Hazelwing looked at the one called Coppertail. "Who is Cactus again?" He narowed his eyes angrily. Basilwing padded out of the warriors' den and looked at the odd newcommers. He looked at Hazelwing in disbeilef "Hazelwing?" he shook his head. Hazelwing looked at the warrior in confusion "Have I met you before as a rogue?" Hazelwing thought for a minute. He found Basilwing when he was but a kit. Hazelwing even brought him to Beachclan! "Ah yes, when you were a strange kit in the forest. No one knew where you came from. It was so long ago, I was still in the clan! I brought you back here remember?" Hazelwing suddenly remembered. Basilwing nodded slightly "Yes I think I do remember, amazingly"

Sandkit followed Lightstream over to where her mother, Coppertail, and some other cats she didn't know were standing. "You wanted to see me Coppertail?" She had meowed to the deputy. She glanced over at her mother, she wasn't sure on what to say to her own mother after a whole moon of waiting of her return.
Brightsoul gazed at her daughter, speechless. It's really her! After so long!

"Cactus is...a rogue," he meowed. He had thought about saying "...is my grandfather" or "...a realtive" but he was sick of throwing himself in with his family. He just wanted to forget his heritage. He was shaken from his thoughts when Lightstream came back with Sandkit. He smiled down at the she-cat. She should've been made an apprentice by now, but in all the confusion of Brightsoul's departure he guessed they had lost track of time.
"Sandkit," he meowed," This is Brightsoul, your mother. She went missing but has StarClan has returned her to us." How will she react? He looked up an Lightstream anxiousily.

Sandkit turned her gaze from Coppertail to the cat that was standing next to him. "Mom?" She hesitated. "Is it actually you?" She gazed at the she-cat. Please... Please!... Let it be her. "Yes, it actually is, and I'm here to stay. At least, until StarClan needs me." Brightsoul meowed. She gazed at her daughter with warmth in her eyes. Let's hope that day, doesn't come for many moons. After hearing those words, Sandkit ran up to her mother and touched noses. "You're finally home." She had murmered. After so long! She's finally home! After a few moments, she pulled away and gazed up at her mother. "Please... don't leave me until they really, actually do."

"Hmm," Duskfur murmured. "Let's check the nursery first." A pang of relief shot through him upon hearing Emberlight's response. She's not mad. That's good...
Lightstream couldn't help but let out a purr as she watched the reunion of the mother and daughter. They're back together again... It's so beautiful! "We really should hold your apprentice ceremony soon, Sandkit," she meowed to the kit with a smile. "Well, once Icestar recovers."

Emberlight poked her head inside the Nursery, while Duskfur checked the outside. She she didn't see an damage, but decided to ease her way in, checking every possible spot for damage, since really, this would be her new home shortly.

Sandkit glanced over at Lightstream. "I hope it'll be soon. I can't wait to start my training!" She meowed excitedly, trying her best to stay calm. Wait... "What happened to Icestar?" I had somehow slept through the whole thing.

Hazelwing flicked his tail irritably "May I stay here in this clan? I have no intentions of going back to the life of a loner" He asked again "I would also change my ways for my brother and sister who once walked amung this camp" Hazelwing sighed sadly.

"Well," Lightstream meowed, "I think she was hit by lightning. I'm not entirely sure what happened, though - I wasn't really, well, here. You might wanna ask someone else."
Duskfur padded around the outside of the nursery, inspecting the wall of ferns carefully. But the intertwined fronds were strong - they had easily withstood the storm. He came back to the entrance, satisfied, and waited for his mate. "Emberlight? Everything look okay in there?"

Emberlight backed out of the den, looking back at Duskfur. "Everything's fine. Let's go check the warriors' den now." She padded along beside her mate, reaching the gorse bush where the warriors' slept. She slipped inside through the entrance, checking inside. She saw a hole in the gorse near the back of the bush, near where she slept. She poked her head out of the hole. "Damage to the back!" she called to Duskfur.

Duskfur had been looking around the side of the den when he heard Emberlight's voice. Damage? That's not good. Hoping it was nothing serious, he padded inside the den and stood next to his mate. At the sight of the hole, his heart jumped a little. How in StarClan did that happen? If we don't repair it, something will get in... "One of us needs to tell Coppertail about this," he murmured.

"Get some rest, then," Duskfur told Emberlight softly, giving her a quick nod. "I'll be right back." He slunk out of the den, and made his way toward the deputy. Lightstream looked up hopefully as he passed her, but Duskfur took no notice. "Coppertail?" He meowed nervously. "There's, um, a hole in the gorse at the back of the warriors' den. We're not sure how it happened."

Coppertail yawned with exhaustion. "Duskfur, take one of the apprentices to gather some thorns of something to patch it up. The storm would of left lots of fallen debris around."
He shook fallen leaves from his pelt and glanced at Hazelwing. "I'll discuss your and Brightsoul's fate," he told him," In the between, everyone can busy themselves with a border and hunting patrol." He turned away and ended for the medicine cat den. I'm so tired I think I could fall asleep on my paws!

Emberlight sighed contentedly, closing her eyes. She thought about her kits, and Duskfur, and everyone. The fiery golden she-cat wrapped her tail around her nose, curling up tightly, and soon she was fast asleep.

Duskfur nodded again, and padded over to the apprentice den. He wasn't sure what he'd find there; he guessed most of the apprentices would be out in the camp by now, but assumed the den was the first place to check. "Hey, anyone there?" He called.

Coppertail approached Duskfur. He had just been talking to Icestar and had a few decisions to make.
"Duskfur," meowed, calling for his attention. "I know you are busy also but Icestar said for us to decide to what to do with Hazelwing and Brightsoul. I've decided they can stay. I'm going to send them both to Quietshadow for a check over and maybe he can bring them up to date." He yawned again and turned to lick a scratch on his shoulder from that mornings battle.

Duskfur sighed internally, and unconsciously let his ears droop a little. He wasn't particularly happy with all these warriors suddenly returning after being gone so long. He knew they'd be loyal warriors, but still couldn't shake off the feeling of mistrust - he couldn't be certain where any of them had been before their return. But they should have the right to stay... "I-I think that's a good idea, Coppertail. They should remain in BeachClan if they wish to." He smiled nervously, dipping his head. "Do you know where Swallowpaw is, by the way?"

Coppertail nodded and turned to Hazelwing. "Yes, you can stay," he confimred," Go see Quietshadow and he will give you a check over. Then Tigerstripe can organise your nest in the warrior den."
Duskfur seemed slightly more nervous then usual and he could understand why. In the last moon, three new warriors had joined the Clan. Even if Brightsoul hadn't been gone for long, it was second nature for the Clan to be wary of them. "Swallowpaw," he meowed cheerfully. The apprentice had finally turned up. "You, Bramblethorn, Basilwing and Thunderpaw can take a border patrol. Pay close attention to the AquaClan border. By some chance, Quailkit might return."
