The Moon~^^

Here's an extended metaphor, kinda a poem thing, I had to write for english. Had to choose and inanimate object and animal. I choose a cat and the moon. Now, here it is, please tell me what you think.



The moon is cat
silently watching,
waiting.
A bright shimmering eye all seeing.
Unbroken, soft rays dancing gracefully
over darkened cold paths.
Footsteps light, quiet.
quick to see but harder to catch.
Slender refined entity,
thats an envied beauty to all.
Disappears and is hidden from view,
only to reappear as swiftly
as its gone.
It does as it wants,
striding confidently through the sky
without a care.
Just as you begin to understand its
mysterious and intriguing ways,
its gone.

It seems like a poem in itself but reading the differently colored lines on their own also makes sense. Is that how it's supposed to be?

I just realized that Tiger! No, it's not, I did the different colors and all for effect and it did that! It's just supposed to be a metaphor, but extended enough to be a poem. If that explains it. xD

Lol, thanks Lexie! It was an assignment, I had a hard time starting and not even sure if it's completely right. The one we made in class, all of us together, was a fox and the sun. It was awesome : )

That's really awesome! I love it.
Just a suggestion though, shouldn't it be the moon is a cat....a bright shimmering eye all-seeing.
The second bit is because the moon is like one big eye rather than two. Does that makes sense?

I really want to do something like this now! Perhaps we should have a game or a competition where everybody makes a poem about a cat or something cat related like this is.
