Ralf hopped out the back door of his housefolks loving home. He didn't quite like to speak, but only to his housefolks. Watching the clouds drift by, but the thing was, there were no clouds. It was a clear, dark night. Ralf's orange pelt slipped into a fern bush, which was his favorite place to think. Without a noise he sighed and looked up. He could see it was a full moon. Ralf blinked quickly and walked into the middle of the yard. Taking another glimps, it was a full moon. He smiled and ran over to a small stone that their family had put his paw print in. He enjoyed sitting on it, to get a loving memory into his mind.
The day his father should him how to put his pawprint make a little paving. Ralf remember how to put his pawprint stick in the mud. Without the gooshy mud filling it back in. He smiled and looked up at the sky. The stars twinkled and shone as bright as he ever had seen them. He was only eight moons old, so he didn't see them as much as most cats. Ralf smiled widely. Father, please forgive me for leaving mother, I know you would be disapointed, I just could bare the home sickness without you there. I know I'm only eight moons old, but I still have a, I guess a long life ahead of me. Don't worry, my time will come. he thought, purring at the same time. He new he had not lived with these twolegs for long but he really liked them and he new they thought the same. He yawned and nodded and looked at the shadows, coming from the trees up above. I better go in, I'm getting tired. he thought, with one last yawn.

Jumping up to the window sill and seeing his young housefolk sitting on a twoleg bed and watching this moving light up picture box. He sat there and started to meow. Seeing his housefolk jumping up and walking to the back door Ralf jumped down and smiled as the door cracked open and arms rapped around his shoulders and waste. Ralf purred loudly as his furr brushed againest his owner's face. Ralf was sat down on the floor. He drank in the air. Food, he thought in relief.
Padding quickly around a sharp corner and running into another housefolk. Seeing it drop down a small bowl with hard food in it. He crunched on the hard, wierd shaped food. The delicate flavor rolled off his tounge and into his talking stomach. The instent Ralf lifted his head he had his housefolk's arms rapped around him. The soothing rub of its hand on his clean back.
Closing his eyes slowly, while looking out a window, from his housefolk's arms. Smiling at the full moon, for the last time that night.

Flashing Ralf's eyes open. To see the beautiful sunlight, shinning in the window and into his face. The bed he was slepping in was still neat. Then he noticed that his housefolk's bed was clean and was empty. Today his young housefolk shouldn't be leaving him. He stood up and to a couple steps and stretched. Ralf's orange back arch and his front paws went forward. Pulling himself back together, Ralf padded across the cold floor and onto a soft, white floor, that had led him to another cold flooring, that lead to his food bowl, and where his housefolk's ate. Ralf noticed his bowl was empty, but he wasn't hungry, he wanted to go outside and relax, to warm his fur.
Ralf stood on the rock that he had sat on last night. His father had told him many things about the clans. He wanted to act like a clan cat, just to play. Then he flinched. He sneced movement not too far away. It smell familiar but couldn't put his paw on it. Ralf charged into a large fern bush. The leaves shoved at his clean coat, he didn't care. Ralf looked through a small hole in the wooden fance. He noticed a tortie cat. "I knew she small familiar and and she even looks familar." he whsipered.
The tortie she-cat flinched. "Hello? Who's there?" she called calmly. She flinched and pointed her amber gaze at the hole Ralf was looking through. "Oh no," Ralf whispered. Ralf bolted out of the bush and onto the other side of the yard. Hopping the fence, well, trying. It took three times to hop the large fence. He finally took the courage to hop down. Then, running in and out of a bush-
"Hello?" the torie she-cat purred. Ralf gasped, almost having a panic attack. "I'm Maddie, and you are?" she meowed politely. Mother? Ralf thought. "Moe," he quickly said. That's all I could think of! Wow! Like she's going to buy- he thought until she interupted. "You smell familiar. Did you used to live in the old barn?" Maddie murmured. "Ahh yesh, but only for about three days." 'Moe' replied. "Okay Ralf you can stop it!" Maddie hissed. "I thought I would never see you again! Don't you ever run away like that again!" Maddie cried. Grabbing Ralf by his scruff and pulling him out, "No! I have a home now! I have housefolks!" Ralf snarled. "What? You found a new family?" Maddie spat, dropping her son. "Yes! And they take great care of me! For only being eight moons old I am still small and need some people to take care of me, I wouldn't like to see what happen to dad, to you, so I ran away." Ralf explained. Maddie said nothing. she stpped backward and shook her multi-colored head. Ralf's ears pricked backward, he heard his housefolk. "Mom, Maddie, I have to go, I'll meet you here at Moonhigh tonight. I promise!" Ralf meowed, nudging her. Maddie said no words.

Ralf leaped out of his Twolegs arms and out into the backyard. It was now Moonhigh. He told his mother he would meet her hear at this time. Only the shine of the moon showed him the way around the yard. Everything was black besides that. He had his orange, whitish coat groomed by his housefolk. "Mother?" he whispered. Before he closed his mouth his mother leaped from over the fence and was about a rabbit's length away from his nose. "Ralf," she whispered.
"I am so disappointed in you!" she hissed, slightly. "Mom, it's not-" "You should be ashamed!" Maddie meowed sternly. "Mom! It's not my fault!" Ralf snarled. "I couldn't see you die like dad did!" Ralf retorted. "I'm not going to die like him! He was protecting my pittiness." Maddie mumbled. "Well! Look at you now! You would do the same, now you look like dad!" Ralf hissed. "Because I've been running all around the clans!" Maddie hissed back, then turned around and looking away. "Wait, you saw-" "Yes, but only Aquaclan and Beachclan. They have well build warriors and I say for you to leave them alone." Maddie advised. "Wow, do they have leaders?" "Yes, Icestar and Jaystar. They have wise words and a strong clan. Aquaclan had just suffered fro a fire though. Their territory is crawling with Twolegs." Maddie said. "Housefolks." Ralf corrected. "Well, the clan and I and about everyone else calls them Twolegs." Maddie spat. "Maddie, I'm sorry, I sould have stayed with you, I promise to travel with you every now and then, but for now, I'm staying with my real home right now, and I'll live here till death." Ralf meowed, strongly. "Proud of you son," Maddie's words echoed in his head, while she hopped the fence quickly and heading toward her barn.
