Jaystar woke up and for a minute forgot where he was. He sighed as he remembered his clan home was destroyed. He knew Beachclan wouldn't be very hospitable much longer and he thought about where the clan would go. He knew they couldn't go back, even if they did it would be impossible to survive. /Where will we go?/ the thought raced in his mind. Jaystar looked around the medicine cat den and let out a staggered sigh. He felt stronger than before. He stood up and stretched each of his legs.

Ocean padded briskly behind the gray she-cat and Maddie, Shadow trailing behind her, her eyes bright with curiousity. "Mom, do you think I could-"
"Absolutely not, Shadow! This is Clan territory. They'll have our tails if we break away from the group!" she said. Shadow dropped back a little, sulking, but she was still inredibly curious about the new patch of land. Who knows what kind of interesting things were hidden here? The curly-haired she-cat sighed, slouching on after her mother and their new friend.
OOC: By the way, the Clans, especially RainClan, know who Ocean and Shadow are because they let them stay in their barn on their way to the Moonpool. Just to let you all know.

Maddie looked back at Ocean as she yelled loudly. She slowed down a little bit. "It's okay, I'm curious too." she purred. She finally slid down and small hill and into a moss cover den. It was hard to see but then she saw a huge palm tree leaf. She slid under it and saw Sheena. "Sheena!" she purred. Shadowsoul turned her head. "Maddie!" Shadowsoul purred back.
Redwind whipped her head around and looked at the kittypet. "Who's this, Shadowsoul?" she asked. Shadowsoul smiled. "Redwind, this is my friend, Maddie, we've known her since I was little." she meowed. Maddie dipped her head to the orange queen. She looked at Redwind. "And this is Ocean and Shadow." the kittypet meowed, flicking her tail toward her other friends.
Shadowsoul looked at Rainkit, who was under her belly. Shadowsoul sat up and pushed Rainkit out. "Rainkit, this is Maddie." she purred to her daughter. "O my gosh!" Maddie squealed. "She's so small and little." she purred. Shadowsoul saw Redwind lye down. "O no. Where's Owlspot!" The black queen hissed.
"Owlspot!" Redwind yowled. "I'm not having my kits without him here." she cried. "You have too, or your kits will die!" Maddie meowed calmly. Redwind's eyes looked worried. "Where is Moonstream!?" Shadowsoul hissed. "Coppertail! Get a medicine cat!" she hissed. "Please." Redwind meowed to the deputy. "Please." She repeated. Shadowsoul looked at Mousekit. "May I have Mousekit please?" Shadowsoul asked Emberlight, noticing she couldn't nurse all of her kits. Or kit.

Coppertail's pelt was bristling at the sight of the loners. It was okay that Foxflame had brought one rogue cat to cat but these three were just too much!
He looked at Redwind awkwardly. "I'm sure Owlspot will be back soon...," he meowed, glancing around camp. He winced as he noticed his brother's mate was becoming distressed. "I'll go fetch Moonstream!" he meowed quickly running off.
occ: We should make a seperate board for her kitting.

Ocean'e eyes widened at the thought of kitting. "I-I have to go," she whispered, backing out of the den quickly. She breathed in the night air, not letting her thoughts run back to the day she had lost a kit. She closed her eyes, her mind a whirlwind of memories. "This can't be happening," she whispered to herself.
Shadow saw her mother rush out, but she didn't go after her. She knew what had upset her mother, and she didn't want to make it worse. She turned back Sheena and Redwind. What a strange name... "Nice to meet you," she said politely. Her eyes then wandered around the den, looking for anything of interest. Nothing.
Emberlight was jolted out of her light sleep at the sound of Shadowsoul's request. She looked down at Mousekit. "Sure, go ahead," she whispered. The fiery golden queen didn't know why this ripped the hole in her heart open again. This wasn't her kit! But the thought of losing a kit had taken her breath away and she closed her eyes, willing herself to sleep. Redwind was having kits, but this just made it all the more worse for her to stay awake. Ripplekit squirmed against her belly at the noise, and Emberlight looked down worriedly. She licked the top of her daughter's head, pushing her closer. At least she still had Ripplekit and Sparkkit.
Moonstream raced out of the medicine den toward the supposed Nursery. She saw a tortoiseshell hyperventilating outside, but she couldn't stop. She was surprised to see two extra cats inside than she had planned. There was Shadowsoul and her kits, Redwind, who she was here for, and the BeachClan queen who was squeezing her eyes shut and one of her kits howling in discomfort. Probably the noise...
"Redwind, I know Owlspot isn't here, but we have to start anyway, OK?" she said, her heart galloping. My first kitting! She wasn't supposed to like that as much as she did.

