"You're right," Tigerstripe mewed, glancing at Lightstream as a quiver of hope rose in her voice. "She probably did...anybody care to check with me? Not you, Thunderpaw," she added with a glance at him. "One cat missing is already a big enough problem."

Inkpaw looked at the two cats before him. "T-treatment? No! I mean...I am fine...really." He said wrapping his tail around himself.

Icestar nooded at Lightstream. "I can go," Icestar meowed. "We can maybe find a patrol and see if they have seen her." she meowed, trying to think positive.
She smiled, then frowned very quickly. Thinking of what could've happened.

Quietshadow frowned. "Just some cobwebs to press on the wound. That stops the bleeding. It doesn't appear very big, but if the wound gets infected you'll need a poultice and some herbs. It should heal fine on its own though."
Tigerstripe glared at Icestar. "You mean other clans' patrols? We can't have had any because everyone was in camp for the ceremony." She put a paw in the river and paused.

"It's the only way to find out if they found Quailkit, or if she's dead, or if she's still out there," Icestar hissed.
"It's up to you, for the sake of your kit," she hissed. She looked at the queen with a cold glare. Stormcloud stepped up. "I'll come with you two," he meowed. Icestar nodded and pounced into the river. The waves were really high, but she swam like the was walking on the ground. She at the other side of the river by the time Stormcloud was in the water.
She was able to swim easily but hard to get out. Icestar grabbed his scuff and was able to pull him up.
"Thanks," he meowed. Icestar didn't answer. /Is our love falling apart because she's leader?/ Stormcloud thought.
"Coming Tigerstripe?" Icestar hissed.

How about the run into a patrol lead by Rockfang? Redwind and Browntail can be in it?

bic: Grumbling, Tigerstripe swam quickly across. "I meant that we haven't sent out any patrols," she meowed irritably before leaping up on the other side of the riverbank and shaking off. She sniffed around a bit, even though she knew that any trace of Quailkit's scent would have been washed away by the water.
A large tortoiseshell she-cat padded through the tall AquaClan grass. She had several scars on her pelt, ranging from a few small ones from accidental brushes with thorn to a wide one on her left flank from a bite wound. She lifted her head to glance at the river. The AquaClan deputy didn't like what she saw.
"Browntail! Redwind!" Rockfang hissed. "We have trespassers." She sniffed the air once and frowned. "BeachClan cats--apparently swam across. Should we sneak up and attack, charge to drive them off, or demand why they're here before we do anything?"

"I say chase off," Redwind hissed. "Me too," Browntail agreed. He smiled and sniff the air. "Acutally something fun to do for once." he hissed. He looked through the grass and eyed the cats. "I think it's Icestar, Tigerstripe, and Stormcloud? I haven't seen him since that last gathering about ten moons ago," he meowed. "When we were apprentices, remember Redwind?" he asked. "Oh yeah, that cat was taken by Twolegs." Redwind meowed.
Redwind was ready to run over to the cats before Browntail put his tail over her mouth. "Wait for Rockfang's signal. How about we all stand in different places and then charge." he suggested.

Rockfang nodded. "I don't care if Morningstar herself is standing with them. They're in our territory and we need to chase them out. Browntail, you run in from the right side. Redwind, take the left. I'll go dead center. When I start running you do the same. Go in a straight line, right at them." She crouched down among the tall grass. "Get ready."

Coppertail nodded to Quietshadow and Inkpaw. "Take care of him okay? He's probably just worried about Quailkit. I better go join the patrol." He turned on heel and ran off, following the patrol's trail. He spotted Thunderpaw first, standing beside the Rushing River. On the other side, in AquaClan territory stood Icestar, Stormcloud, Tigerstripe and Lightstream. "Fools," he hissed under his breath," They look like an attacking party." The faint scent AquaClan warriors hit him and he realised that the patrol was in trouble.
"Thunderpaw. Go back to camp. Tell whoever is there what is going on," he told the apprentice. He then turned his attention to the BeachClan warriors. "Lightstream! Stomcloud," he yowled," Cross back over now. Tigerstripe, move back. Don't fight. Defend. I can scent AquaClan."

