I agree that some of those names are simply bizarre. xD
But the sites with the bizarre names also have the most beautiful layouts... ;w;
We could try and we might even succeed. The proboards code database will probably have something and I know someone who's on a fancy-layouted rp site--maybe she can give me some tips.
There is a way to make the colors of admins' names different, but only the head admin can do that.
Also, I could make a brand new, super fancy skin. I've gotten much better since my last attempt to make one, both in my color choices and in my photomanipulation skills. :3

And yes, I reckon we could give it a go. We should discuss ideas with Lexie when she's online. I like the idea of having different colours for the member names and also the little icons for the Staff members. If we all supplied a picture of one of our cats or something do you think you could do something with it? Some of the forum had them appear faded when the cursor was not on them...
We'll need to discuss colours and layout options. I have a tablet so I could do some rough sketchs etc
EDIT: I'm moving this thread so other members can have a look at them too.

forestghosts.proboards91.com^This has the admin icons and links to ranked cats, as well as a georgeous layout. I'll start looking through some HTML and CSS codes. I'm not very good at making stuff from scratch, although I can take a code and edit it to do what I want it to. Perhaps we could use the forum Lexie created when we thought this site was gone for good to test layouts, skins, etc. We could do something with it. The possibilities for these kinds of things are more or less infinite.

I can do little with coding but I think I could do the headers and footers like that. They're just seperate tables by the looks of things. All we need to do is make little icons and banners etc.
Using the other forum is an awesome idea! It will be create for practising. I'll need to make an account though.

I've already found a code that separates the different categories and allows each one to have its own header. I know of a few that will center the main header and get rid of the "Hey, x, you have y messages" thing, and a hover code shouldn't be too hard to find. x3

omg I'm jealous. This isn't fair! I like the second one at the top. I like how you can try your post into the box to see how long it is! =] I can give you guys the link to their, we can practice and mess around w/ it. I have some ideas for some new layouts and borders.
To tell you the truth I think the layouts are getting old and tiring to look at, I can find some pictures we can fiddle around w/ so we can play around with them and get some sweet stuff. I also like the one Tiger found.
And w/ the one website that had the admin's guide and had the cute icons on it, along w/ the one w/ the clans. I think we can make some icons for that easily if we work at it. I have an 'okay' look at coding but not as well as a lot of people. I only have paint and gimp, but when I use gimp i just get confused. And paint is too stubborn to work w/.
I really like the everchange w/ the clans stuff and on wonderland cat [laughed at that one] I like the background and logo. oooo and I like the second to last one! ^^

I can make the side tables and everything. Once we have an idea, I'll start manipping and trying to code stuff. x3
I like the pictures, Lexie, and I think I'll be able to use them in skins for each clan. :3
Cat: Of course you can post here! xD The more input, the better.
I also think we should do a little bit of reorginazation with the ooc boards without making it too confusing. Like, one for official stuff that you need to read and one that's more informal. c:

Ok! Thanks Tiger. And yeah, it is kinda confusing with all the boards under general. I like the idea of kinda informal and official with these topic under them because it's kinda messy. I mean, Ali does her best updating the Alliances and Apprentices and stuff, but its still a little chaotic. Lemme know if i can help.

you can PM us any time you want to help, or just post in the C-box. I really want to almost remodle most of this website. Like new template, like Tiger said and is helping. Yes, general needs a little work, and I'm thinking of taking out some boards in the territories that don't get roleplayed in and make new ones, maybe more help for the clan to survive, like more rivers and more hunting grounds. Instead of maybe the farm in Beachclan and what not. Maybe put the Thunderpath in one of No Cats Land.
Maybe we can have some ideas on new markers

Okay, so Tiger is looking into coding and possible layouts. Lexie and I can look into icons for staff members and such. Cat, Lexie and I can start planning how to organise boards and how everything should be set out. We need to do some sketches of rough layouts.
In the meantime we should start some sketches of how we want the layout to look. I reckon on the left hand side bar we should have a section for CotM, MoTM, Weather, Staff and Clan stats with possible icons for each one. Sound good?

We can't edit the territories too much because that would mean changing the map...
Note: I like the idea of Clan stats shown in Evergreen and I believe one showed them as strips with names and linked them to their apps.

Here I can draw something tonight on some rough drafts, like I like the left colum on how it shows the cats. Once this is all repaired maybe we can bring in members and start a contest to see who can bring in like the most active members or something? I'm an admin on Roux's site, so maybe I can copy and paste some stuff an paste it onto my dead one.
I think we should totally take out ooc chat and move some of the boards around a little. Maybe Art Gallery can go last and admin chat can be moved up a little....

We'll worry about content when it comes xD I started making banners for each ranked cat that were displayed on that one site. Here are three:    If anybody with a ranked cat or cats has their own image, feel free to show me. Please, for the sake of my sanity, try to find a nice small one (I found these by taking a screenshot of the previews on a Google Images search xD). A big one will work, but I'll have to size it down and it might look grainy or pixelly. Not fun. Alternatively, if you want me to find one for your cat(s), just say so. :3 |

It's somewhat flexible because the banners are all full in the face. Quietshadow and Rockfang's banners both had different sized heads, but they both worked. A smaller image will have more of a full-face view, while a larger one will focus more on the eyes. :3
It doesn't matter how big the picture itself is because I crop out what I don't need.
