Skypaw walked into camp with prey in her mouth, along with Goldenleaf on her shoulder.
Blackpaw followed her and walked to his den and pointed his nose to his den. Skypaw put her prey down in the fresh kill pile and took Goldenleaf's prey that was in her mouth and set it down for her. "I don't want you to work too much," she meowed.
Blackpaw walked Flamestep to his den. "Watch your pawsteps." he ordered. He walked down the little hill and into the old fox den. He walked her over to a bed of moss that was laid out for injured cats. "Lye down," he meowed. "I'll give you some more poppy seeds before you fall asleep tonight." he meowed.
Skypaw followed Blackpaw and put Goldenleaf into a moss bed. "Blackpaw will take it from here," she meowed. "I'm going to report about the badgers to Whitestar." she told Blackpaw. "Okay, I'll be right here," he meowed, sniffing Flamestep.
Skypaw walked into Whitestar's den. "Whitestar, I have to report the hunting patrol. Bad news. But also good news." she meowed. "And we have two hurt warriors," the black and white apprentice reported sadly.

Flamestep layed down. Finally. We are back in camp.
Goldenleaf lyed down. She didn't hurt as much as Flamestep. She was bleeding a little bit but nothing serious. Though, she did ache a little bit. She tucked her front paws under her chest. She was relaxed and happy to be back in camp. She waited until Blackpaw was done treating Flamestep. She didn't care how long she had to wait, as long as Flamestep will be okay. We don't need to lose any cats. Especially with there being only eleven cats in the clan. We are the smallest clan. We need more cats.

Doveheart padded through the camp to the warriors' den. She poked her head in, seeing Blackpaw treating Goldenleaf and Flamestep. Her heart went out to them, then stuck her whole body in there.
"Do you need anything, Goldenleaf? Flamestep?"

Whitestar leapt out of his nest in the warriors' den and took a few steps outside, wildly glancing around. "What happened, Skypaw? How did Goldenleaf and Flamestep get hurt? And how are they hurt? Please tell me it's nothing serious." Whitestar was looking at Skypaw anxiously; obviously he was expressing genuine concern for his clanmates. It wasn't because of FrostClan's small size either.

"All I need is to be treated." Flamestep meowed.
"I don't need anything, but I wouldn't mind some company until Blackpaw is done with Flamestep. It might be awhile." Goldenleaf meowed. She felt like talking to someone. Flamestep didn't want to talk. She just wanted to rest. It made sense. Especially after being flung into a tree by a badger, then thudding to the ground.

"It's just bleeding a little bit. It's definatly not as bad as Flamestep." Goldenleaf meowed. "So, how was your day?" She didn't really want to talk about the badger attack. Though, she didn't mind. Its just that she'll have to keep on explaining it. She didn't just ask the question to avoid the subject, she really did want to know. Doveheart is a good friend of mine, I want to hear about her day.

Blackpaw pressed a cobweb into Flamestep's flank. "
"Well, there was a.. a..." she pasued, still seeing the badger in her head. "There was a badger attack, it looked like it went into Rainclan territory," she meowed.
She nodded and put her head up high.

Rainlight cleared her throat. She had just padded into camp, Flaxeyes at her side. The tabby tortoiseshell placed a bundle of herbs at her paws. Flaxeyes caught the scent of badger and rushed over to Skypaw and Blackpaw's side. "What happened!?"
Rainlight sighed and called to Doveheart to help her with the herbs. "I'm the medicine cat here. I know Blackpaw is fully capable but if there's been an attack shouldn't someone have called for me?"

Doveheart padded over to Rainlight to help her. "Yes, Rainlight. You should've been told." She glanced over at Goldenleaf. "I haven't done much today. I went on the dawn patrol, but nothing was out of the ordinary. It's strange we didn't scent the badger..."

Goldenleaf nodded. "That is strange." She meowed. Why didn't they sent badger then? It wasn't that much past dawn.
"Do you guys really want to hear the story?" Flamestep meowed. She didn't mind telling them. She didn't have anything better to do anyways.

Whitestar gasped. "Okay. Flamestep can tell us what happened and I'll figure it out from there." He frowned. Should I send a patrol to warn Hawkstar? Or stay with the Clan in case it comes back? Flamestep and Goldenleaf were hurt and probably wouldn't be able to defend camp very well. Skypaw seemed a bit shaken up but was fine otherwise. Doveheart, Flaxeyes, Firetail, and himself had not been on the patrol and were more or less the clan's only defenses. Rainlight and Blackpaw would be able to fight too, but they would be a bit busy tending the injured....hmmm...
We need more cats.

"I'm still debating on whether or not to do that. If I sent a patrol then camp would largely be ungarded if it came back, wheras if I didn't then it would be more or less my fault if RainClan got attacked by it too." Whitestar frowned. "Perhaps just a patrol of two cats instead of three. That would make us less likely to seem like an attacking party."

Whitestar glanced to his clanmates to affirm that they had heard his order. He sat down and gave his paw a quick lick before wrapping his tail around his front paws.

