It was dawn, no cats around while Blackleaf padded into the camp clearing slowly. He had a lot of things to think about. It was hard saying good-bye to Flaxeyes so soon. I hope she's not too mad at me. He had just his mate give birth to three kits. He had nothing but snow of his pelt, barely any black showing. The snow was coming down slowly, but there was a lot of it. He sniffed the air. The sents were not very fresh, he was surprised no cats were guarding the camp. Then he heard movement. The bushes started to make noise. Then a cat jumped out of no where onto his back. The cat pinned him to the ground. "What are you doing here!" She hissed. "Skylight?" Blackleaf meowed.
"Blackleaf! Sorry, I didn't noticed you because of the snow. I couldn't smell you either." Skylight slowly got off her brother. "I was guarding from the tree." The she-cat pointed her nose at a pine tree. "I'm surprised you can jump that high." Blackleaf purred. Probably comes from mother. Most Beachclan cats had really strong legs from swimming.
Then Skylight caught Blackleaf off guard. "How are the kits?" Blackleaf frowned. "Great! Flaxeyes did great too." He purred softly. He was trying to hide his sad face.

Fernpool stepped silently into the clearing after sitting all alone in the meadow. She sighed and looked at the warriors' den. She felt like she should run out of the camp again and just sit alone, staring at the sky. No. She couldn't. The Clan needed her. She looked in the other direction. She ran over quickly when she saw Blackleaf and Skylight. She sighed once again, filling up with sadness when she remembered that they were siblings. "Hello, Blackleaf, Skylight." she meowed, shaking her head.

Blackleaf looked at Fernpool. "Nice to see you again." He purred. He was happy to be back at his real home. The black warrior looked at his paws. "Flaxeyes should be back in about two to three moons." He meowed softly. Though that the medicine cat missed the she-cat, he also wanted to see her smiling kit again. He also wanted to see his kits again too. But he had to keep the secret that he had a mate. It was against the warrior code. And his punishment was soon to come.
Skylight looked at the she-cat a purred. "Good morning Fernpool."

Amberpaw sat just outside the apprentices' den, her body covered by the tall grass of the den. She was watching as the three older cats talked. She gave a small growl when she saw her mentor, but she didn't know why. She looked back in the apprentices' den and waited for Cloudpaw to wake up.

Cloudpaw yawned as he woke up. He got to his white paws slowly and stretched but arching his back, then getting lower to the ground. "Someone here?" He asked. He yawned once more and padded up small hill-like feature to get to the mouth of the den. Cloudpaw sat next to Amberpaw and looked at the black tom with a glare of his amber eyes. "Who's he?" He hissed.

Amberpaw looked at Cloudpaw. "Yeah. Skylight, Fernpool and another cat are over there." she replied. "I don't know. I couldn't here their conversation very well. Shall we find out?" She stood and licked Cloudpaw's ear.

Cloudpaw nodded. "But do you think Skylight will get mad at us?" The brown and white tom shook some burrs off his pelt and starting walking forward. He didn't dare to look at the black tom. Though he did to look at Skylight.
The black tom noticed the two apprentices walking over to Skylight. "And who are these?" Blackleaf meowed with a friendly tone. He smiled at the two. Cloudpaw looked nervous as they approached. "This is Amberpaw and Cloudpaw, they used to be kittypets, but ran away because they were abused." She meowed. Then she she-cat turned to Cloudpaw and Amberpaw. "This is Blackleaf, my brother. He's a medicine cat like Rainlight, he was with another clan to help out."

Amberpaw meowed, "I knew we wouldn't get in trouble. Why would you think Skylight would get mad because we're curious?" She stepped closer to Cloudpaw so their pelts were rubbing against each other. She gave a weak meow. "When are we going to train?" she asked, turning to Skylight.

Skylight looked at the young she-cat. "You'll hav to wait for your mentors to decide. Cloudpaw might need to train with other warriors because of Whitestar being his mentor. Whitestar has not a lot of time on his paws." She meowed. She looked at both of the cats.
"Maybe they can go get some mouse-bile from my den and help Bluepool?" Blackleaf suggested. "Great idea!" Skylight purred.

