Icestar let out a cold glare at Tigerstripe. /How could she be in love with a tom who doesn't care about his kits!/ "Quailkit is going to Aquaclan, she didn't like Beachclan." Icestar figured out. "Jaystar, we can take you back to our camp and have Quietshadow look at you," she offered, to her 'friend.' /Can't believe we've lost our friendship, all because of a mouse-brained secret./ Icestar thought.

Jaystar said nothing and narrowed his eyes. /Morningstar, please, explain what you said to Tigerstripe and myself that first night/ he begged /Show Icestar that Starclan accepts this!/

Icestar held her head up and frowned. "Fine, Beachclan, lets go," she ordered. She started to walk away until... Redwind hissed. Icestar turned around and her eyes let out a cold glare. Icestar then hissed back. "Aquaclan doesn't need your help," Redwind spat. "Well then why can't you help your leader and learn how to swim?" Icestar snarled back to her. "Well atleast we can keep our kits in camp," Redwind meowed, with a smile. The two she-cats were on the same sides of the river.
"Your in Beachclan territory," Stormcloud put in. Redwind pounced at Icestar. Icestar ripped at her flank. Redwind bit onto Icestar's black neck. Browntail pounced at Stormcloud.
They tossed each other and claws and teeth out and sharpened.

Jaystar let out a shrill howl "Stop!" He hissed furiously and heaved himself up. "Aquaclan, back to Aquaclan territory!" He ordered. "Icestar, leave this border" the old leader grunted and struggled to stay standing. "We will discuss this the next gathering" He flicked his tail and stumbled to get back to camp.

Tigerstripe stalked away and Thunderpaw joyously bounded off in front of her.
Rockfang slunk up and glared at Icestar and Stormcloud as they tussled with Redwind and Browntail. "If we ever catch any of you on AquaClan territory ever again, we will not hesitate to attack. Hear that?" She jumped into the river and splashed across, shaking herself off on the opposite bank.

Lightstream sighed and scurried after Tigerstripe. "So... she's staying in AquaClan for good, then?" She murmured, looking at her paws sadly. "I was really looking forward to mentoring an apprentice like her, you know. I - well, I admired her a lot. And I've never had an apprentice before..." Her voice trailed off.

"You could always run away to AquaClan too, you know," Tigerstripe said with a smirk. "I haven't either, though. I'm sure that Icestar'll let you mentor Thunderpaw if he proves too be too much to handle--which he will, of course. Although they're not the same...we'll have to keep track of her at Gatherings. And who knows, we might see her in a border patrol. Oh, mouse-dung. Poor Quailkit. You know how it's traditional for the deputy to mentor the leader's kit?"

"I really do like it here," Lightstream sighed. "Do you think Icestar would really let me mentor Thunderpaw? He might be a bit much for me to handle, too, though..." She glanced at the apprentice and let out a small purr of amusement.
"The deputy to mentor the leader's kit, huh? But Icestar doesn't have any kits, does she?" She pondered for a moment, then raised her head, smiling. "Well, I hope Quailkit's happy - wherever she wants to live."

Jaystar grunted with effort to get back to camp. "Beachclan should be driven out" He mumbled to Rockfang. "Icestar will pay" He growled fiercly, meaning every word.

"She might," Tigerstripe meowed. "Traditionally the leader doesn't really ever have an apprentice unless all of the warriors already have one. I don't know about Icestar having kits, but if that holds up for AquaClan, then Quailkit will be mentored by Rockfang!"
Rockfang nodded in agreement. "I'll gladly help you. They've got issues. But it won't be today...it's getting kinda close to sun-down." She raised her voice. "Redwind! Browntail! We'll tear BeachClan to pieces later, okay? And if you've got a problem with leaving," she added in a growl, "don't take it up with me. Jaystar's telling you to go."

Owlspot pulled Redwind away from Icestar, snarling.
"Thanks again Coppertail, I better get going," he told his brother.
"This divided Clan thing isn't working much is it?" Coppertail meowed sadly.
"No, not really. Our leaders are fighting with each other and now Quailkit has ran away. I'll make sure she's okay. I swear!"
"Thanks," Coppertail purred, touching noses with his brother.
Owlspot smiled weakly before padding away. "Another time Coppertail!"
"Bye," he whispered. Why do I feel like this? This torment....My loyalty is to my Clan. But if we meet in battle. Will I be able to hurt my own brother and his mate? Kin?

Icestar kicked Redwind away, Stormcloud did the same to Browntail. "You'll never have the Rushing river as yours if you act and fight like that!" Icestar snarled. Redwind let out a hiss. Browntail did the same. Icestar ignored it. "Stay away!" Stormcloud snarled. "And getr off our territory!" "Make us!" Redwind spat. "Redwind, we should go," Browntail meowed calmly. "No!" Redwind retorted. Browntail pushed Redwind into the river. They swam next to each other till they made it across.

"Oh! I guess I don't know much about traditions, then," Lightstream giggled. "Rockfang, eh? Looks like Quailkit's gonna have a lot to put up with, too - Hey, did you just say she was the leader's kit?" She blinked in confusion.

Jaystar struggled to keep striving on to camp. He winced and panted as his breaths grew shorter. He finally gave up, and he collasped onto the ground and fainted.