Shadowsoul looked at Maddie, "do you mind getting out of the nursery, I'll come with you." Shadowsoul meowed. "Sure Sheena." Maddie meowed back. "My name is Shadowsoul," the black queen growled. "Sorry." she whispered. She back out of the nursery and kind of pushed Shadow out with her. "Shadow, how about you meets some new friends or something." Shadowsoul offered. "Can I show her the apprentices?" Rainkit squealed. Shadowsoul just flicked her tail, telling her, 'go.' Rainkit ran over to Dragonpaw, which was carring Rockfang with Thunderpaw, Quietshadow, and Browntail. "Dragonpaw!" Rainkit meowed. "Yes?" Dragonpaw asked, annoyed. "Come, I have someone for you to meet." Rainkit purred, running back to Shadow.
"This better not be some stupid Beach-" he started, until he met the sweet gaze of Shadow. "OH hi!" he purred. He smiled and looked at Rainkit. Nice job Rainkit.... he thought, smiling at the kit and nodding. Rainkit wagged her tail and jumped onto the black tom's back. "Shadow, Dragonpaw, Dragonpaw, Shadow." she purred.

Shadow scuffled her feet, meowing an almost incoherent, "Hi." She didn't even care that the kit had called her Shadow, and Dragonpaw had called her 'Shadow'. She was just extremely embarressed to be talking to a tom other than Henry. And her brother, Ace, and her father.
Moonstream, incredibly grateful for the empty space other than the BeachClan queen, turned back to Redwind. "Redwind, you have to start pushing. Your kits are coming!" The silver she-cat could barely hold in her excitement. And her dismay. What if she messed up? What if a kit died? Quietshadow had said they had lost a kit recently with the BeachClan queen sleeping beside them in the Nursery. The greatest kind of pity washed out to the fiery golden tabby. There's nothing like losing a son or daughter.

Dragonpaw looked around. "Do you want to meet the other apprenitices?" he asked politely. He stood up as Rainkit yelped, "Can I come?" "Sure," Dragonpaw meowed. He padded to the apprentice's den, where no cat was in. He watched as Silentstep carried more borage and jupiter berries into camp. He limp was looked bad. "That's Silentstep, Icestar's sister," he meowed to Shadow. "Icestar is the black she-cat you met by the Rushing River." he meowed.

Shadow nodded eagerly. When they found the apprentices den empty, they turned to see a black she-cat carrying leaves and berries into the camp. She had a limp, and the 8 moon old she-cat pitied her. "Oh," was all she said when Dragonpaw introduced her.

Dragonpaw then padded up to Icestar which was padding out of the nursery. "May I take Shadow hunting?" he asked the black she-cat. "Yes, you need all the food you need to help your clan." she meowed. "Take the rest of the apprentice's with you." she ordered. Dragonpaw nodded.
"Thunderpaw, Quailpaw? Want to go hunting with Shadow and me?" he asked. "What about Shallowpaw? Want to add her in?" he asked. He stood sternly, he was getting very big, almost ten moons old. He looked at Rockfang, who was on Browntail's shoulder again, then padding off after Quietshadow and into the medicine cat's den.

