Shore gazed at the sky, waiting. Waiting for someone to come along and talk. She was very bored. "Anyone here," she asked, turning towards a bush, "I want to play or talk or something! Can someone save me from my boredom!" She ran to her blanket and sat down, still waiting and gazing at the sky. Feeling hands pull her upwards, she started screeching. She noticed it was her Twolegs, but she didn't want to be picked up. She screeched and yowled and scratched for she wanted to be put down.

Ralf jumped over his fence. "Hi I'm Ralf!" he meowed, excited. "Leave her alone, she's probably sick of you playing with her!" Maddie hissed, jumping over the fence after him. "No, I've never met her," he began, then he turned to the mystery cat, "Are you new here?"

"Yeah, I'm new. My name is Shore, by the way." Shore replied, bowing her head and turning to Maddie, with a glare, "What do you care?" She looked back at Ralf, "So how have you been?"

Maddie so far did not like this cat. "He's my son, and I plan to make him a good cat, or atleast have some manners." Maddie hissed, her amber eyes were focused on the she-cat. "Good, you live right next to me, do you know a lot of cats around here, I've only lived here for about a moon and me acouple friends."he meowed cheerfully.

Shore hissed at Maddie, "Don't yell at him!" She turned and replied to Ralf, "I don't know anyone. I'm new, too." She looked around and gazed at the sky and the stars once more. Hearing her Twolegs open the door, she mumbled, "I think you should leave. They're coming back!"

"What's to worry about? Don't they like you?" he asked tilting his small head. Maddie grabbed Ralf's scuff. "We're leaving!" she hissed. "She said to leave, now lets leave." she growled. Maddie's throat rumbled with loud growls. She didn't like this kittypet one bit, like the friendship of a badger and a dog. Ralf let out a purr. "Maddie it's okay, she's nice." he purred. "Not very," Maddie hissed under her breath.

Shore looked insulted as she could hear Maddie, but only faintly. "I don't want you to come back!" she hissed at Maddie and turned away. Tilting her head in the air, she ran off to her Twolegs. One of the Twoleg kits started to pick her up and she hissed and scratched at them. The Twoleg kit got scared and dropped her and she landed with a loud thud onto the stone hard patio. "Ouch." she muttered, glaring at the Twoleg kit, who was now crying and trying to hit Shore, "Leave me alone, you, you hideous thing!"

Maddie felt bad for Shore as she was being tormented by her housefolks. Great, guilt is hitting me she thought grimily. "Ralf, help me," she meowed as she jumped from the fence and back into Shore's yard. Maddie bolted, with Ralf behind her. Maddie let out a hiss, and jumped over Shore. With a growl she landed in front of the Twoleg kits. After Maddie's snarl Ralf jumped at Shore's side. "This way!" he whispered. He let her to a broken part of his wooden fence that let into his yard. "Through here! Maddie will scare off your housefolks." Ralf reasured.
Maddie leaped at the kits. They screeched and yowled as she clawed at there paws and legs. Then trouble came, the Twoleg parents. Yelling angerly and snatching paws at Maddie's large figure. Maddie leaped, spatting and hissing, trying to defend the poor Shore. She new as a small kitish figure. Large paws in her face and holding at her shoulders. She growled and lodged her large jaw into it's face. The Twoleg let her go, then without a heartbeat to share she bolted into Ralf's fenced area.
"I would have never thought that your Twolegs treated you like that!" Maddie meowed, guilt flooding over her. "Maybe you should hang around here for awhile?" Ralf offered. "I'm allowed to stay out here till it's pitch black out." he meowed.

Shore looked unsure. She turned her head back to her Twoleg family, then turned back to Ralf and Maddie and meowed, "Sure. I don't want to go back to that horrid place. I'll stay with you for a while." Her head bowed, she found a spot in the green grass to rest for a minute. There was blood dripping down her sides from her fall.

Maddie looked at the poor little scrap. She looked as if she were Ralf's age. "My housefolks leave milk and food on the porch." Ralf meowed, "you can have some."
Maddie smiled. "There's some cobwebs around here somewhere, would you like me to get some?" Maddie offered. She wanted to act more than she did back in her fenced off area.

