Burntstar strolled into the rogue nest. "Hello!" he yowled," I've come with an offer to serve the finest clan in the forest!"
"So if you would like to leave your stealing life style behind. You can join Aquaclan," added Suntail.
A large scarred calico tom approached the duo. "Sun, what do you think your doing?" he asked.
"Suntail," she corrected," I'm helping my clan."
"The same clan which kicked you out?" her father taunted.
"No," Suntail meowed," I ran away. Would you like to join?"
Her father shrugged. "Maybe."
"Please Cactus," purred Burntstar.

A dark warrior appeared from behind the three cats. "Aquaclan" He growled "That weak leader Jaystar doesn't know what he's doing, he has no proper training at all if you ask me, we should kill him now" Stoneclaw hissed, angry that the Aquaclan leader exiled him moons ago.

"Stoneclaw," scolded Suntail. Burntstar however sighed and gave his friend a warm greeting.
"Jaystar just needs a little help, that's all," he meowed," He deserves to live."
"This wouldn't be the cat you tried to kill Burntstar?" asked Cactus.
"It was a mistake," he growled to the old tom.
"Burntstar!" exclaimed Suntail," Be nice."

Stoneclaw's crystal blue eyes burned "It had better be" He growled menacingly sheathing and unsheathing his claws "Why should we join Aquaclan? It's grown so pathetic since Jaystar was leader, Burntstar should be!" Stoneclaw protested

"Oh come one," Burntstar cried," I'm obviousily not fit for leadership in the eyes of Starclan. Jaystar just needs good warriors at his side. With Owlspot as one of his warriors the clan will be unstoppable."
Suntail hissed. "Would you both stop it. We all got exiled end of story. Just let it drop."
Cactus yawned. "What is this Jaystar really like?"
"He's okay" murmurmed Suntail.
"I'm meeting him tommorow night with the cats I've collected," Burntstar told his father-in-law.
"Look," growled Cactus," How about I meet him and decide for myself."
Burntstar sighed," Whatever you want. I need to go and talk to Icestar anyway."

Cactus gave Stoneclaw a cold glare. "I'll stay here and gather up your rogues while you all go and have a chat with this...Icestar."
Suntail gave her father a rough lick on the head. "Thank-you," she purred.
Burntstar nodded," Come one, lets go give Icestar her surprise visit."

Cactus turned to Suntail. "Do you really think rogues will want to join this clan of yours?" he asked.
"I hope so," the golden brown tabby meowed sadly," I really want to help them."
Cactus sighed," I'll see if I can get some." This brightened Suntail up almost immediately. She gave her father a lick over the ear and began yowling out into the nest of rogues "The forest needs your services mighty rogues. Secure your place in Starclan with Aquaclan!"

Stone laughed. "Why would I? I was born in AquaClan and I hated it, so I ran away. StarClan doesn't exist. Why should I help other cats go about their day-to-day business when I can manage perfectly fine on my own?" He flicked his ears aggressively before scowling and pawing at the ground indignantly.

Stoneclaw woke from his nest. He stretched and walked grumpily outside to see Suntail harping about Starclan again. "We left Aquaclan now. I know what you're doing, Suntail, but I don't think any rogue is wiling to go back to that mouse-brained Jaystar" He hissed

"They will join," she hissed," In fact, we'll make our own clan." She smiled and scampered away.
Living away from clan cats had done some damage to Suntail. She had been raised as a rogue with 6 moons and then as a clan cat. Now she was a rogue again. She missed her warm moss bed in the warriors den and the pile of fresh-kill. She missed the clan and she missed her kits.

Stone rolled on his back and looked up at the others. "I'm the only rogue who was born in AquaClan," he mewed stiffly. "If we really wanted to be part of a Clan, Aqua or otherwise, don't you think that we would have joined one by now?"

Cactus yawned," I'm sorry Suntail. Nobody is really interested. But I'm sure if there was a better reason to team up we would."
Suntail sighed sadly," I'm so lonely..."
Cactus pressed his muzzle up against hers. "You have Burntstar," he meowed," He loves you."
Suntail looked away. "I love him too but with all the Clans thinking he's going to kill them we haven't been able to get a moments rest."
"I'm sure it'll all quiet down soon," her father meowed," Why don't you go and find your kits and talk to them? They're probably out hunting somewhere."
Suntail sniffed," I suspose." She turned away and ran off into the forest.
Cactus turned to Stone sadly, "Why do I get the feeling we're all doomed?"