Amberpaw looked at Blackleaf and rolled her eyes. She'd rather be with the mentor she thought was annoying even though she hardly knew her than have to touch that icky mouse-bile. She looked at Cloudpaw, then at her mentor who hadn't said a word. She leaned on Cloudpaw, annoyed.

Fernpool stared at Amberpaw. "I could take Amberpaw to train right now." she meowed, looking at Skylight. "I'm going to show her the boundaries today." She then leaned in close to Amberpaw and meowed, "Stay away from Cloudpaw for the time being." Fernpool couldn't bare to see more love that she didn't have.

Cloudpaw looked at Ferncloud with irritated eyes. Why is she annoyed with Amberpaw loving me? I love her too and Whitestar doesn't care. He rolled his amber eyes and looked at Blackleaf. "Can you show me where the mouse-bile is." He puffed.
Blackleaf jumped to his paws. "In here." He meowed. The black tom walked into a fallen over tree, with large knots of roots everywhere. He squeezed through a gap. He jumped off a ledge and through some leaves. Once Cloudpaw made it into the actual den, it was really warm and relaxing. "Rainlight?" It was Blackleaf. "Rainlight? I'm back, it's me!" The tom meowed. Blackleaf looked at his paws. "She's never here when I am." He whispered.
Cloudpaw poked his head out of the medicine cat's den with a pile of mouse in his teeth. He padded into the clearing. Skylight was still sitting in the clearing with Fernpool and Amberpaw. He walked into the clearing slowly. "Now how do I do this." He meowed, setting down the moss. "I'll help." Skylight meowed.

Amberpaw stared at Fernpool, disbelievingly. "Why should I stay away from him? I can't stay away from my best friend forever!" she yowled in Fernpool's face. She decided not saying she loved him because she remembered apprentices couldn't mate.

Fernpool stared at Amberpaw. She was steaming mad. "How dare you talk to on of the elder cats like that!" she spat back. She unsheathed her claws and raised her hackles. She prepared to pounce on Amberpaw. At the right moment, she pounced on Amberpaw, pinning her to the ground.
((This is how her anger issues end up....that's her flaw that goes against everything else about her...lol))

Amberpaw felt Fernpool's grip on her neck. She was pinned to the ground and she could hardly breathe. "Skylight! Blackleaf! Cloudpaw!" she yowled, feeling Fernpool's grip tighten. She gave a low growl and tried to scratch Fernpool's underbelly.

Skylight lodged toward Fernpool with a full force. She knocked Fernpool off of the young apprentice. They rolled in the durt till Skylight was able to pin the warrior on the ground. She shoved her one paw into her cheek. "Don't treat an apprentice like that, and you're not elderly. If you are, go join Bluepool." She spat in the warrior's face. The warrior got angry when cat quarreled over dumb things, like who can they be friends with.
Skylight jumped off Fernpool and flicked her tail at her. Then padding over to Amberpaw. "It's okay, Fernpool can have her moments." She hissed. "Are you okay?" She said more full of kindness.
Cloudpaw was frozen from what he just saw. First, Amberpaw being shoved to the floor, then Skylight acting like a fox and nailing Fernpool. His mouth was wide open, amazed of what he just saw. This is just between clanmates. Just think how it can get between clans! "Amberpaw! Are you okay!" He was rushing the Amberpaw. He wanted to let out a loud purr and lick her cheek, but he couldn't. Apprentices aren't allowed to mate......

Amberpaw didn't move out of the dirt. Gasping, she tried to stand, but it didn't work. She was too tired. She looked at her leg, which was bleeding again. "I-I-I'm fine." she meowed, looking at Cloudpaw.

Fernpool gave a hiss right in Skylight's face. She yowled and sneered the word 'weak', while casting a glance at Amberpaw, "I don't want such a weak apprentice." She flicked her tail, annoyed, at Skylight and took off, out of the camp.

Bluepool blinked sleepily as she stumped out of her den. "Hey!" she yowled. "Cut out that racket! Some of us are trying to sleep--what's going on here?" She barely glimpsed Fernpool running off. The elder frowned. If they don't say anything I'll get Whitestar. This is not the time for FrostClan to be suffering from all these internal struggles.