Shore looked at Maddie, surprised at how nice she was being to her right now, "Sure, I'll have some cobwebs. Thanks." She looked at the place that Ralf must have called the 'porch.' Limping over, she sipped at the milk, watching the window to make sure no Twolegs came at her again. I wish I could leave this dreaded place, where all housefolk live, for good, she thought, walking back to Ralf and Maddie, "Thanks!"

Maddie nodded and jumped the fence, and into the forest. Looking for cobwebs she went.
Ralf walked over to the window. "Don't worry, their not home." he informed. "They took a monster about at sunhigh." His throat crocked as he saw Maddie jump back over the fence with cobwebs. He doesn't like looking at injuries, or- or- blood. He remeber the image of his father after the fox accident.

Shore looked up at Maddie and mewled, "Thanks!" Maybe she's not so bad, she thought, her eyes still on Maddie. Then she heard a terrible screaming from her Twoleg family, "Great" she yowled, "I think they're looking for me." She poked her head around the fence. The Twolegs had food. Poking her nose in the air, she started going back into her own yard. Nothing made her come more than the smell of food.

Ralf's eyes widened. "No!" he hissed. He ran up to Shore and skidded to a halt. He bit hard onto her tail, and pushing back. Maddie charged after Ralf. She jumped infront of Shore and started to push her back. "No," she ordered. "They'll hurt you. We have food!" she meowed. "Ralf, go into the barn and catch a mouse, like I showed you!" she ordered.
After Ralf came back he laid the mouse infront of Shore. "Try this, it's a lot better than Twoleg food." he purred. Maddie smiled, hoping she would try the mouse.

Shore was too dazed by the smell of food to notice what Maddie and Ralf were doing. One of the Twoleg kits spotted her and pointed it's finger at Shore. They came running over and Shore got her sense back. "Back off, you rotten kit," she threatened, claws unsheathed, "I've had enough of this life. I need to leave!"
Shore ran to the fence and tried to climb up and over it. It was far too big for her to climb up. She got down off the fence, looked for something to push up against it, spotted a brick and tried to push it towards the wooden fence. It wouldn't budge, "Ralf and Maddie, can you guys help me get this brick over there?" she asked, motioning her tail towards the wooden fence.

Maddie realized what she was doing. She grabbed Shore like a helpless kit. "Hang on!" she purred. She jumped over the fence with great force, hoping not to hurt the small cat. "Ralf!" she meowed. No later than she had called, he was next to her. "We're taking her to a medicine cat in the clans. She's badly injured." she meowed. "Shore, we're visiting the clans." she meowed. Ralf's ears lifted. Maybe he could- "No you'r not joining the clans!" Maddie retorted, loosing Ralf's train of thought.

Shore lifted her ears and screeched when she went over the fence. "What's a medicine cat," she yowled at the top of her lungs, scared to death, "Where are we going?" She looked at Ralf hoping he'd know what was happening right now. Shore mewled, her eyes wide open but she still had blood coming out of her side, "I'm scared! What if I don't make it?"

"Don't worry, we're going to the clans. You could die if not. I know the one black she-cat will help us." Maddie meowed. Letting go of Shore's scuff, she replied. "Ralf, take the lead. Shore, tell me when you hurt badly, you've been injured badly." she ordered, and murmured at the same time. "You might be safe with the clans," she whispered. Poor little scrap.

Shore turned to Maddie, looking confused, "What's a clan?" She looked at Ralf again, hoping he could do something about it. Her gaze still on Ralf, she started padding off after him, "What's the one black she-cat's name?" She looked back at Maddie, looking concerned.

Ralf turned around. "A bunch of cats that live in the wild." he started, "they have a medicine cat for when they get hurt or sick to heal them. You're starting to bleed again." Ralf meowed. Maddie applied the rest of the cobwebs onto her wounds. "It's not a long walk, we should be there by dawn tomorrow." Maddie joked, but seeing it was sunhigh, it would take almost a day. "It's going to be cold, but I think you can take it." Ralf meowed.

