Two blue eyes watched the camp, but seemed to be focusing on something else. Hawkstar lay outside his den, basking in the sun as it warmed his fur. It seemed the weather was getting a little warmer than it had been and he was taking advantage of it. Many things were running through the leader's mind. Aquaclan had been forced to leave their territory due to the fire and it had been a while since they had heard anything about them. Faunus must have run into them, maybe he could get word from his old friend...And now Frostclan...you could tell that relations between them and Beachclan were thin and tension was high. What was going on with the clans? Instead of four, right now there was three. And what if it even came down to two? Did none of these cats remember their battle against Burntstar? They needed each other then, what if it happened again? Sighing, Hawkstar looked up to the blue sky, watching a bird fly overhead. 'Starclan....what do you have in mind? Please watch over all of us.'

"You alright there, Hawkstar?"
Applesong approached the somewhat melancholy and confused leader. Her head was cocked to one side as she eyed him anxiously. "Is it because of me? I'm really sorry...really sorry I didn't return earlier." She turned away, her expression dull and sad. And I'm making myself feel bad, too, because I didn't tell the truth about Cinderflame.

Hawkstar seemed to snap out of his thoughts at Applesong's voice. He looked from the sky to her, smiling and shaking his head. "No Applesong, it's not you. Just thinking about leader responsibilities." He said easily, shrugging. "Sorry to bother you, there's nothing to worry about....really." His tone was reassuring but in the back of his mind, he was just reminding himself that this stuff was really happening and not to avoid it.

[OOC: My siggy's weird, isn't it?]
"I've noticed that AquaClan just...disappeared...recently. We haven't gotten any sort of word from them. Do you have any idea where they could have gone to?" Applesong sat down, curling her tail around her paws. She licked her chest fur anxiously. "Maybe they've gone to FrostClan, and we could-"
Her speech stopped cold. And then we'd have to encounter that mousebrained Doveheart. That mangy furball. She shivered at the thought. "And we could...um...never mind." Applesong licked her chest fur again.

Spottedfrost dragged herself out of the medicine den, the one she still hadn't moved out of, even though it had been moons since the badger attack. Her stomach heaved, and her head spun. She had been forced to eat. It nauseated her. Her stomach, full, rolled and she fought to hold back the mouse she had just eaten. She looked around camp, looking for Wolfheart, but couldn't seem to see anyone other than Hawkstar and Applesong. Her legs trembled, and she collapsed on the ground, dismayed that Wolfheart was no where to be seen. She didn't talk much anymore, and he didn't talk much to her anymore either. It hurt. Quite a bit. And she had an apprentice as well, which she shouldn't have - she wasn't ready for one. She wasn't capable of being able to teach one. So what was Hawkstar thinking?

Hawkstar sat up, flexing his muscles as he stretched. "You had not come back yet and Aquaclan's territory suffered greatly from a fire. A few things have grown back now, but it was impossible to live in before. They left looking for a new home." He said, again thinking that had been the wrong decision. He knew Beachclan had been unable to help them anymore but leaving with injured cats and kits...it just didn't seem like a good idea. He glanced to her, feeling as if she wanted to say more but hesitated. What was on her mind? "Ah, but don't worry about Aquaclan, they'll be fine."
Suddenly a lean figure skidded to a halt beside Spottedfrost. "Morning Spottedfrost!" It was Lightningpaw and he looked happy to see his mentor. A warm smile spread across his face and his eyes were sparkling with excitement. "Wolfheart said that my Father finally said I could train and could we start today, please?!" he said, pratically bouncing up and down. "And Wolfheart said he'd help too!"

Spottedfrost forced a smile. "Great," she rasped, struggling to stand. Her legs were weak with fatigue, since her nightmares kept her awake, and she didn't eat or drink much. "I'll go whenever you're ready to go." She didn't know how to be a mentor, and she wasn't in any shape to be a mentor. Hunting nauseated her, and she didn't have the strength to teach battle moves. Walking around the territory would tire her out quickly; she probably wouldn't even make it half way through the territory. Really - what was Hawkstar thinking?

