Applesong's tail twitched contentedly and her eyes closed with a blissful air as she sat down on the ground next to Firepaw. "I think you're going to be my apprentice, no?" she questioned. "If so, then I am quite happy to be your mentor. She looked over at her father with loving eyes.
I think my daughter and I are both very lucky that we shall not be torn apart, Desertfoot thought to himself, staring up at the sky. He caught Applesong smiling at him and waved his tail at her in a playful fashion. After that, he crawled into the elders' den and soon fell asleep.

Heronpaw groaned and through himself on the ground beside Lightningpaw, stretching out on his side. He was exhausted and with all this excitement winding down, he just wanted to sleep in the little sun they had. He scratched absently at his neck with a hindpaw, the fleas biting at him again. Heronpaw looked up at his brother to ask him a question and noticed his expression. He blinked blue eyes and realization and prodded Lightningpaw with a paw. "If you want to talk to her, just do it," he meowed," I'm sure she's not too upset with you. She glares at me and 'accidentally' kicks me in her sleep."

Firepaw stared at Applesong. "I think I'm going to be your apprentice. I don't know though." she meowed, turning her gaze to where Applesong was looking. Her father. Firepaw smiled as he entered the elder's den and curled her tail around her forepaws.

A wide smile spread on Applesong's face. She looked over at Heronpaw and Lightningpaw, who seemed to be fighting over something. Her whiskers twitched at the slightest sound, which was the ruffling of tails on the dirt ground. She was happy to be home. There was something about her Clan which made her feel rather contented. Applesong loved her Clanmates more than anything, more than anything else in the world, and most important, more than that irritating Doveheart...

Firepaw approached Heronpaw. "Hello. What are you doing?" she asked. She started batting around his tail like she was a kit again. "I'm so bored." Firepaw leaned in against and whispered, "Is Lightningpaw talking about 'her' again? He should just talk to her!"

Lightningpaw glanced to his brother, realizing he had been caught. "Ah....no, need to finish our duties. I'll talk to her later when she's done talking to Applesong." he didn't understand why he was putting it off, he could just go talk to her. Maybe it was because he could still remember her face when he had acted like such an idiot. He was nervouse to her reaction and whenever he thought about it...it wasn't a good reaction. He then looked to Firepaw when she spoke, sighing and frowning. "Ok, is it that obvious?"

"Why don't you just walk up to her?" Applesong whispered curiously, leaning her head in to hear the two apprentices' conversation. "Or should I just say, 'Maplepaw, Lightningpaw wants to talk to you' or should I do something-" Unfortunately, she had said it a bit too loudly, loud enough that Maplepaw could hear.

Heronpaw flicked his tail playfully as Firepaw battered at it. This was quite out of character for him but the sun shining today and he was basking in his brother's embrassment. "As obvious as the grass is green," he meowed. He frowned and his whole body tensed as Applesong turned to them. "Uh oh, here come's trouble," he murmured under his breath.
Maplepaw followed Applesong's gaze over to where Heronpaw, Lightingpaw and now Firepaw had gathered. The apprentices kept glancing over to her and her ears twitched at her name. She sighed angrily and turned away, licking at her chest fur. Not only was Applesong more interested in talking to them but they were gossiping about her! Probably about how Applesong and I are rogues, she fumed. The main reason she had been avoiding Lightningpaw and making Heronpaw's life miserable was because of the latter's hurtful comments and the formers irrational behaviour at said comments. Plus, even if she wanted to talk to the black and white tom, he didn't want too. He hadn't spoken to her since the fight. Her anger quickly turned to embarassment and disbelief at the ginger warrior's comment. "What?!" she meowed loudly, whirling around to face the group. Heronpaw grinned and shoved his brother with a powerful hindleg. "Go on, tell her your a fool and you apologise for chasing me across the hillside," he whispered.

"Hey, Maplepaw!" Applesong exclaimed happily. "Lightningpaw said that he wanted to tell you something." Applesong sat down on the dirt ground and cheerfully licked at her chest fur for a few moments before looking back up at Heronpaw. "So, anything exciting happened while I was gone?"

