Burntstar growled at sat den in a nest of moss. Suntail sat down beside him followed by Suntail.
"You'll find very soon that hunting will be harder. Patrols will be increased and we'll be chased off," Burntstar meowed.
"If there's an alliance that mean there's going to be a battle," Owlspot meowed.
"A battle?" Suntail meowed numbly," What if Honeyfrost or Flaxeyes or Coppertail is killed?"
"I scented Coppertail and Flaxeyes on my way here," Owlspot replied," I think they'll be fine. "
"But a battle?" Suntail meowed again.
Cactus growled loudly. "See? We need to attack first. We have a right to hunting territory. A right to go as we please. Rogues, bah. That's an insult. We're free cats."
Burntstar nodded in agreement. "They'll attack because of me. They're afraid of me because of the whole Jaystar thing." The tom swallowed nervously and continued,"We need to show them that we fight or show them we mean no harm. Fight or don't fight? It's our choice."

Stoneclaw padded over to Burntstar "That's an easy choice isn't it?" He meowed "We should fight. They deserve it" He hissed thinking of when Jaystar exiled all three of them out of camp once he was made leader.

Burntstar snorted. "I let Jaystar exile me. Perhaps we should give him what he has feared. Him and Icestar."
Owlspot let out a faint 'mhmm' He wasn't really interested in attacking th clans. He just wanted Jaystar to learn to respect him.
Suntail nodded. "I will not have my kits miserable. Why do his he hate you so?" she meowed woefully.
"I've spent moons trying to prove myself and I got so close when I was fighting with Sheena. So close and then it's gone," Owlspot murmured," I haven't done anything to them yet they all hate me." Suntail and Burntstar licked their son's head in reassurance.
"Who is with me in fighting the Clans for the respect we deserve?" Cactus yowled.

Stone's ears perked up. He was still in his nest, while the others had moved. He could still hear their voices though...
A single thought was firmly latched in the tom's brain. Tell her! He couldn't care less about the Clans, but with the attack probably being aimed at Jaystar and his daughter as deputy, Rockfang would be in the line of fire. As silently as he could, Stone stepped out of his mossy nest, out of the abandoned fox den he slept in, and turned around. His senses were fully aware of every whisker twitch, every breath that the exlied cats took. Please don't catch me!

Stoneclaw let out a satified growl. "Finally" He hissed. "Can we? It's been awhile since we've attacked a clan" He sneered "It might be fun" He meowed menacingly, sheathing and unsheathing his claws at the floor.

Unnoticed, Stone turned and slowly crept away from rogue territory. When he could no longer smell fresh scent of the exiled cats, he broke into an all-out run towards the Clan territory. I have to tell Rockfang!

Owlspot's pricked up. "Where did Stone go?" he asked, his voice fall of panic.
Suntail's gaze flickered to the tom's nest. It was empty. "Meeting's over!" she yowled.
Cactus nodded and clambered up into a tree hollow where his nest was located. Burntstar and Suntail lept into the bushes and sped away. They would return to their den and continue this meeting later. Owlspot snarled. He was in deep trouble. Flicking heis ears in anger he slipped out of the rogue nest adding to Stoneclaw "See you later". Belly against the the ground he ran as fast as his paws could manage. The wind whipped around him and he was glad that he was small and light. Despite the fact he was probably going to end up apprentice duties or worse he was enjoying the thrill of running. He felt he could keep going and never stop.

Stone had already delivered his message. On his way back, he found a squirrel chittering in the bushes. He dove into the bush and killed it quickly. He held the fresh-kill in his mouth as he trotted into the rogue nest; hopefully he'd be able to convince the others that he was out hunting. Stone slunk back into his nest to the realization that the exiled cats were all gone. He breathed a sigh of relief and sat down to begin to eat.

bic: Stone rolled his eyes. "I went hunting in their territory," he mewed. It wasn't really a lie...he had hunted there. "The prey is best about halfway into their territory. Look at this." He held up the fluffy squirrel, a little plump for late leaf-bare.

Stoneclaw purred, impressed. "We should hunt their more often" He commented eyeing the plump-looking squirrel. He stretched luxuriously, and his strong muscles showed through his ratty pelt.

Stone nodded. "Definitely. AquaClan territory is best for prey in late greenleaf and early leaf-fall. Everything is fat and flavorful. I hunt there a lot." This too, was truthful. He often stepped over AquaClan border to catch prey. So far, he had never been caught.

"They don't," he mewed, beginning to get nervous. "I have a, er, reason for not getting attacked." Stone was not eager to reveal the fact that his daughter was the deputy of AquaClan. He "conviently" forgot to talk about attacking Jaystar.