"Yes, hello." Applesong smiled, closing her eyes contentedly. She loved nothing more than being with her Clanmates. And away from that furball Doveheart, she added secretly, tucking her chin into her chest. "I could take Firepaw hunting with both of you," Applesong suggested. "Or whatever you're doing. We could practice battle moves, do a patrol..." Her tail twitched as she silently counted the possibilities in her head.
"Applesong! Lightningpaw! Spottedfrost! And...um, hello, Hawkstar." Desertfoot crawled out of the elders' den and padded toward the four cats. He nodded his head in respect to his leader before then smiling at Lightningpaw. "What are you talking about?" he asked, setting his tail on top of Lightningpaw.
"I might be going out to a training session with Spottedfrost and Lightningpaw," Applesong purred. Spottedfrost looks a little weak. Maybe I could take over the training for her...?

Firepaw heard Applesong say her name and ran out of the apprentices' den. "Hey, everyone!" she meowed. She stopped next to Applesong. "Hello, Applesong." She nodded her respect to Hawkstar and turned back to Applesong. She looked at Applesong in the eyes and shuffled her paws.

"See what I meant? There she is." Applesong nuzzled her apprentice affectionately, with a contented smile. "Firepaw's ready to go. What about you, Lightningpaw?"

Spottedfrost faked a smile. "Umm...Lighteningpaw, if you want to go with Applesong, then we can go." Secretly, she had been hoping to have time alone with Lighteningpaw and Wolfheart. But she liked Applesong, and she liked Firepaw, and she didn't know Desertfoot, but she seemed like a nice cat. So she faked her smile (was it convincing? She hoped so...) because all her smiles were fake these days, and waited for Lighteningpaw to make a decision.

Lightningpaw had been about to say something when all at once it seemd everyone was ready to go too. He seemed a little bewildered at first, glancing from Applesong to his mentor. Then he shrugged with an easy going smile, nodding. "Oh. Alright, that sounds fine to me...right Spottedfrost?" he said, turning his big green eyes to the she-cat. He himself had been thinking it would be nice for some one-on-one training since he was behind, but this would be fine. If Wolfheart didn't mind, maybe they could go by themselves later. He was just glad Spottedfrost seemed okay with it, she hadn't been acting very well lately so he hadn't been sure. "As long as I can train some, it sounds great."

Firepaw jumped into the air and meowed to her mentor, "Let's go, Applesong!" She jumped to her mentor's side and grinned. With a purr, she padded to the entrance of the camp and stopped. "Come on!" she yowled.

Littlepaw suddenly rushed over, his white fur bristling. Glancing back at the apprentice den, he crept closer to his father until he was brushing against him. Back in the den Heronpaw had been harassing him, as usual, and rather get badly beaten by his larger brother he had decided to flee. Littlepaw smiled nervously at the cats and licked at his chest fur. "Is everyone going training?' he asked, glancing around at the cats. Perhaps he would be in luck and his mentor would take him training and away from the menace that was his brother.

Hawkstar had been watching the cats, glad to see Lightningpaw so eager to train. He had felt bad about his sons' punishment, though they had deserved it. As he felt his third son brush against him, he glanced to him curiously. "Littlepaw, what's wrong?" The younger apprentice seemed a little frazzled and that was usually when his brothers picked on him. But Lightningpaw was out here so....Heronpaw. Of course. Sighing at his eldest son's actions, he nodded to Littlepaw's question. "Yes, they are. Lightningpaw, Firepaw, Spottedfrost, and Applesong."

"Alright, I think we've gathered everyone. But wait...who is Littlepaw's mentor? I have seem to forgotten...I wasn't there when he became an apprentice..." Applesong flicked her tail in the direction of the camp entrance\exit. "Should be going now?"
Desertfoot smiled, cocking his head to the left. Then, as he padded back to the elders' den, he meowed, "Be safe, Applesong!"
"I will!"