Lightningpaw felt his skin heat up beneath his fur, looking down. Apparently, not only was it obvious but now everyone seemed to want to shout the news to Starclan. He frowned as Maplepaw looked away angrily, wondering if he had just made it worse for himself. Then at Applesong's loud comment, he flinched. Oh jeez... "What?! No wait, I-!" he tried to object as Heronpaw pushed him forward, his legs suddenly making him clumsy and stopped right before Maplepaw, bumping noses with her as he sat just a few inches from her. "S-sorry!!" he stammered, even more embarrassed and so ready to kill Heronpaw later.

Found you.
Owlfoot stopped, blinking. He lifted his head, looking about for anyone who would say that. Unconciously, though, he knew no one did, that he had heard it, in teh back of his head.
Fooooound yooooou~
Owlfoot whirled about, his ear twitching. It had felt as if someone had been leaning in, extremely close, and had mewed it into his ear. And that voice....it set off a warning in his head, one he hadn't felt since teh battle between DustClan and BurntClan, so many moons ago. This wasn't right....He shivered before turning, calling for Goldenpaw again, voice high and strained.

Maplepaw yelped and stepped back, her nose wrinkled up in pain. She opened her mouth to complain but felt herself grinning. She snorted and shook her head in amusement. "This is ridiculous, you big furball," she meowed. Lightningpaw's embrassment was so endearing she couldn't help but not be angry at him. He was more uncomfortable than she was with this set up but like him, was plotting to kill Heronpaw.
Heronpaw grinned at his brother before turning his head and looking up at Applesong. "Well, I got in a fight with Lichenpelt and then with Lightningpaw. Then I ended up chasing him out of camp and across the hillside," he informed her. He yawned widely and lazily licked at his chest fur. "And that is why we're not allowed to train and Maplepaw is angry with me."
{Oh no. Poor Owlfoot.}

Firepaw sighed. She walked towards the apprentices' den and sat, tail wrapped around her forepaws, when she reached it. She looked over at Heronpaw. No one knew it yet, but she had developed a love for Heronpaw. She didn't know why. It was just something about him was charming to her.

Lightninpaw sank to his haunches, flinching as he waited for her to get mad at him. When she grinned, he couldn't help but smile too. "So...you agree I'm a big furball and forgive me?" he asked hopefully, getting to his feet with his eyes dancing hopefully. Maybe Heronpaw wasn't so bad...no. He would definately get him back later.

Owlfoot finally stopped calling, huffing only slightly with frustration. She wasn't in camp. Great. Just where had she gone? He turned, padding lazily over to the gorse tunnel. He'd just have to find Honeyfrost himself. He stopped a few fox lengths from the entrance however, blinking his eyes hazily. He could smell cats, so many different cats and mud and he could smell the acrid stench of blood and death and his fur felt matted and stickyand--it was all gone, causing the deputy to shake his head. What in StarClan's name was that? Whatever it was, it had sent his heart racing, the rapid drumming the only thing he could hear.

Maplepaw frowned and kneaded the ground in thought. Stubborn as she was, she felt she shouldn't forgive the younger tom and instead hold the grudge. But she couldn't even think of a reason why she should keep on being angry at him. He hadn't even been fighting with her, just Heronpaw. "Okay," she meowed softly with a small smile. "But do you promise not to fight with you-know-who because of things he said about me? Or was it because of something different? It was all rather..." She trailed and hunched her shoulders, suddenly embarassed at her rambling. "S-sorry."
{Redcloud, how do you want me to bring Honeyfrost back in?}

(Yes.)
Owlfoot sighed, shaking his head lightly. He began to move again, slinking toward the gorse tunnel. He squeezed out of it, taking in a heavy breath. He then turned, padding off in the direction he knew he left his prey, remaining eye wide and happy as he moved, tail straight up.

Lightningpaw nodded quickly. "I promise!" he said with a smile. He would agree to anything as long as she forgave him. 'It may not be over her....but we will probably fight again.' he thought to himself. They were such different personalities, how could they not? They disagreed about the smallest of things. He himself became embarrassed again at the mention of the arguement. "I-it was about you. Sorry." He apologized at the same time as she did, which caused his smile to widen and not feel so awkward. "I'm glad, because I've been stuck only able to talk to Heronpaw and your stories are much better."
(Aw, maybe sensing a little crush for the she-cat? x3)

Firepaw stared at Heronpaw. She was bored. Shaking her head, she turned back towards the apprentices' den. No one ever payed attention to her and she felt as if she was alone with no one to be her friend. With a sigh, she stepped silently into the apprentices' den.

