Darkstorm wheezed, his heart hurt, he was so tired. He knew the symptoms. It was quite easy to understand. His life was ending. He fought back the tremor of fright, fighting to keep his eyes open. There was no way that he was going to die alone. He needed someone there, to keep him company, even as a weariness battled its way into his system. "Hello?" he called out, his voice raspy, weak. "Someone!"

The sounds of paws thudded against the ground as Darkstorm's calls were answer. Two clear blue eyes shined, concern and worry in them. "Darkstorm, it's Wolfheart." he said quietly, pressing his body to his to let him know he was there. He looked over the older tom, seeing the affects. It didn't look good. He glanced over his shoulder as another voice sounded.
"I'm here as well, Darkstorm." The voice that spoke now was the voice of leader of Rainclan. Hawkstar padded over beside Wolfheart, concern registering on his face as well. "You're not alone friend."

Darkstorm sighed in relief. "It's time," he muttered to himself, repeating it over and over again. Hawkstar and Wolfheart were there. He was not alone. He would never be alone. He realized that then, that even though he had lost everything, everyone he could ever care about - well, he supposed Rabbitfang and Lavendareyes had not been lost - were gone, there was always someone there to help him through, to keep him moving. And soon, for his eyes were becoming heavier, and his heartbeat slower and more painful, he would see Smokefeather, and his family. He'd finally have some peace.

Wolfheart and Hawkstar exchanged a glance. It wasn't the first time they had seen one of their friends and clanmates leave for Starclan, but it was never easy. Hawkstar pressed his nose to Daekstorm's flank comfortingly. "It's ok my friend. Starclan will recieve you well." Wolfheart nodded, his voice soft. "We'll miss you, Darkstorm." he murmured quietly, dipping his head. "Go get Swifwind, Wolfheart. He must not suffer." Hawkstar ordered to his clanmate who nodded and disappeared to go get the medicine cat.

Darkstorm smiled weakly. "It's alright," he whispered, his heart still painfully beating. Each thump in his chest was like a blow from a badger. He just wanted it to end. "I'm on my way to StarClan - the suffering will be worth it." But he couldn't complain - the pain was dreadful.