Skylight let out a harsh snarl once Fernpool ran off. "You're the weak one, running out of camp like a coward!" Skylight looked at Amberpaw. "Blackleaf!" She yowled, not letting her eyes leave Amberpaw. Blackleaf came out of his den right away. He sniffed the air, then disappeared. One moment later he had a bundle of herbs in his mouth. The black tom raced over to the apprentice. He did his work peacefully and quiet. "It's infected." He meowed. It was all full of dirt and pus was coming out. He pushed some cobwebs into the wound, then spit some marigold ontop of it.
Blackleaf stepped back from his work. "Bluepool, can you fetch Whitestar, and I can get your herbs if you want." He meowed.
Cloudpaw was amazed of the work of what Blackleaf had done. He stepped closer to Amberpaw. "Don't worry, we can get back to our den soon." He whispered softly.

Amberpaw winced as Blackleaf worked on her infected wound. She closed her eyes once he finished. She was too exhausted and she could hardly stand. "Cloudpaw?" she whispered in a hoarse voice and opened her eyes.

Rainlight followed Blackleaf out of the den, baffled at what was going on. Of course, the new apprentices were in the middle of the trouble with Amberpaw sitting on the ground with an apparent wound. Skylight was ruffled and yowling after someone, that someone most likely being Fernpool for her scent was still hanging in the air. Rainlight wasn't sure what had happened but she wasn't surprised that Amberpaw was injured. Kittypets couldn't become warriors and this one was acting like it was the end of the world. "Okay everyone!" she called, taking control. "Skylight, you obviously know what happened so you go tell Whitestar rather than our elder." She turned her broad head to the apprentices and Blackleaf and frowned. "Cloudpaw, you should leave, it's a bit crowded. And Amberpaw, you're not dying. You'll have plenty of more bumps and scrapes to whine about. I see Blackleaf is applying a poultice. That should stop it opening again." But although she had given everyone their instructions, she still couldn't help but feel uneasy. Had Ferncloud attacked Amberpaw on purpose?

Skylight flinched as she saw Rainlight. "It's not Amberpaw's fault. It's that flea-bag Fernpool." She snarled. Then the black and white she-cat stalked away to Whitestar's den. "Whitestar!" She hissed. Skylight was really angry at the moment. "Fernpool attacked Amberpaw, then I pushed her to the ground then ran off." She growled. She looked at the white tom. "How could she act like this?" She was a little more calm now. Skylight's fur was ruffled and she had dirt in her fur. "Oh, and Blackleaf's back." She meowed softly.
Blackleaf blinked at Rainlight. "I didn't know you were here!" he meowed cheerfully. He looked at her with a more concerned face. "Is the wound infected? It looks like it. I put some marigold in it. Is that okay?" He was so afraid of screwing up.

Rainlight glared at Skylight as the she-cat left to go to Whitestar's den. "Fernpool is not a flea-bag!" she called after her. Her voice was harsh like a mother rebuking a kit. "She's a troubled member of this Clan and deserves respect!" She sighed and turned back to Blackleaf and gave him a cheerful smile. "Why wouldn't I?" she asked. At his next question she gave a slight nod and gave him a reassuring lick on his shoulder. "You did fine. I did tell her to be careful but I had to watch Foxflame as well..."

"Really?" Whitestar called back, almost disbelieving. The leader padded out of the den and sat down between the she-cats. Ugh, drama. Are they all always like that? He took a deep breath to calm himself before asking, "What led up to this? I don't think that they'd just randomly break into a fight." Anxiously, he glanced at Rainlight, hoping that his medicine cat would back him up.

Skylight followed Whitestar out of the frost covered den. "Amberpaw was sitting beside Cloudpaw and I was just sitting there." Skylight reported. Skylight's whiskers twiched with irritation. Her black and white fur was ruffled.

Rainlight looked up at Whitestar and shrugged. "I didn't see much of it but I heard Fernpool and Amberpaw here, yowling at each other," she explained. "I'm sure Amberpaw can explain better." She turned back to the apprentice, her grey-blue eyes boring into hers. If it wasn't obvious before, it certaintly was now. The FrostClan held a low amount of respect for the ex-kittypet, especially since she was picking fights with the warrior who was meant to be her mentor.