"Rainwing," Littlepaw meowed in a distant voice. His green eyes were searching the camp as if he was expecting something -or somebody- to jump out at him. Once satisfied he was safe, he looked up at Hawkstar with pleading eyes. "Can I go? I don't want to stay in camp. Maybe if you take Maplepaw we can go patrol the borders?" Littlepaw didn't care what they did, as long as he didn't have to go back to the apprentice den. Heronpaw would be sure to taunt him for running off like a scared kit and he wasn't big enough to challenge the grey tom to a fight and win.

[OOC: It's so funny how I can ask generally OOC questions through Applesong ^_^ Anyway, who role-plays Rainwing? I can't have Applesong say that, or else there would be this jam in the two universes. A paradox XD]
Applesong looked at the somewhat paranoid Littlepaw, then turned back to look at Hawkstar. "I can mentor both my own apprentice and Littlepaw, if Rainwing doesn't arrive soon enough," she suggested. "And maybe Maplepaw, for that matter. Has her brother Tussockpaw gotten his warrior name yet?"

Hawkstar nodded to Littlepaw, agreeing it was best he do soemthing than stay in camp. "Yes, you may go. See if Rainwing will take you, if not, the other warriors can help out. I have some things to do here, so can you get Maplepaw to join you all?" He said with a smile as he got to his feet and shook his fur, stretching. "I'll get Maplepaw!" Lightingpaw's had caught the other apprentices name and had jumped at the chance. Now he shuffled his paws with embarrassment, fur getting hot. "I-I mean...I need to get Woodpaw anyway, f-for Wolfheart. I'll get her." He quickly disappeared into the apprentice's den, trying to calm his nerves. Hawkstar chuckled slightly at his other son's actions, glancing to Applesong. "Yes, he has. He is now known as Tussockwind."

Spottedfrost sighed, and sat down wearily. The 'excitement' of the hunt was already wearing her down. What would she do when she was battle training with Lighteningpaw? She shook her head, lying down, closing her eyes. Behind her lids, flashes of battles and blood played like a dream. She snapped them open, her once-lively, aquamarine eyes dull and tired.
Rainwing padded into camp after having a morning stroll, surprised to see such a large group conversing in the center of camp. She scampered over, her eyes bright, and asked, "What's going on?"

Applesong cocked her head and looked at Spottedfrost. "Honestly, do you want me to take Lightningpaw out with Firepaw? You should see Swiftwind...you're not looking well." The tip of her tail gently touched Spottedfrost on the nose.
Applesong turned around to see Rainwing, and smiled. "Do you think you could help us? Heronpaw wants to go out training..."

"Littlepaw," he corrected Applesong with a harsh edge to his voice. The smallest of the apprentices hurried over to his mentor and gave a wide smile. "We're all going training," he explained to her. "I want to go too because otherwise I have to stay with Heronpaw and Goldenpaw." The cold look in his green eyes showed how enjoyable he'ld find it. "Please?" he added. "Lightningpaw has just gone to get Maplepaw. We're all going!"
"...and then he ran away! Just like Lightningpaw. Did you see it?" "Yes, Heronpaw." Maplepaw lazily drew a ginger paw over each of her ears. She couldn't get a moments piece with Orchidtail's kits fighting amongst themselves and the largest of the litter had now taken it upon him to make her life miserable. At this very moment, he was giving her a perfect recount of his fight with Littlepaw. Make note, she had been present. "He could of at least stood and fought. But then on, I suspose you would run too. There must be a reason why Tussockwind is the fastest cat in the Clan." Maplepaw gritted her teeth and resisted the desire to rip out the younger apprentice's throat. Perhaps she could make it look like a badger attack... Don't worry Orchidtail, I'm sure the badger will spit him out. He can't taste nice, foul little creature he is. Thankfully, Lightningpaw chose this moment to enter then den and she forced her fur to lie flat. "Morning," Maplepaw meowed with a small smile. "Oh look! Have you come to defend Littlepaw or invite Maplepaw out?" Heronpaw laughed. The fake badger attack was looking more and more appealing.