Stone shrugged. "Dunno. What are you going to be doomed from anyways?"The rogue's voice was calm and casual, as usual. He rolled back over on to his belly, sat up, and gave his chest fur a quick lick.

Stone tilted his head to one side and collapsed once more. "StarClan doesn't even exist. I couldn't care less about what you do, so long as it doesn't involve me." He rolled over on to his other side and rubbed his back against the ground. "Can't reach that itch."

"Is that all you want? Power?" Stone sat up once more. "Rogues like myself don't seek control. We want dominance. We want the Clans to tremble in fear at the mere mention of our names. But power? If you want to take over the forest then you need organization. Rogues are unorganized. We do as we please."

Cactus gave a false cough. "It's pointless trying to get the clans to fear us. There's always one cat who will encourage them in spirit. They have StarClan. Their belief makes them strong. Anyway, according to what's-his-name there are forests with 5 clans plus StarClan. We could make a clan if we wanted but everyone is already happy how they are."
"Do you mean that rogue-kittypet-loner-clan cat?" meowed Suntail. She dropped a mouse on the ground and sat down beside Stone. She dipped her head down and nibbled at the cat's itch. "You've probably got fleas or something Stone," she mumbled.
Cactus spat as Suntail mentioned the cat he was thinking of. "What is with that cat? He's got all four paws in each world. That's why I don't let him in here anymore," Cactus snarled angrily.
The cat they were thinking of was an ex-kittypet named Faunus. Well, most of the time he was called Faunus. He occasionally introduced himself as Leaf, Fernheart, Thorn, Lonestrike and a variety of other names. He was mass disliked around the rogue community because of his past with the clan cats.

"Probably," Stone shook his ears. "Thanks. But we're far from a Clan, like I said. A better word for it would be an...alliance. We don't fight each other as long as we don't anger each other. But we don't really socialize a lot. We're on our own here, remember that. And like I said, we're happy."

"That's the rogue way of thinking," he mewed, blinking and shaking his ears once more. Stone yawned and stretched out his front legs. His muscles were visible under his sleek pelt. Other than his probable fleas, Stone was an image of a perfectly healthy cat.

Cactus gazed at the group of rogues and exiled cats. "Do you know what I think?" he meowed.
Suntail looked up from the mouse she was eating. "What?" she asked. Her voice had no enthusiam. She had already given up.
Cactus cleared his throat. "I think we should gather up the rouges. Create a sort of clan where we can come and go as we please. Where we can hunt and know if we don't catch anything we can share with the others. Where there will be support and help if we need it."
"Where we will have respect," meowed another voice. A ginger and black tom broke through the undergrowth. Suntail smiled and padded over to greet him. They wound around one another in a show of pure affection. Behind him came a lightly built spotted tom. His eyes were a muddy blue colour that seemed to burn through the pelts of the cats. "Owlspot!" cried Suntail," What brings you here?" She licked her son's ear happily.
He rubbed his muzzle against hers. "Nothing good," he meowed," The leader of FrostClan is dead and the survival of her deputy is questionable, the medicine cat of RainClan has vanished and BeachClan and AquaClan has formed an alliance. Against you I'm guessing. I can feel Coppertail's turmoil."

Stone began to lick his paw. "I assume my daughter had no part in it. She's not very trusting," the rogue mewed casually. "And will you stop being such a big bunch of mouse-brains? Rogues do not equal a Clan. We don't want to be a Clan. Pretty simple."

"Exactly" Stoneclaw flicked his tail. "Forming an alliance eh?" He sneered "Two of the smallest clans gathering together because one of the leaders gets an idea in their head is quite amusing if you ask me" He narrowed his eyes.

"There's no point into having Clans at all," Stone replied flatly, as though becoming tired of repeating himself just to prove his point. "The only time rogues usually stay in groups is if we're attacking someone or if there's a family with kits."