"Okay, Coppertail!" Thunderpaw meowed before running from his side of the river in the direction of camp.
Quietshadow nodded and ran back to his den. He returned a moment later holding a wad of cobwebs in his jaws. "This doesn't hurt, I promise," he mewed in a muffled voice. "It stops the bleeding so the wound can have an easier time of healing on its own." He turned his head and perked up his ears as something scurried in from the ferns surrounding camp. "Hello, Thunderpaw. Have they found Quailkit?"
"Not yet," he replied. "But Mom and Icestar and Lightstream and Stormcloud and Coppertail crossed the river looking for her and now they're in AquaClan territory! Just as I was leaving I heard Coppertail telling Lightstream and Stormcloud to cross back so it's just him, Icestar, and Mom over there."
Quietshadow nodded. "A bit confusing, but it'll do. He probably scented a patrol..."
"Mouse-dung."
Tigerstripe did as Coppertail told her and backed up until her hind paw hit the mud directly surrounding the river. She decided to not go back any farther; after all, Coppertail had only told her to move back and not cross.

Lightstream nodded. "Yes, Coppertail." She scrambled onto the brown bank, and splashed into the shallows. She stepped back into the rapids, for once thinking about how to get across rather than how pretty the water was. As she struggled back onto the BeachClan side, she quickly shook herself off. "Stormcloud! Coming?" she called across the river, then turned to the deputy. "Why would they attack us? Once we explain what's going on it should be okay, right?"

Redwind ran to her positon quietly. Browntail did the same. He was alittle mad about Rockfang's additude but it's her job.
Icestar sniffed the air. "Aquaclan, get ready, there is three of them," she whispered to Tigerstripe. She noticed Coppertail. She signaled him to come across and help. "Come on!" she whispered, it sounded like she didn't even make a sound.

Coppertail nodded to Lightstream as she passed and quickly swam across the river. Shaking water from his fur he stood beside Icestar. "Stormcloud go back," he hissed quietly," We don't want to seem like we're attacking."
He raised his nose to the air and drank in the scent. "AquaClan!" he called," We're here looking for Tigerstripe's kit. We're not here to fight!"

Rockfang flattened herself against the ground and whispered to her patrol, "What do you think, AquaClan? Is it an attack in disguise? I think so." She dropped her weight down to her paws, ready to spring.
"Coppertail," Tigerstripe mewed meekly, "I don't think that AquaClan is willing to listen to reason." Jaystar must not be on this patrol then. She smiled faintly. Wait until he hears about them trying to stop the search patrol. Jaystar wouldn't let any cat slide if they were hindering efforts to find his daughter, now, would he?

Lightstream heard Coppertail's call to the AquaClan warriors, though she couldn't quite catch Tigerstripe's response over the roaring of the river. Why's Stormcloud still over there? she wondered. "Stormcloud! Come on!" She called again, her tail tip twitching a little in annoyance. Her whole body tingled with the tension in the air. What's going to happen?

Quailkit has wandered off and Lightstream, Tigertstripe, Thunderpaw, Icestar and Stormcloud formed a patrol to look for her. They crossed the river into AquaClan territory. Coppertail joined them and alerted the patrol to the AquaClan patrols presence. He ordered Thunderpaw back to camp and had Lightstream and Stormcloud cross back over. Stormcloud however has ignored his command and Coppertail has crossed the river at Icestar's request.

"I think I've realised that," Coppertail whispered, grimacing. "Tigerstripe cross back over please. Stormcloud you too. I will not repeat that order. Icestar and I can handle this."
He bunched up his muscles and crouched down in a spring. If it really came to it he would fight.
"We're just here looking for Quailkit!" he yowled at Rockfang," If were going to attack we would of bought a bigger group. There's no way we could defeat the mighty Rockfang."
Perhaps compliments would help...