Grayfur walked out of the warriors' den with a sigh. He looked at Firepaw, who had just went into the apprentices' den. She looked sad and lonely. I don't think there's much I can do for her. I hardly know her. he told himself, shaking his head. He walked over to Applesong and yowled in greeting, "Applesong! How have you been?"

[OOC: Grayfur and Applesong have never met before, so it wouldn't make any sense for Grayfur to actually know Applesong.]

Maplepaw felt her skin heat up under her fur and she ducked her head away. Her stories weren't that good. She had just spent too much time in the elder's den listening to them speak. She was even more embarassed that Lightningpaw had been fighting with Heronpaw because of her. "So...everything is fine now?" she asked, the silence between them becoming akward.
Heronpaw would of playfully attacked his brother at his comment had his attention not be drawn elsewhere. During his conversation with Applesong, Firepaw had wandered off. Too be honest, he was a little guilty that she had been bored enough to leave but he had grown use to she-cats acting this way. Goldenpaw never listened to a thing he said, not that he cared particulary about her. "Where did Firepaw go?" he asked Applesong innocently.

Lightningpaw shrugged, nodding. "I think so." He said before he sighed tiredly. "Now we just have to get back to cleaning the Elder's den." Glancing back to his brother, he called to him. "Hey Heronpaw, ready to look for some more fleas?"he called teasingly, knowing just how to tick off his brother. He turned to go towards the elder's den, then glanced back to Maplepaw for one quick second. "By the way, it's fine with me if you keep kicking Heronpaw "accidently" in your sleep." He said with a grin before bounding to his brother.

Firepaw stared through the opening to the apprentices' den. She gave a weak sigh and turned her gaze to Heronpaw. She felt like she had a gaping hole in her heart. She felt alone, though she was surrounded by cats everywhere. Giving another sigh, she stood and stepped silently out of the apprentices' den and over to Heronpaw. "Right here." she meowed quietly and it came out more like a squeak.

Heronpaw glared up at his brother and rose up into a sitting position. He could feel the fleas now, nibbling at his neck. With a grunt he began scratching at himself but Firepaw's squeak startled him and he lost balance. "Ow," he complained as he landed roughly on his shoulder. "Hi Firepaw," he meowed with little enthusiasm as he sat back up. "Have you been listening to my conversations?" It seemed strange that just as he was asking about her that she would decided to come back over.
Maplepaw started and gasped. She rasped her tongue over her chest fur for something to do. She had hoped that wouldn't come up but Heronpaw was the lowest cat she had ever met. In her mind he was no better than crowfood. She looked over at the apprentice where he was awkwardly chatting to Firepaw, completely unaware that Lightningpaw had left to do their duties.

Firepaw stared at Heronpaw. "Not really," she meowed, "I just heard my name and came over." She licked her paw and quickly swiped it over her ear. "So, what are you doing?"she asked, uneasily.

Heronpaw shifted his weight nervously. He was unsure of what to say to her, he practically had denied her existence for the last 6 moons, and he was a little embarrassed that he had accused her of listening to his conversations. "Um...Lightningpaw and I have to clean the dens," he meowed," You could help?"
"No she won't," Maplepaw meowed loudly. The grey tabby tom turned to look at her and pulled a face. "Why not?" he sneered, blue eyes flashing angrily. "Because," she meowed, rising to her paws. "It's your punishment and not hers. So get your tail over there and start changing the bedding." Heronpaw snorted and turned back to Firepaw, shrugging his shoulders. "Just because my brother is in love with her doesn't mean she can boss me around," he complained.

Firepaw growled at Maplepaw, then stared at Heronpaw. "I'll help, of course!" she replied, sneering at Maplepaw. She came and stood beside Heronpaw, looking away from Maplepaw. She shook her head slowly, and stared at the grass.