"I'm sure" Stoneclaw hissed "Or were you warning your daughter?" He growled feriously. He had found out about Rockfang long ago, but he had never confronted Stone about it until now. Stoneclaw got in an attacking position.

Stone unsheathed his claws and smiled evilly. "Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't. But will you be able to find out?" He leapt at Stoneclaw, claws outstretched and a snarl fixed on his face.

Stoneclaw slashed his long claws at Stone's sides. He ducked out of the way just in time. Stoneclaw lunged at the more-experienced rogue.

Stone reeled in pain from the blow. He regained his composure and prowled around Stoneclaw. After a moment's hesitation, he lunged at the exiled cat, intent on sinking his short yet sharp teeth into his shoulder.

Stoneclaw let out a howl of agony as Stone's teeth drove deep into his shoulder. Blood welled from his shoulder, making it hard for him to balance. "You piece of fox-dung" He spat angrily. He staggered over, and managed maybe a final blow with his claws to Stone's face.

Stone snarled something indistinguishable at Stoneclaw. The exiled cat's claws tore across his face, exposing tissue below his skin. The attack just missed his left eye. He shoved himself at Stoneclaw, now attempting to pin the other to the ground.

Stoneclaw struggled under Stone's weight. A hit of fear rose in Stoneclaw and showed in his eyes for a split second. "You wouldn't--" Stoneclaw gasped as he continued to try and wriggle free of Stone's grip, but it was no use. "I know you saw your daughter to warn her, you betrayer!" He got his good paw free, and swiped it against Stone's face again.

Stone yowled in pain as his face was slashed once more, but he did not get off Stoneclaw. "How could I betray you if I was never with you? Nobody will ever know..." His growl was low and icy; Stone was ready to kill. He lifted his left paw, and, claws unsheathed, raked his claws down Stoneclaw's neck.

bic| Stoneclaw let out a loud howl of pain that was cut short of gurgling blood spilling out of his neck. His body jerked a few times, "You. . . .will. . . . pay" He wailed. His body gave one last jerk, and his body was still. The exiled rogue of Aquaclan, was dead

"Will not," Stone mewed icily. He grabbed Stoneclaw's corpse by the scruff of the neck and drug the dead rogue about fifty fox-lengths away to a brook near the rogue nests. Stone set Stoneclaw down at the shore and quickly took a dip in the river to wash off the scent and blood. He took the rogue in his jaws once more and dumped the body in the icy, rapid water. He sighed. "Well, that's done." He rinsed his mouth out upstream from the corpse and started to head back.

Drawn by the scent of blood Burntstar returned to the rogue nest. Seeing nobody, he followed the blood trail out of camp to where Stone stood by the stream. "You killed him," he meowed with no emotion but there was no ignoring the sadness that filled his eyes. Stoneclaw had been a good friend to him, maybe not the best, but a friend at the most.

Without another word or thought he ran off in the direction of AquaClan's camp. So what if he was leading Burntstar right to the camp where his beloved daughter and Jaystar resided? He was thinking like a rogue: Yourself first, others later.

bic| Stoneclaw woke up in a dark, unfimiliar place. There was no silverpelt, no moon, nothing but darkness and a never-ending forest. He shrunk back, afraid. Then, a familiar scent drew near him. "Father!" He gasped. A dark rogue appeared ahead of Stoneclaw. "Son? What are you doing here?" A rough voice grumbled. "Dad!" Stoneclaw wanted so badly to be back with his father, but before he could do anything, his father meowed "You cannot follow me son" He meowed harshly "But, why?" Stoneclaw's voice quivered. "This is a place where seldom will meet you face-to-face," His father meowed "You must travel alone, many familiar scents of cats will meet you, but you must move on" He grumbled and then continued to pad on "Stone" Stoneclaw growled "Just wait untill you sleep" he growled "Just wait" He meowed and padded in the opposite direction of his father

Badger sniffed the air boredly as he padded through a leaf littered ground. A strong scent flooded his nose as he continued; the pungent stench of blood and the strong odor of cats. He licked his lips in anticipation. So he had found the 'camp.' He padded inside, eyeing the blood already staining the dirt. He looked around at the old dens, finding everything he saw interesting. He had lived here before, but he had gone off a few days ago on a lead he got from another rogue about a cat named 'Spider'. The lead had been a bust. Ended up being a different cat. He followed the red trail, leading him away from the dens and towards the fresher scents of two cats. He stopped as he neared them, eyeing the tension in Burntstar's body with amusement. Stone's scent was staling. It was obvious he had fled.

Spider skulked thorugh the undergrowth. He lept out of it with a dramatic crackle and landed in front of Badger. "Stoneclaw's dead," he meowed. The black tom paused before beginning to speak again. "I was going to plunge back into the bushes when I relised I don't know who you are....I seriousily need to stop doing that...," he babbled.
