"Pesky is right!" Raven's Thorn laughed. "She's attacked me many times with her stealth."

Thistle Wing giggled nervously. "Well...I have to admit...I have..."

She laughed some more, and laid down on the ground. After that, Thistle Wing was stretching her back and then arching it. There was nothing better than being with her friends.

Dawn Light grinned at Thistle Wing's happiness. "You're always so cheerful, silly Thistle Wing. What is the source of all this energy?" she meowed at Thistle Wing, grinning again. She then turned to Raven's Thorn. "Are we going to do training today?" She gave a weak smile and stared at her mentor.

[OOC: BTW to the admins, I was wondering if we could have some more Guild boards, where they could hunt and such.]

"I suppose so," Raven's Thorn yawned, tapping her tail on Dawn Light's back, making sure her learner was there. "Even after all these moons, I'm still not that good with the territory and finding my way around."

Thistle Wing laughed. "I have no clue where all my energy comes from!" she laughed.

Dawn Light yowled, "Okay! But can we do it later? I like to play with Thistle Wing when she's energetic, or she's no fun." She paused. "Can I play with her now and train later?" She looked at her mentor with pleading eyes.

Long Cloud smiled down at the learners, enjoying their energetic play-fighting. It seemed ashame to ruin it with his nonsensical ranting but he just had to tell the Guild. The signs showed that something was coming. Something that had been hunted.
"Everybody!" he called with as much volume as you would normally use for general chatter. "Everybody," he repeated," I have something to tell you. The clouds, the fish...it all points to one thing. Something is coming to the Guild!"

[Redcloud]

Rain Storm twitched, jerking up. He blinked, shaking his head. Oh. He'd been dozing! He mentally chided himself, yawning widely. The healer shouldn't doze. Someone could come into camp hurt and he wouldn't react fast enough. He needed to stay alert. He turned his head, eyeing Long Cloud with foggy eyes. He tilted his head, ear twitching. Something was coming? Oh, he prayed it wasn't more dogs! That had been a nightmare!

Dawn Light shook her head and looked at Long Cloud. "What is it?" she yowled, taking a deep breath. "Are we in danger?" She looked at Raven's Thorn, then at Long Cloud again. She kept her gaze on the guide, unblinking.

"Danger? Not good..." Raven's Thorn shook her head, narrowing her eyes in pain. Her eyes were stinging, aching. That's not a good sign, either. I wonder what Long Cloud has to say now.

Thistle Wing looked up, her tail lowered beneath her belly. "Clouds, fish...hmm, maybe something to do with fish coming out of the sky?" She smiled cheesily, then looked down at the ground.

Dawn Light hit Thistle Wing with her tail. "Don't be stupid, furball! Why would fish come out of the sky?" she yowled playfully. She noticed Raven's Thorn looking hurt. She slowly walked over and asked, "Are you okay, Raven's Thorn?"

"I didn't really mean it. But what would you do if fish came flying out of the sky? Would you attempt to eat them?" She sighed, lying down on the ground, looking up at the sky above her.

Raven's Thorn turned her head away from Dawn Light, her ears sharply pointed. "No, I'm fine." Her eyes stung again, and she cringed in pain. My eyes...

Long Cloud didn't have the heart to scold the learners for their interruption so he continued on otherwise with a gentle clearing of his throat. "I believe that something is coming to the Guild. Something that has been hunted down and chased across the land," he explained. He twitched his white and ginger tail and leaped down from the tree and onto the pine needle covered ground. The Guide paced uneasily as he was unsure whether anyone understood his ramblings. "But I don't think we're in danger," he added looking to each of the cats," I believe they're being led here by a former member. A Guide."

Dawn Light turned away from Raven's Thorn, thinking, She doesn't look alright. She shook her head and stared at her leader. "Why would a former member lead something here?" she yowled, jumping to her feet.

"Wouldn't they be already dead if they were former? Or, wait...maybe they were exiled? I can't think of any members that have been exiled in the past..." Her tail twitched anxiously, and her uneasy gaze drifted to the sky. Something's coming to the Guild, and I just know it...

Raven's Thorn walked over to Dawn Light, nuzzling her affectionately. "It's just my eyes. They sting sometimes, and...and my memories flow back to me." She turned her head to Long Cloud. "What do you think we should do, Long Cloud?"

Dawn Light rubbed against Raven's Thorn. Sometimes Raven's Thorn felt like Dawn Light's mother. Dawn Light enjoyed that. She stopped and looked at Long Cloud again. She leaned into Raven's Thorn's ear and whispered, "I wonder what it is?" But whatever it was, it was scaring Dawn Light. The fur on her back was raised and her claws unsheathed and sheathed over and over again.

"Maybe I should lead a group out to investigate the edges of our territory, and see if we could find some clues there," Raven's Thorn advised. "Dawn Light and Thistle Wing, think you could go with me? Fire Song and Long Cloud, you could come too, if you wanted..." Her voice faded away as she rubbed her head on top of Dawn Light's. I feel as if she's my daughter sometimes.

Thistle Wing bounded up to Fire Song. "Do you think I could go with her? Please, Fire Song? And you could come too, you know!" She bounced up and down in excitement. Oh boy! We'll be searching the border! Maybe we'll run into new and interesting cats! She kept on jumping.

Even though she couldn't see Thistle Wing, Raven's Thorn could tell the young learner was bouncing and breathing heavily. "Keep your calm, Thistle Wing," she laughed.

Dawn Light chuckled at Thistle Wing. "You look like a rabbit, Thistle Wing! I'd love to go with you, Raven's Thorn." she meowed, sighing. She was glad her mentor felt like family since she had none left. She gave another sigh and then started licking Raven's Thorn's ear.