"Okay," both apprentices meowed at the same time, with Quailpaw coughing once afterward. Thunderpaw flicked his ear irritably and glanced at his sister. "Who's Shallowpaw?" he asked. "Some AquaClan cat?" He accented the word AquaClan with a drop of obvious disdain, like the Clan was a parasite or a deadly disease.
"I don't know!" Quailpaw retorted defensively. "I think our only apprentices are Dragonpaw and me."

"Sorry, I mean't Swallowpaw. I think that's her name." he meowed. He stood up tall and noiticed that the two appentices look a little bit the same as Tigerstripe and Jaystar, Quialpaw came from Beachclan and Jaystar gave her a warm welcome. Pretty fishy in his eyes. "We could we hunt where we know that I can hunt at, I can't swim." he pointed out, asking Thunderpaw.

"The forest doesn't have any water," Thunderpaw meowed. "Well, it might, but it's nothing like trying to hunt at the lagoon or at the Rushing River."
"That sounds good," Quailpaw agreed, stretching her front legs out in front of herself. "If we encounter any, we might be able to teach Dragonpaw how to swim. Only, of course, if he wants to," she added hastily.

Shadow felt unnaturally awkward around the Clan cats. But she was excited to go hunting. Maybe she could show off a little...but just a little. Still, she felt weird around them. They all knew each other. "Hi," was all she could muster. Her skin heated, and she was grateful for the fur the covered her pelt.

Dragonpaw smiled and nodded. "Forest sounds great, and I would love to swim, if your mentors don't mind, Icestar is still sending out mentors and their apprentices out." he meowed sternly. He nudged Shadow as he turned around and headed for the entrance. After walking a few steps, he turned around and said, "coming?"

"Of course we're coming!" meowed Thunderpaw loudly, padding on after Dragonpaw and Shadow. Quailpaw rolled her eyes and scolded her brother--"Be polite!"--before scurrying after him. Obviously, Thunderpaw didn't know anything about manners (much to his family's dismay) and didn't care about his lack of knowledge.

Shadow quickly padded after the gray she-cat who had lead them in, Dragonpaw, and the loud, bumbling apprentice who she couldn't think of a name for. Oh yeah...Thunderpaw. Quite fitting, really. Shadow had never heard so much noise come from one cat. She fell into step beside Dragonpaw, looking at her paws and not knowing what to say.

Dragonpaw gave Quailpaw an odd look. "I like your brother, he's fun and loud, kind of my type of cat." he meowed. He new the two sibblings basically hated each other and he wanted to stand up to Thunderpaw for once. He slowed down and padded next to Shadow, letting Thunderpaw take the lead.
"What clan you from?" he asked. By the smell of her, and the way her pelt was so nicely groomed, he thought she was a kittypet, but kittypets were more rude and dumb.
"Sorry," hre fianlly said, "your not from here are you?"

Quailpaw exhaled sharply at Dragonpaw's words. "Yeah--he's very--dynamic," she hissed through clenched teeth. How could her own Clanmate be taking Thunderpaw's side?
Smirking, Thunderpaw pranced to the head of the small hunting patrol with his chin in the air. He was glad that someone had decided to support him and not his sister. What a snob. Why'd she even run away? It doesn't look like she has any friends in AquaClan either.

Shadow shook her head. "I'm from a run-down barn over by the Moonpool. Sometimes the leader's stay there on their way back from it. My mom got worried, being the parent that she is, that something was wrong when we hadn't heard from you guys in a while, and when we couldn't find any information in any other stopping place, Maddie offered to take me and my mom here." She blushed, realizing she'd been rambling. She did that when she was nervous. She looked down at her paws, waiting a little to continue. "I guess she was right."

Dragonpaw listened to Shadow. "That was nice of Maddie, and nice to see that your mother was worried. My mother and father were rouges, and when I was a kit, I was abandon, fell into Aquaclan camp, and here I am now." he meowed softly, trying to make his story short and sweet. He sniffed the air and noticed they were now along the border, smelling a strong Rainclan sent. "Now that sent there is Rainclan, the marshy, wet smell." he informed, trying to act smart.
The black tom raised his head and wailed, "hey Thunderpaw? We almost there?"
