The place was dark, the only light coming from this odd fungus clinging to the trunks of trees and rocks. Badger took all of this in the second he opened his eyes. It was odd. No familiar scent wafted over him, no stars twinkling in the sky, and no comfort that probably should've come with death. Incidentally, teh events leading up to said event remain a dark blur of unimaginable joy, bloodlust, pain and the metallic taste of his own blood. He blinked, an odd grin spreading across his face. He'd make that little gray cat and his she-cat friend pay for killing him. He'd drive them mad. He'd invade their dreams and turn them into bloody nightmares, slowly tearing apart their psyche as he did so. Yes. Soon. That's what he'd do. That's how he'd handle his death.

The stars twinkled on the pelts of the StarClan warriors as they watched Badger enter a sky that they would not walk in. A few shivered at the hostility that came off the rogue in waves. In the Place of No Stars, he would be safe. He would not be able to harm anybody. Would he? Had the infamous Tigerstar not walked in the dreams of his kin? Was it possibly that Badger could do the same. A shudder moved through the cats followed by a wave of murmuring voices. What should they do?

Badger turned his head to the starless sky, glaring at the blackness. He grinned widely, his teeth glittering in the eery, unnatural blue. Finally, returning his attention to the forest, began to walk, intent on finding someone. It didn't matter, as long as he found someone he recognised. But, then again, not seeing someone was fine as well.