"What happened was, Goldenleaf and I were hunting. We smelled stale badger scent, but we just kept on hunting. After a few catches, Skypaw came along. Not long after that, the scent got stronger. Next thing we know, there was a badger right in front of Skypaw and me. It had aimed for Skypaw, but I quickly pushed her out of the way, instead of her getting hit, I did. When it was looking at Goldenleaf, who was standing near the pile of prey, I had leaped onto its back and dug my claws in it. The badger tried to shake me off. It finally did after a few moments. That's when I got flung into a tree. I don't know what happened after that." Flamestep meowed in one breath. She looked at Goldenleaf. She nodded as a sign to take it from there.
Goldenleaf nodded back. "Well, after Flamestep had gotten flung into a tree, I ran up to the badger and leaped for the eyes. Before I reached the eyes the badger had swung a paw at me. I thudded onto the ground, and then quickly got up. That's when I sent Skypaw to get another cat. After a few moments, Skypaw returned with Blackpaw. Blackpaw had ran over to the badger and had pounced at it. He dug his claws into the throat of the badger, slashing it open. He then jumped off, onto the badger's face. He had clawed the eyes. The badger's eyes were bleeding. When Blackpaw jumped off, the badger had ran away." She meowed and took a breath.

Whitestar winced. "Ouch. You're both as okay as you can be after all that happening, I'd say by the looks of you. Rainlight and Blackpaw'll take good care of you. If you got the badger's eyes and throat it will be less of a threat--maybe we won't have to warn RainClan after all." He flicked the tip of his tail indecisively.

"Thanks Doveheart. I can take over from here," Rainlight meowed.
"Blackpaw, have you made an poultice for their wounds?" she asked her apprentice.
Flaxeyes looked at the ground, donwcast. She was secretly hoping she could go with Doveheart instead of Whitestar. "Um, Whitestar? Can I go with Doveheart instead? It's just that...I was kind've hoping to see Honeyfrost and...well...at the battle she hurt her leg and I was wondering how she was?" She looked up at Whitestar and gave a small smile. She wondered how he would take her her request.

Whitestar nodded. "I understand. I forgot completely about that with the excitement of this attack and all--heh. Well, you're both good warriors and should be able to get to safety should the badger come. Make sure you make it clear to Hawkstar that you're not there to attack and stay off the other clans' territories." He shuddered. "Especially AquaClan's. Rockfang probably has no problem ripping the heads of trespassers off. Good luck!"

Doveheart walked to the entrance of the den, turning back to wait for Flaxeyes. She felt like an apprentice again. Flaxeyes was a brilliant warrior, and Doveheart didn't want to look like a fool. "Let's go, Flaxeyes."

"Thank-you so much Whitestar!" she cried.
She lept to her paws and raced after Doveheart. "Have you been to RainClan before? I hope Honeyfrost is okay. I have so much to tell her." She smiled happily at Doveheart. Flaxeyes was grateful that Whitestar was letting her go. She knew that her loyalty should lie with her Clan but she didn't think she would ever be able to cut her ties with her siblings. She missed how Owlspot watched her when she slept and how we would reassure he when she was upset. She missed Coppertail's leadership and his courage, how he would always take control of their adventures. But most of all, she missed the sister she could always confind in, even if she laughed at her.

"No, I don't think I've ever been to RainClan," Doveheart said, as they loped (ooc: loped? is that spelled right?) to the RainClan border. Doveheart could hardly keep her excitement in her when they reached the border between the two Clans.

Skypaw walked to Flaxeyes. "Um Flaxeyes, do you think we can practice some fighting moves alittle more. I was to afraid to fight the badger earlier, and I want to prove that I could be a better apprentice. And I know that I can't be a warrior." she meowed. She looked at her paws. "I'm thinking of giving up my apprentice name," she muttered, real quietly.
"You can be with Blackpaw, forget me, please," she meowed.

Flaxeyes stared at Skypaw in disbelief. She turned to see where Doveheart was and turned back to her apprentice. "You're a great apprentice Skypaw! I'm just not a very good mentor. It's okay that you were afraid. I'll take you training when I get back. It's a bit late to ask Whitestar if you can come so you'll have to stay...I promise Skypaw I will take you training. Rainlight's been asking for my help with Blackpaw's training that's all. I have to go Skypaw. Sorry!"
She looked at her apolegtically before running after Doveheart. Skypaw knows about me and Blackpaw...What will I do? Honeyfrost I need you more than ever now!

Skypaw smiled. "Yes!" she meowed. "Oops, that wasn't supposed to come out," she whispered. She jumped over to the fresh-kill pile. She snached to rabbits. She kicked one over to Whitestar. She smiled once more and bit hard onto the rabbit. She ripped it's pelt apart.

Whitestar laughed and tore into his rabbit. "How's training going?" he asked, a bit of fur dangling from his whiskers. He shook his head and the clump of fur fluttered to the ground. "I've never had an apprentice, but when Amberstar was made leader, nobody in the clan had ever had an apprentice except for Bluepool and Whitewhisker. Well, Flaxeyes was mentoring you, but that was it." He turned his head around and gave his shoulder a lick.

Skypaw shook her head. "I've been hunting with some other warriors but we have not been out in a while to train," she meowed. She gulpped down the rest of her rabbit and then jumped up. "Hey, where are we going to go? How about the Lake? Or Meadow? Or someplace else?" she asked.