Ravenclaw padded into camp with four mice dangling by their tails in his mouth. He dropped the mice on the fresh-kill pile. When he looked up he noticed a group of cats standing by. He went over to them. "What's going on?" There wasn't really a point to asking. Recently he hasn't had a clue to what was going on but he caught up. Eventually.

By the way Lightningpaw shot a dagger like glare at his brother, it seemed he shared the same thought as Maplepaw. That furball could be so annoying! He seriously knew every possible way to get under his brother's skin, one of the few cats that could actually tolerate his obnoxious behavior. Ignoring him pointedly, he looked to Maplepaw with a knowing smile to show he wanted to really irritate Heronpaw. "Hey Maplepaw come here, will you?" he asked, indicating for her to follow him. If Heronpaw knew he was being left out....oh boy. =]

"I can handle it," Spottedfrost said harshly. "I'm fine," she said, nicer. She shook her head, ridding herself of the badger battle, but she had never wished for Wolfheart or her mother more in her life.
Rainwing nodded. "Great!" She hadn't been out to train with Littlepaw at all. She had touched noses and that was that. Brackenstripe had been proud of her, but he was quite quiet these days, so she didn't get much out of him. She wondered how Smoke was. "So...what type of training are we doing?"

"Oh, Ravenclaw! I haven't seen you in so long!" Applesong exclaimed, nuzzling her old friend. "We're thinking of going out and hunting. If you wanted to come with us, that would be fine with me." She smiled. Ravenclaw has always been one of my personal...favorites.
"I guess we should start?" Applesong mewed cheerfully.

Maplepaw threw a smug smile at Heronpaw as she followed Lightingpaw out of the den. Heronpaw sat blinking in surprise and confusion. Yes, he had managed to get a reaction out of the black and white tom but it hadn't bothered him. The two of them were up to something and he didn't know what. A far corner of his brain told him this must be how Goldenpaw feels like when he never invites her on their adventures but he shook his head. "Can't be that fun anyway," he grumbled.
"I hope you don't mind if I kill Heronpaw," Maplepaw whispered to Lightningpaw once they were away from the antagonistic tom. She glanced at the gathering of the cats at the entrance to the camp and briefly wondered where everyone was going. Has something bad happened? Lightningpaw would of told me.
Littlepaw shrugged his shoulders. "Well, no doubt Lightningpaw will want to stay with Maplepaw. So we could go with Applesong and Firepaw," he suggested to Rainwing. He glanced over to where Ravenclaw was greeting the Applesong and smiled to himself. Wouldn't Heronpaw be furious if he found out his mentor left him behind. Littlepaw had a good feeling about this day.

And speaking on the tom, Wolfheart appeared in the entrance of camp and seeing all the cats, headed towards Spottedfrost. "So has Lightningpaw got you to come hunting with us? He's such a bundle of excitement about it." he said with a laugh as he caught his breath. He pressed his side against hers soothingly, nuzzling her cheek affectionately. "You're okay with coming out with us right? It's just been so long since we've gone out together..." He murmured quietly to her.
Lightningpaw clearly enjoyed his last glance at his brother, seeing his confused expression. He chuckled at what Maplepaw said, shrugging. "Only if you let me help." he said with laughter in his voice, still happy from knowing he got back at his brother. And for this moment, he really didn't care if he was teased for wanting to spend time with Maplepaw. She was his friend and he had fun, listening to her stories and just talking with her. As he caught her glance to everyone, he figured he better explain. "It's my first time out of camp for training since Heronpaw and I got in trouble. So some others are coming and Hawkstar said to get you to join us. Will you, please?" he asked, turning his begging big green eyes on her.