Long Cloud stared blankly at the two learners wondering exactly what their parents and mentors taught them. "Of course Whistling Wind is dead," he meowed feeling some what embarassed,"but the land still feels his presence. He can still send signs and things." He looked frantically to Rain Storm, hoping the healer could back him up a little. However, he knew he was meant to be the Guide and the Guide was always sure of what he was doing. Well, Bracken's Thorn was at least. With a deep breath he straightened himself up and looked to each of the cats with a strong gaze. "We shall continue on as normal! I don't believe what is coming is a threat but we should keep a look out while hunting," Long Cloud announced. "But in the meantime," he added in a smaller, less sure voice," I would like to see the Advisors."

Dawn Light looked at Long Cloud. Was he embarassed? She stayed silent so she would embarass him farther. She sat next to Raven's Thorn and wrapped her tail around her paws. She gave her mentor a nudge in Long Cloud's direction when she heard that Long Cloud wanted to meet with the Advisors.

"All right," Fire Song meowed lazily, getting up with a yawn. She had been semi-conscious at best for the duration of the conversation and was still rather unaware of the events to take place. "Where are we going? Why?" She stretched her forelegs out in front of herself and gave one of her paws a quick lick.

[OOC: Yup, currently an adviser. I checked...in the application, you said you were uncertain, but we should probably go with adviser for now. It appears to be adviser instead of advisor, BTW.]

"Of course." Raven's Thorn trotted over to Long Cloud, opening her mouth and inhaling the clear air. "It feels very windy out here, doesn't it?" she asked cheerfully, turning her head up to feel the sun's rays on her face.

Thistle Wing nodded, as she smiled at Dawn Light. "I think so," she mewed. "But it smells like it would during the night, which it obviously isn't." She shook her head.

This scent is very unfamiliar... [OOC: Thistle Wing might be smelling the scent of the Clan cats, which StarClan could have made as an illusion and sent it down to her. Smell being sent down from StarClan is a bit impossible, though XD]

Dawn Light nodded. "It feels windy." she mewled quietly. She watched Raven's Thorn trot off and sighed. She looked at Thistle Wing and smiled. "Want to play now, while Raven's Thorn is talking to Long Cloud?" she asked, dropping into a crouch.

All the while during this conversation, one of the advisors had been less than talkative. Which was strange, for this particular cat. Howling Wind was laying down in the sun, eyes closed as his flank rose up and down lightly with each slow breath. He had been listening, he really had been. But staying up late to tell stories to the learners had worn this old cat out. Not that he would normally act his age, but all this talk of clouds and fish....just sounded so peaceful. At once, his stomach growled and he lifted his head, yawning. That had been a good nap. He looked to Long Cloud, stretching and getting to his paws. He better go, seemed this talk had been more than just about clouds and fish. He shook his fur, the wind ruffling his fur as he padded over towards Long Cloud with a warm smile. Why not pretend he had heard the whole conversation? He find out what he missed soon anyway.

"Howling Wind!"

Raven's Thorn turned her head in surprise before then bounding over to the advisor, nuzzling him. "We were talking about clouds...and fish. But I have no clue why."

Thistle Wing turned to Dawn Light. "Sure! Aback, you rogue!" She enthusiastically pounced on top of Dawn Light.

[Mikki]

Dawn Light pretended to yowl with anger. "You fight like a kit!" she meowed, backing away from Thistle Wing. She ran up behind Thistle Wing and pounced on Thistle Wing's back. "Ha! You'll need better skills to fight me, you furball!" She grinned and hit Thistle Wing's ear with her paw.

"You'll never conquer me!" Thistle Wing yowled, running her sheathed claws against Dawn Light's back. She left no mark, and if she did, she would have immediately called for Rain Storm. "Try to attack me now!" Thistle Wing jumped up and down.

Raven's Thorn smiled as she heard Dawn Light and Thistle Wing play-fighting. I can't wait to hear what Long Cloud will say to us. I hope it's nothing bad.

Dawn Light pretended to flinch in pain as Thistle Wing drove her claws down Dawn Light's back. She turned and bit softly on Thistle Wing's tail. "You'll never defeat me! I can easily crush you because your fighting is as good as a newborn kit's!"

To be honest, Long Cloud felt a little defeated. It seemed no one had actually listened to what he had said and had been either play fighting or lying in the sunlight. But the Guide did have to agree with them. It was a really nice day. The cloud cover had finally given way to a bright blue sky and the sun's rays were touching their pelts. He looked up from his paws at Howling Wind, thankful for the old tom's smile. "I was just rambling wasn't I?" he meowed glumly. "I don't anybody understood what I was trying to say. Even poor Rain Storm was looking confused."

Howling Wind's ear's pricked at the sound of his name and he smiled to Raven's Thorn, flicking her shoulder with his tail. He was about to respond to her until he glanced to Long Cloud, sensing his unhappiness. He nuzzled Raven's Thorn, then padded up closer to the Guide. "You weren't rambling, the most part I heard. And truth be told, if I hadn't stayed up late telling stories to the learner's, I wouldn't have dozed off. If you don't mind being patient with an old cat, I wouldn't mind to hear it again." He said encouragingly to the younger cat, his smile warm and sincere.

Raven's Thorn cocked her head to the side. "Yes, please do say what you wanted to say, Long Cloud. I'm sorry...our learners here aren't paying that much attention. You weren't rambling." She sighed and flicked her tail towards Dawn Light and Thistle Wing.

"I will never let you defeat me!" Thistle Wing squeaked, pouncing on top of Dawn Light. She yowled in obviously fake pain as Dawn Light bit her tail. "You'll pay for this!"

"Are our two learners...alright...?" Raven's Thorn purred.