Tigerstripe glanced at Coppertail. "She didn't say to cross back per se." Nonetheless, she turned around and swam back across the river to BeachClan territory. Can it get any worse?!
Rockfang smirked, standing up but not leaving her spot in the grass. "Come over here and plead your case," she yowled. Then she lowered her voice so that only her clanmates could hear her. "If they make one false move I want you to treat them as you would any other tresspasser. Jaystar will hear about this nonetheless."

Coppertail slunk forward,keeping close to the ground. His amber eyes were focused on Rockfang's, his ears swiverling to catch any sounds the two hidden AquaClan warriors made.
"Tigerstripe's kit has strayed from camp. It's possible that she has crossed the river into AquaClan. The water is quite shallow in places. We were hoping you had seen or scented her. The warrior code states that you can't hurt or watch a kit being hurt no matter what Clan it is in. Have you seen her?"

Rockfang relaxed. "I know the warrior code. I haven't seen Quailkit or any kit for that matter, well, apart from Shadowsoul's--for quite a while now. There was nothing abnormal on our patrol apart from a deer herd grazing near the Willow Tree and a few trout splashing in the river. Sorry, Coppertail, if it doesn't help you." She quickly tightened her muscles. "If you're on AquaClan territory for any other reason ever again, we will attack you and it will not be good."

Icestar let out a hiss. "We're on a search patrol!" she spat. "We need to know if you've found Quailkit," she snarled. "Have you seen the mouse-brained kit?" she hissed.
"Coppertail, they're not going to listen. They're Aquaclan. What do you suspect." she meowed. Her tail waved back in foruth. Her eyes showed anger. The icey glare at Rockfang made Stormcloud scramble to the other side of the river.
"Icestar, give up," he muttered, not letting her hear.

"I just told Coppertail that we haven't," Rockfang growled, now getting a bit irritated. "Unless, of course, she's a deer or fish." Then, lowering her voice so that only Browntail and Redwind could hear, she meowed, "If they don't leave fast we attack." She flexed her leg muscles, readying herself to pounce.

"So... they haven't found her yet?" Lightstream whispered to Tigerstripe and Stormcloud, moving a little closer to the other cats. Though she hadn't been able to pick up parts of the conversation on the other side of the river, she thought she'd gotten the gist of it. She shook her head. "But AquaClan can't think that just because their patrol hasn't seen her means she's not in their territory at all, right? Aren't they going to let us look for her?"

Tigerstripe shook her head and looked at Lightstream. "No, they haven't." She glanced at the other side of the river before continuing on. "Rockfang's in the patrol. She won't listen to reason--or let us step on their territory for any reason. We nearly got killed just for this. At least they don't know that technically she's an apprentice who just missed her ceremony. Otherwise we'd have our fur off. The warrior code doesn't say that you have to show mercy to an apprentice."

Tigerstripe perked her head up. Surely he would search for Quailkit! She gave her tail a friendly flick to indicate her presence. Maybe he would even let her search with him. The warrior softly sighed.

Coppertail's muscles relazed slightly. Hopefully Jaystar could talk some sense into his warriors.
"Jaystar, can you at least let us check your territory throughly? She may not of been on the borders when Rockfang and her patrol passed by. Two warriors with your patrol is all we ask. We have to find Qualkit before something else does."
Owlspot was out hunting by himself. He was attempting to catch one of the trouts Rockfang had spotted on her patrol. He crouched down, tail flicking. He spotted a fish slowly swimming up the river and his paw darted out. His claws caught the the trout and he flung it to the shore. It flopped from side to side, gasping for air. Smiling with triumph he pinned the wiggling creature down and dispatched it with a well-aimed bite. "And they said I wouldn't catch one."
