She nodded briefly. "Inkkit is good. So there's Larchkit, Inkkit, Thunderkit, Swallowkit, and Quailkit," Tigerstripe stretched her paws out as the kits began to suckle. "Can someone bring me some fresh-kill?"

Jaystar called the apprentice back, not willing to leave his mate. "Basilpaw, could you bring Tigerstripe some fresh-kill?" Basilpaw nodded and left and in a few heartbeats came back with a rabbit and vole. He dropped them at the queen's paws. "Anything else?" He asked.

"That's good," she meowed, taking a bite of the rabbit. "Quietshadow left...he's probably going to get some herbs. Thanks, Basilpaw." Tigerstripe swallowed and repositioned her head so it was sideways like the rest of her body. "Whew. Anything new in AquaClan, Jaystar?"

Jaystar shook his head "Not really. Burntstar shouldn't bother us for awhile I hope" He murmered. "I can't get over on how Larchkit looks like me so much" He meowed, still gazing at the kits.

"Okay." She turned her head and gave her shoulder a quick lick. "The Clan'll probably be on my case about it. It'll make them more suspicious if I refuse. I think that I will tell them that it was Silentmask because he looked most like you." Tigerstripe nervously glanced around for eavesdroppers. "Icestar would kill me if she found out."

Jaystar nodded "Silentmask would be good" He meowed "Will you tell the kits the truth when they're old enough though?" He wondered aloud. "Icestar would probably kill me too" He murmered.

For indeed the medicine cat had returned with a bundle of borage leaves clamped in his jaws. "Doing all right, Tigerstripe?"
She nodded. "I've decided on names. Larchkit, Inkkit, Quailkit, Swallowkit, and Thunderkit."

Jaystar couldn't help but smile. He was still staring at Larchkit. /I can't believe it/ he thought with pride /these are my kin! my kits!/ he wanted to shout, but he knew better. He sat there, staring at his kits flicking his tail happily.

Quietshadow set down a borage leaf in front of Tigerstripe, watched the kits for a moment, then padded off. On his way out, he turned his head and meowed, "Send someone for me if you need any help. You're doing fine and I'd like to get some sleep." The medicine cat smiled sheepishly before returning to his den.
Tigerstripe took the borage in her mouth and chewed slowly. When Quietshadow had vanished from sight, she spit the borage pulp out the side of the bush. "Disgusting."

"You should do what he says" Jaystar yawned, and the moonlight made his white teeth shimmer in the darkness. "After all, he did save my life you know" He layed down next to his mate. "So, when do I get to see the kits again?" He asked "One time a moon isn't nearly enough" Jaystar added "Especially since I only have two more lives left" He added more quietly.

Icestar gave Jaystar a firm look. "Hmm," she grunted, reminding the cats she was still sitting there. "Basilpaw, I need you to go and check on Silentstep, she's probably hungry," she meowed. Silentstep growled as she heard her half-sister meow.
Icestar looked at the kits. "Thank Starclan," she purred quietly.

She shrugged, noticing Icestar watching them. Tigerstripe leaned over to make eye contact with her mate and mouthed We'll discuss this in the morning. She was getting tired and didn't want to eat the borage, but figured it would be best. So she chewed up the remaining bits of the leaf and forced it down her throat, wincing.

Jaystar nodded. He grunted in pain as he stood up. His sides heaved, "I guess I'll go back to the warriors den now" He meowed and dipped his head in respect to Icestar. "Yes Icestar" Basilpaw meowed obeidiently and scampered off quickly to get some prey, almost knocking Jaystar over. "Sorry" he meowed and went off to the fresh-kill pile. He got a juicy rabbit and ran back laying it by Silentstep "Here you go" Basilpaw meowed "Anything else Icestar?" He asked his leader.

Silentstep opened her jaws and grabbed the rabbit. Icestar nodded. "See if Quietshadow needs help with anything, then you can eat," she meowed. She liked this apprentice, she hoped that he was doing well with his training. "He'll make a good warrior," she purred to the grumpy elder. Silentstep shrugged. "I guess, you know that he needs to keep up though. He's pretty small for his age," she argued. Icestar turned to her, "well, I don't see you up in about all the time!" the black leader hissed. Silentstep bit hard, ripping the rabbit's skin.

Quietshadow shook his head. "There's nothing I need," he meowed. "Except for one of Tigerstripe's kits to be an apprentice. This is getting hard to do alone." With that, he strode off for his den to pick up some more borage.

Deadsoul padded up to Jaystar. "So I'm an Aquaclan cat again correct?" he asked. He didn't really know. He puffed his chest. "We are leaving tonight correct," he asked Redwind. "I don't know! Jaystar has us everywhere," she meowed quietly. She licked her chest and sat down. "The smell of Beachclan is giving me a headache," she hissed quietly.
