"Ah...I'd imagine so," Badger said, looking toward the river as well. "I wonder if that one cat has caught the traitor yet," he mumbled, sitting down and licking his chest.

"Traitor?" mewed Nightshade, ears perking up. "Who is it?" She unsheathed her small, not particuarily sharp claws. Perhaps there was something she could do about it...

"I think they called him 'Stone'," Badger said, laying down and tucking his paws beneath him. He obviously didn't seem to care much.

"Stone...interesting name," she purred. "Tell me a bit more about this." Nightshade didn't really care, but she wanted to catch up on the times, especially in this new territory.

"I don't know much either than that. Just the fact he killed a cat named Stoneclaw," Badger said, his voice tured. His eyes were half closed lazily, his injred ears twitching even more. There was this pesky little flea or something that was making it itch.

Nightshade shrugged. "How dull," she mewed. The rogue shot a glance of disdain at Badger. Ew, fleas. She flicked her tail critically.

Badger yawned and sat up, pushing himself to his paws. He plopped down onto his haunches, lifting one of his paws an dbatting at his ear. The itch left and didn't seem to come back. It seemed it probably wasn't a flea and just an itch. He purred in amusement at the thought, his eyes sparkling slightly. "Apparently there's going to be a battle," he said to the she-cat, an almost excited look on his face.

"Facinating," Nightshade mewed dryly. "I don't really care." The slender black she-cat wasn't very fond of fighting. She had always found someone else to do it for her.

Badger chuckled at her dry answer, a dark look entering into his eyes. "I do. The more I think about it, the more I wanna rip something's throat out," he mewed, his body trembling in anticipation.

"Not mine," Nightshade mewed, demonstrating her assertiveness. "Go kill someone else." She flicked an ear out of boredom.

Badger took in a depp breath, puffing out his chest. He exhaled, calming himself. He stood and shook himself, his scar glistening in the sun.

Nightshade rolled over on her belly. She was already bored with this new territory. There was nothing going on. Despite her lack of fighting abilities, Nightshade was a cat of action.

Badger sniffed the air boredly. "Hey...you wanna go poke fun at one of the clans?" he asked, obviously bored as well. It'd be fun to poke some fun at those group of cowards.

"Sure," mewed Nightshade, standing up. The rogue obviously had nothing better to do. She hadn't done much lately, to tell the truth. She yawned once. "Where to?"

Badger sat, thinking slightly. "Let's see...BeachClan sounds like a good area...unless you want to go after somebody else," he asked, looking at her with a kee, pale eye.

"Who's the closest?" asked Nightshade. "I've come a long way and I don't want to go very far." She looked at her slightly cracked paw pads. Too much travel.

"I really don't know. Just got here myself. I only know the names of this clan because of an old rogue I ran into a while back," Badger said, his whiskers trembling.

Spider burst out from the bushes and landed on all fours, glancing widly around. He sniffed the air briefly before plunging back into them again. There was a yelp of terror and Spider came stumbling out again. The large calico body of Cactus pushed out through the bushes. "Couldn't you smell that I was in there?" he growled. Spider shook his head in terror. Cactus was big, threatening and the biggest cat around. Anyone would be afraid of him. Spider mumbled a quick apology before jumping up and scampering over to where Badger and Nightshade were talking.

Badger looked over to the fearful Spider, his eyes widening slightly. "Hey, what happened to you?" he asked, looking over the trembling cat with a tiny bit of amusement.

"And who are you?" Nightshade added. The fur on her neck that had stood on end when the two cats arrived was now beginning to lay flat, although her small white claws were still unsheathed. She flicked her tail curiously.

Badger looked over at Nightshade, growling at her, a short message saying 'calm down.' He flicked his tail toward Spider, his eyes wandering toward the big, approaching tom which he had never seen. "The black one is Spider. I've never met the bigger one," he said, eyeing Cactus cautiously.

Nightshade glared at the two cats. "Hello," she meowed stiffly. "I am Nightshade." She flicked her tail, ready to fight. She was expecting some hostility from the other rogues. Where she came from, cats outside of Clans were on their own, except for maybe a close friend or mate.

Badger chuckled slightly at Nightshade's hostility. "You don't need to worry about Spider. He's too scared to fight a mouse right now, by the looks of him," the big tom chuckled, waving his tail in amusement.

Nightshade smirked. "He does," she agreed. "That big one...what about him?" the rouge she-cat mewed, flicking her tail in Cactus's direction. She shifted her wait between her front paws. Not in a nervous way; she was actually giving off the appearance of being slightly threatening.

Badger shook his head, showing he didn't know the large tom. "Never met him, but he doesn't look like he wants to start a fight. Better lay off before he DOES want to start a fight," he said.

Nightshade rolled her eyes but followed Badger's advice. A fight right away would not be too beneficial to her...or any of the other rogues, for that matter. "Fine," she meowed.

Spider shuddered. "Hello Nightshade," he meowed quickly, nodding in her direction. "The big one is Cactus. He's the boss really. His word is law really," Spider explained. He drank in the new cats scent. She smelt cold...of high up places and far away lands. Mountains he thought. Cactus snarled. The tom had picked up the scent of Stoneclaw's blood. "Where is Stoneclaw?" he asked the cats. A cream-ginger tabby padded across the clearing. She touched Cactus's shoulder with her nose. A sign of affection. She followed his gaze to the pool of blood on the ground. She drew back her lips and tasted the air. "Stoneclaw?" she mumbled. She had partially grown up with the grumpy and irrational tom.

"Hm." Nightshade sat down. She couldn't care less about which cat was in charge...so long as it was her. Perhaps it was time to learn how to fight for herself, for real? These rogues seemed far from controllable. She unsheated her claws and looked at them, bored.

Badger sniffed, looking in the direction of the blood as well. "He got killed. Some cat named Stone killed him, I think," he said, his tail twitching as he eyed the new she-cat.