As Jaystar collapsed, Rockfang perked her ears up and her eyes widened. "Oh, mouse-dung! Quietshadow! We need help!"
Tigerstripe whirled around at the sound of Rockfang's voice and she could feel a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. Jaystar surely can't be...dead? Oh, great StarClan, don't let him be dead...! The medicine cat sprinted past her and leapt into the water. Quietshadow quickly and easily swam across with the small bundle of herbs in his jaws. He ran over towards Jaystar. Panting heavily, he began to examine the gray leader.
After a short, tense moment, Rockfang asked, "Is he, uh, you know, alive?"
Quietshadow nodded. "He's fainted. After nearly drowning like he did, you can expect his breathing to be heavier and harder. He should regain conciousness but you'll need to keep an eye out for whitecough and greencough. Make sure Moonstream has plenty of catmint on hand."

"Oh, alright," Lightstream muttered at Tigerstripe's response. "Yes, it can get a bit confusing, can't it?"
At Rockfang's call, her ears pricked up, and she stopped in her tracks. What's going on over there? She cast a quick glance at Tigerstripe, unsure of what to do.

"I think Quietshadow's got him taken care of," Tigerstripe meowed slowly. "I don't want to risk going on their territory again...look at what happened just now." She flicked her tail and stared across the river at the cats on the other side. Jaystar seemed okayish, but he obviously wasn't 100 percent.

Lightstream nodded. "Should we head back, then?" She turned away. Jaystar wasn't her leader, but for some reason she did feel a pang of worry for him. She didn't want to see any cat die right now - even the leader of another Clan.

Icestar limped back to camp. As mad as ever. She looked up at the stars. She saw her mothers face along the stars. Silverpelt blinked and glistened throughout the whole sky. "Mother, please help!" she whispered. "Beachclan isn't treated like they used too," she meowed softly. "Take pride, take...." Morningstar whispered in her ear. Icestar's head flung around to see nothing but her medicine cat helping Jaystar. "Quietshadow! We need you at camp! Now!" she ordered.

"I guess," Tigerstripe meowed heavily. "Icestar seems awfully mad about something...look at me! My daughter's ran away to AquaClan and I'm perfectly fine!" She flicked her tail irritably and turned around in the direction of camp.
Quietshadow blinked. "Sorry, Icestar. As a medicine cat I am obligated to help any cat who is in need of it. Once Jaystar gets up I'll be right over."

Redwind gasped. "OH no!!" she meowed. "Someone help!" she meowed.
Morningstar glowed in Jaystar's head. "It's not your time to lose another life," she told him. "It was wrong for you to start that battle, but it was mouse-brained for a Beachclan leader to fight over a kit of yours," she meowed. "Now, go back," she told him, then her starry pelt started to fade.

if your not cool with that Idea I thought of just ssay so!! I'm going to let Icestar loose a life in my next post here

Quietshadow whirled around to look at Redwind. "What? Jaystar seems okay as far as I can see...is someone else in trouble?" He scented the air before looking back at her. "Or do I just need to get off of your territory right now?"
Rockfang shrugged. "Stay for a moment unless she says otherwise, I guess."

Jaystar woke with a jerk. "W-What happened?" He asked in a daze. He looked around quickly and tried to get up. Jaystar let out a staggered breath as his side began to surge with pain.

"Relax," Quietshadow meowed. "You nearly drowned and fainted. Take a moment to catch your breath and just stay there. When you get back to camp have Moonstream give you some catmint. Just to prevent greencough because of the water in your lungs. Don't try to stress yourself, especially with your injury from the battle."
Rockfang rolled her eyes at the medicine cat. "Do you think he's really going to listen to that?"
"Jaystar will if he knows what's good for him," Quietshadow retorted, narrowing his yellow eyes.

Icestar looked at the sky. She felt a shock go through her, it was raining, hard. The shock went through her muzzle to her tail tip. She fell off the high rock and onto the sandy surface of the camp. She saw her mother once she woke up, but she didn't think it was it. "Mother? Where am I?" Icestar asked. Her mother's starry pelt glittered in her eyes. "You've lost another life. You were to high. The is lightning, and you were shocked." she informed her. "But I can't loose another life! My clan needs me!" she retorted. "No, you stay here and rest," Morningstar meowed sternly.
Morningstar's starry pelt started to fade away. "No! Don't go!" Icestar meowed softly. "Please," she pleaded.

Tigerstripe screamed and backed up as Icestar fell. "What happened?!" she meowed, shocked (not literally, of course). In curiousity, Thunderpaw padded over to his mentor and stood over her. "Icestar?" he mewed meekly. "Are you okay?"
Quietshadow heard the roar of thunder accompanying the strike and whirled around, wildly looking for any signs of damage. "Great StarClan...what happened here?" he asked.
Rockfang sniffed the air. "Smells like something is burning."
The medicine cat groaned. "Oh no. What if...? I'm sorry Jaystar, but I have to go and look. You seem all right and I need to make sure my clan is okay." He turned tail and began to sprint in the direction of camp.

Quietshadow barely heard Jaystar but nodded in recognition at his words. He quickly splashed across the river and continued his sprint to camp. Upon arrival, he gently pushed Thunderpaw aside and began to examine Icestar. "Are you okay?" he meowed. "Well, obviously not, seeing as you've just been struck by lightning--but can you see and breathe all right?"
