Doveheart glanced behind her for what felt like the thousandth time. Her paws felt like lead as she hurried to the lake, the cold air biting her at her nose. She sneezed, slowing her down for a second, but she just picked up speed afterwards. It wasn't right, but it felt right, what she was doing. There was something about him that just made her...she didn't even know. The lake was in view by now, but she couldn't see the shape of the black cat she was coming to meet. She reached the lake, curling into herself to hold in the warmth. The nipping breeze coming off the lake made her shiver, and the black and white cat wished that she could've found a better place to meet him. But there was no other place. This was the border. The border to RainClan, where the black cat she was waiting for lived.

Ravenclaw hurried out of camp, hoping that nobody noticed how anxious he was to do so. He padded slowly but quickly through the forest. When the camp was out of sight, he made sure nobody was nearby and then made a dash for it. As he got closer to the border he slowed down. He could see the beautiful she-cat waiting for him, curled up because of the cold. Is there truly no other place to meet? "Are you alright?" he meowed when he reached her, finally feeling the breeze of the lake. We really do need somewhere else to meet... "This isn't much of a great meeting place, is it?" He crouched beside her, their pelts touching.

Doveheart shook her head into her fur. "But I can't think of anywhere else. If you can, do tell," she said quietly, and she picked her head up so she could see him. "How are you?" She smiled, her eyes sparkling in the winter air. "How's RainClan and everything?"

"I can't think of anywhere better either." Ravenclaw meowed. "I'm doing great, just as well as with RainClan. I just got a new apprentice, one of Hawkstar's kits." Even though it happened just awhile ago, he still couldn't believe it himself. One of the leader's kits... He sighed. "Enough about me, how about you and FrostClan?" His eyes now full with curiosity. He wouldn't let anything to happen to his love, even if it was breaking the Warrior Code.

Doveheart smiled shyly. "A new apprentice? That's good. What's he like?" She realized he had just had an apprentice, and that apprentice had been given his warrior name. He must be a great warrior. "There's nothing really new about me. Same old, same old. I might be getting an apprentice soon. Whitestar's been talking about it." She curled closer to herself wishing the wind would stop biting at them.

"Oh, he's great. I can see that he was glad that I was appointed his mentor. I know he'll make a great warrior, like his father." Ravenclaw meowed. Suddenly, he felt a cold breeze, making him shiver. He sighed. "We really need a new meeting place." He started to concentrate, trying to find out if there was another place to meet. It took a few moments for an idea to show up but then, "How about the Secret Garden?"

Doveheart nodded. "The Secret Garden - cool," she said. It would be warmer there; there were trees to block out the cold. Her teeth chattered softly. She had run out of things to say. The wind blew harshly, making her shiver. "This place is horrible - I hate the Lake." Sighing, she looked at Ravenclaw, a thoughtful expression on her face. "How is this going to work out?"

"I don't entirely know," Ravenclaw sighed. He shivered, another breeze coming off the lake. There wasn't anything to say anymore, nothing much was happening at the time. Again, the cold breeze blew through the cold air. "Its getting colder," he meowed, starting to feel his joints stiffening.

Doveheart sighed, a small feeling of heartbreak cracking her frozen heart. Everything was frozen, really. "I guess we should cut this thing short, then. When should at meet you at the Secret Garden?" she asked, fluffing her fur until she was twice her size. That should keep out the biting cold for a while.