Shore stared at Ralf in a dreamy way, "Oh." She looked at Maddie and yowled, "Will it ever stop bleeding? I don't want to loose too much blood or I won't survive," Continuing on, she spotted a tree, "Can we rest a second? My leg is hurting, now."

Maddie nodded, "I'll go and get some supplies from the barn, there's probably some more cobwebs in there. Ralf, stay here," she meowed. Walking off she spotted all the fences along Ralf's, and a lot of them have cats.

Getting to the barn she hopped through a broken window that had been broken by a horse. "Hello Holly," she meowed to her friend. Holly had a white pelt with a pink nose, and then. Green eyes. "The horse is acting up again." Holly purred. "Tipical, when will the Twolegs come in and feed it, or take it out to the field?" Maddie hissed. Holly rolled her eyes. "I'm leaving for about two days, I have to go back to the clans," she started. Holly didn't want to stop her, Maddie had her own life, and she had hers.
Maddie gathered some cobwebs from the empty stalls and caught four mice. One just in case someone went hungry. You never want to steal prey from other clans.

Shore lifted her head and looked at Ralf, while settling under the tree that she saw. She pulled over a couple of fern leaves and set them up in way so she could sleep on them, like a her fluffy bed she had at home. Suddenly she wasn't thinking of getting to the clans anymore. She was thinking about her family that was probably looking for her.

Ralf looked at Shore like a queen who had just lost a kit. "You miss them, don't you," he whispered. "Don't worry, you'll be back here tomorrow, around Dusk. I'll miss mine too." he confessed. He sat next to Shore and smiled, he started to purr.
Maddie was now back with cobwebs and the four mice. We can eat these tonight, when we shelter. Maddie slidd into a thicket of trees and held the four mice with her teeth. Ralf offered Shore is shoulder.

Shore looked at Ralf, "Kind of. Not that much after what they did to me, but I miss them" With that, she stood and leaned against Ralf, making sure she wouldn't fall if she put to much weight on the little kittypet. She purred while doing this for she was very tired. Her eyes opened widely at the mice that Maddie had. She was starving for she hadn't been able to finish her bowl of food before they left.

"Don't worry, if we travel for just a small bit of time, we could be half way there and could be in a nice, warm tree before night fall. She started to walked slower, seeing the two younger cats walking slowly. Ralf smiled. "We can eat as soon as Maddie finds some shelter." he purred. "I'm hungry too," he grumbled.

Shore looked at Maddie and purred, "Ok." In a minute or two, she was about to doze off, if nothing stopped her from doing so. Giving a yawn, she strayed away from Ralf's side and toppled over the large root of a tree, as she fell into a deep sleep on some plants that had been piled up.

Maddie let out a purr as also Ralf let out a purr. "Okay, I'll find a tree to sleep in tonight," she meowed. Maddie walked for nearly a minute, then found a log lying tree. "Perfect," she whispered. She walked back to Ralf and Shore. She picked Shore up like her own kit and carried her to the tree. Ralf nearly kept his eyes open just following his mother. She hopped into the tree. Ralf followed. They climbed acouple feet off the ground so no badger or fox could get ahold of then. She laid Shore onto a large branch that could fit Ralf too. Ralf curled up next to her and dozed off. Maddie soon fell alseep too.

Shore woke suddenly, her ears alert. Some sound, a sound that distracted her, had woken her up. It sounded like, well she couldn't figure it out, but it surely wasn't another cat. Maybe a...a....I don't know, she thought, looking for the body of another animal to come out in front of her. Nothing happened, but the noise came again. She figured it out, "Um. Maddie! Ralf! Wake up!" You could tell by the look on her face that she was nervous.

Maddie woke up, shocked. Ralf flinched as he was woken. He looked at Shore with pale eyes. "What is wrong?" he meowed in panic. "Sh!" Maddie said, she heard the noise too. She drank in the smell, but it didn't hit her. The mist from the forest floor covered the smell.
