"I'm really sorry about me leaving, it was just...well, I'll tell you later," Applesong muttered. "But I'm so happy to be back!" She turned around to look at Heronpaw, Lightningpaw, and the rest of the cats. "You decide what you're going to do among yourselves. Firepaw, we might as well get going..."

Maplepaw laughed with Lightningpaw, flicking her tail back and forth. She never understood why Heronpaw teased his siblings so much. She enjoyed being around the black and white tom, and sometimes even Littlepaw. However, many the times had she gone hunting with him and had her head ripped off by his prickly attitude. Maplepaw was surprised by Lightningpaw's expression and blinked soft amber eyes back at him. "Of course I will! Why wouldn't I come with you?" she exclaimed. She playfully nudged his shoulder with her nose before racing over to the group. "Come on then!"

Spottedfrost nodded. "I'll be fine," she hissed lowly, so no one else could hear. Of course, it seemed that everybody was having the same doubts about her. She sighed, looking at her paws. She could do it! She kn- Well, maybe not, but she was going to try so hard to be a good mentor. She didn't care about herself much anymore, but how could she let Lightningpaw down?

Wolfheart nodded, but worry still flickered in his eyes. "Alright, if you say so. I'll be with you the whole time if you need me, okay?" he said, getting to his feet and nudging her towards the entrance of camp. "We better get going, these apprentices are anxious." Then he looked around in confusion. "Anyone seen Woodpaw?"
Lightningpaw's face broke out into a huge happy grin, then he shrugged. "I dunno, maybe you wanted to caht with Heronpaw some more?" he teased with a chuckled before racing after her. Passing her with ease as they raced past the mentors, he called over his shoulder. "Come on slowpoke!"

"Well, no...at least, I haven't," Applesong mewed anxiously, licking her chest fur. "I haven't seen him in quite a while." She turned her head to the side to look at Wolfheart. "Alright, let's get going!"

Maplepaw laughed as Lightningpaw passed her with ease. She did share the same build as her mother or brother, nor did she have Honeyfrost's grace. She was a hunter and a fighter, not a runner. Lightningpaw could probably outrun a rabbit, leaving her far behind. "Oh come on!" she complained in good humour, slowing to a stop. "Let us slow ones catch up. Your leaving everyone behind!"
Littlepaw watched as the older apprentice ran past, Lightningpaw on her heels. He envied how well the two of them got along, wishing that he had a friend outside the family. Or a friend inside he thought, remembering Heronpaw. He looked up at his father and nudged him gently with his nose. "Maplepaw and Lightningpaw will be half-way to BeachClan if you don't go now," he meowed with a shy, small smile.

Firepaw stood next to Applesong and meowed, "Yeah, let's go!" She looked up at her mentor, waiting for her to take off. She shuffled her paws and watched as Lightningpaw and Maplepaw raced past. She watched with longing eyes. If only she had the same kind of relationship with Heronpaw. She sighed, shaking her head.

"Alright. Let's get going then."
Applesong darted towards the exit of the camp, smiling. Those two apprentices are like spears of lightning, she mused. Dashing by at fast speed.
"Follow me," Applesong purred.

Lightningpaw laughed at her comment, glancing over his shoulder again. When he noticed she had slowed down, he eased up a little and turned around quickly, running back to her and skidding to a halt in front of her. "But it feels so good to run, outside of camp!" he said, barely out of breath and with a large grin spread across his face. It was true, he loved the feeling when he was runnign and he had missed it. From his and Heronpaw's sneaky trips out to be watched in camp, he hadn't had any time to do this. Now he could and he was itching to go. "You're like Heronpaw, never wanting to race."

Maplepaw smiled as Lightningpaw came running back. She thought she would have to catch up with him. "Okay! Okay!" she grumbled with a playful tone. She hated holding him back for she knew how eager she had been to get out of camp when her leg had healed. It still bothered her at time though, especially after hard exercise. "I'll race with you and I'll be a better opponent than Heronpaw will ever be," Maplepaw meowed, grinning.

Spottedfrost pulled up the rear, dropping back so she was trailing behind. Her paws felt like lead as they walked through the forest. She missed her old self. She missed being happy and bubbly and not like this. She was just a ghost of her old self. All thanks to that mousebrained badger. She sighed as she followed behind and her stomach surged in it's quest for dominance.
Rainwing bounded to the front, happy and free. Newleaf was nearing greenleaf, and the growing of the leaves and flowers and other things was in full swing. She sniffed the air, and the scent sent a thrill through her entire body. "So where are we going?"

Littlepaw had to move fast to keep up with his energetic mentor. Most of the snow had melted under the morning sun leaving the ground moist. Already he could feel traces of mud clinging to his paws. "Well, we could go hunting in the Maple Grove," he suggested. He turned his head and blinked large green eyes at the other cats who were slowly vanishing into the forest. "Unless you wanted to be in a group," he added.

Firepaw bounded after her mentor, her eyes shining. With a sigh, she caught up with Applesong and meowed, "What are we going to do today?" She stared at her mentor's eyes, never taking them off Applesong.

[OOC: Someone'll have to start up a thread in the marsh ^_^]
"How about...the marsh? You know, near AquaClan."
Applesong, Firepaw, Heronpaw, Lightningpaw, Littlepaw, Spottedfrost, and Rainwing stepped out of the camp exit. "I'm glad we're all together on a good hunt," Applesong purred, rubbing up against Firepaw. "So, should we get going?"

Rainwing shrugged. "Oh, it doesn't matter. If you want to go with the group, then we can go with the group. If you don't, well, then...we won't. How does that sound? It's all up to you." She walked in silence for a moment before adding, "Most mentors don't do that with their apprentices. But I feel that apprentices are the ones that are learning; they should be able to learn the way they want. I'll teach you what you need to and want to know, but on your terms." With that, she closed her mouth and enjoyed the feel of newleaf, and the sun on her fur.

Firepaw purred with happiness. "Yeah! Let's go to the marsh. It seems like forever since I've been there!" she meowed, looking back at Littlepaw. "Let's go!" She shuffled her paws, excitement going through her body. She looked at Applesong.

[OOC: Marsh thread here.] With a confident voice and a somewhat goofy smile, Applesong yowled, "Everyone who wants to go hunting with us is comin' to the marsh!" She turned to look at her smiling apprentice. "It's most definite." With that, Applesong set out towards the marsh.

{ Heronpaw is being left behind xD}
Rainwing's attitude was one of the many reasons Littlepaw liked training with her. Without realising, he had become used to his siblings always telling him what to do. Now, he was free! He could run anywhere he wanted without being told he was 'mousebrained' or 'too small' to come along. He grinned up at her happily, flicking his tail. Ahead, Applesong had announced they were going to the marsh and Firepaw gestured for him to follow. He looked back at his mentor. "Could we go with Applesong to the marsh? Maplepaw told Heronpaw there's eels in there and Faunus caught one! Heronpaw said I could never catch one because I'm so small. Can we go? Please!" Littlepaw meowed with great enthusiasm. There was a fierce gleam in his eyes at the idea of making his brother take back what he had said.

Rainwing nodded. "Of course we can!" She raced ahead to catch up with the rest of the group. She could already tell; today was going to be a good hunting day. And Littlepaw would be an excellent apprentice.
[ooc;] sorry it's so short...
