Jingle. Jingle. Jingle.
A silver bell swung back and forth with each pace, jingling merrily.
Jingle. Jingle. Jingle.
Jude slid out of the catflap, his black and white fur bristling in the cold weather. Winter was starting, and the tom's fur was still greenleaf thin. He hopped up onto the fencepost, watching snow clouds begin to form. He tried to wash off the Twoleg scent that coated his fur, longing to smell the scent of the forest again.
Hmm. No one seems to be outside today, he thought. It's so pretty out though. They don't know what they're missing. |

Ralf bolted into his large fenced-area. He gazed seeing this white fuzz fall. "Maddie?" he whispered. No responce. "Maddie?" he wailed. "I wonder where she could be?" he meowed. Ralf's dark brown coated followed him up onto his wooden fence. He looked around, his mouth opened, drinking in the air. He kept his eyes open, and about a little whiles away, he smelled cat. "Who could that be?" he meowed. They must live a little whiles away. Sniffing the air again, still no sign of Maddie, his mother.

Out of the corner of his eye, Jude could see a tom wandering around. He was certain he hadn't ever seen this tom before, and it seemed like a good time to get acquainted. "Hello," he meowed from behind, watching the snow fall. The black and white tom began to wash his paws, still trying to get that awful Twoleg scent away.

Ralf walked up to the cat. "Hello, I'm Ralf. You live a couple homes away from mine I was just taking a stroll, you have that sent that I have, from our housefolks." Ralf purred. Ralf was in the best mood of his life and coundn't think of anything that can ruin it. His smile was large and his heart lifted from the regular place to it felt like to Starclan. He was so happy today and only starclan new why.

He stopped grooming himself, giving his chest fur a short lick before looking up again. Yeah, I think I've seen him around here before, the black and white tom thought. With that older she-cat...

"Well, I don't live with her, if you mean my mom then, she's around every now and then." he meowed. "She should be here anytime soon with some fresh mice," he purred, licking his lips and whiskers. See I used to live in the wild and used to eat mice and rabbits, but I decided to join my housefolks. Ralf then observed the thing that rapped around Jude's neck, and made a noise. "What's that?" he asked.
