"Yeah," meowed Whitestar, eyes drifing from the RainClan leader to a certain cat in the crowd. "I'd say that's about how she makes me feel." He sighed softly at the very thought. The leader had--surprisingly--not heard the truthful rumor about who Skylight's mother was, but when he did, he would certainly be scared half to death.
"Two clans worth of cats," Quietshadow mewed, not wanting to think about that possibility. "It's happened before, although certainly never during my lifetime...and I don't want it to happen again. Well, we'll know when it becomes blackcough. The sick cats will start to cough up blood and it will all be over in less than half a day." His voice slowly decrescendoed over the last sentence, ending in what was barely a whisper.

ooc; Hey Tiger, do you just want Rockfang to lead Aquaclan in, I don't think they are coming any time soon.
Icestar jumped to her paws. "Coppertail? Any report on Aquaclan coming? They were just gathering when we left. What's taking them?" she meowed loudly. Goldenpaw looked at Icestar in gaze, she has never seen a she-cat seem so, so, delecate. Well she wasn't like her in any way but couldn't quite remember who she is, the elder's had mentioned all the important cats in all the clans. She had to probably be important on the fact that she's ordering cats around.

Tussockwind rolled his eyes. "Talk about oblivious," he meowed, scolding Skylight. "I've been waiting for ages to tell you!" A huge smile crept across his face, a sign he had forgiven the black and white she-cat. "And by the way, I'm guessing you mean Goldenpaw right? There was no need to get grumpy at Maplepaw. She's been trying to make the friends but Goldenpaw always walks off just like you saw her do then. Mousebrain expects cats to walk up and just say 'We're friends now!'"
Orchidtail smiled happily and playfully shoved Hawkstar with her shoulder. "Looks like somebody is in love. Are you going to tell us who she is?"
Rainlight winced and nodded at Quietshadow's comment. "You'll loose the kits and elders first. Several generations gone over a few days. The greencough must be contained."
Coppertail turned away from Owlfoot and looked up at Icestar. "Nope. They must of decided to arrive later to give some sort of impression. Fashionably late I suspose."
Littelpaw prodded Goldenpaw with a small spotless white paw. "Why do you keep doing that?" he asked softly. "I thought you wanted to be with Maplepaw? Now Lightningpaw and Heronpaw will make all the friends and we'll be left out!" He noticed that Goldenpaw was staring at something in the distance and followed her gaze up to a black she-cat with bright blue eyes. "Why are you staring at Icestar? She's such a grump and so is her deputy. Tussockwind told me."

Goldenpaw cracked a smile at Littlepaw. "She doesn't seem like it, she's letting Aquaclan stay in her camp." she meowed. "I heard Coppertail is, but I don't know know about her." she meowed. "Hey, I saw Skylight and Maplepaw yelling at eachother. Was it about me? She seems nice, I'm just too shy to be around other cats." she murmured. She looked away and back at Skylight. Skylight looked angry.
Skylight looked at Tussockwind with a glare, as sharp as Icestar's herself. "You just don't like cats for the way they are afriad to talk to others?" she spat. "That's not right, talk to any warrior, they will say pretty much the same thing." she hissed. She knew Tussockwind was a warrior, but right now, he was acting like an apprentice. "It's not fair to her." she finished. Skylight walked away and joined Blackleaf again. "Rainlight is right," she hissed. "Silentstep is fine now, she'll be good as new at Moonhigh tomorrow," he reasured. His tone was sharp.

Hawkstar chuckled, flicking Orchidtail's ear with his tail. "He better be careful." he teased, before looking to where Whitestar was, his smile dropping as he saw Skylight. "He better be really careful. That's Skylight he's talking about Orchidtail." he said, looking to his mate with concern. Icestar's daughter...oh boy.

"Icestar is bossy from what've heard," Littlepaw meowed, shrugging his shoulders. When Goldenpaw asked him about Skylight and Maplepaw he turned to his sister startled. She knew they were fighting and let them? He frowned angrily and flicked his tail hard against the ground. "That wasn't very nice you know! Maplepaw was trying to introduce you to Skylight and you just walked off. Talk about rude. You always do that and now Maplepaw is getting yelled at again. She's trying to be friends with us all. You should be over there getting to know them. How are they meant to know that your shy if you just run off and look miserable? That's not being shy that's sulking." Littlepaw really liked Maplepaw for her good stories and understanding. She knew what it is was like to be held back by something. In her case it was her injuries while in his it was his size.
"Oh what?!" Tussockwind meowed angrily. "She's not shy, she's just another apprentice who thinks everything is about her! Just like a certain young FrostClan warrior I know." Nobody was allowed to speak to him or his sister like that. Especially not some she-cat who had such a short training to a she-cat who wasn't even Clan-born. "Stupid furball..."
"Blackleaf, are you the BeachClan medicine cat?" Rainlight retorted. "No you are not. If Quietshadow, a more experienced medicine cat, has concerns about greencough then he obviousily has a reason too. It's not your place to decided whether another Clan cat is healthy." The older she-cat was starting to doubt her decision in letting Oceanstar make Blackleaf her apprentice. The tom was tempermental, reckless and didn't seem to listen to anything she said. Rainlight actually kind of hoped right now he would stay in BeachClan with Flaxeyes' kits.
Orchidtail sensed the change in her mate's behaviour and her smile faltered with his. "Skylight?" she echoed. Of all the she-cats in FrostClan, Whitestar just had to fall in love with Skylight. Not only would that mean tying himself to Icestar's family but there could be all sorts of issues if there were kits...

(Forgive me! It's been really hectic!)
Owlfoot snapped out of a slight daze, looking about the gathered cats in slight shock, blinking his one eye confusedly. What had happened. He shook his head, standing and shaking his pelt, wincing at the still healing scars. He blinked about, searching for Hawkstar. The RainClan deputy was currently lost in the throng of cats.

(( Yay! I wasn't sure if you would post ;_; ))
Coppertail looked around and saw that Hawkstar and Whitestar were both now engaged in quiet conversation. In the moonlight, he couldn't help but notice some small wounds on the RainClan leader's shoulders, as if somebody had bit him. Then he caught a glimpse of Owlfoot and felt his stomach do a somersault. The deputy had several gashes around his neck and shoulders, his eyes dull. Somebody had done their best to kill him and Hawkstar. "Owlfoot? Are you okay?" he asked, moving to walk beside the grey tom.

(I'm sorry!)
Owlfoot jumped, flying around to face Coppertail, his tail up and his body trembling slightly. he still wasn't used to his blind side, finding it difficult to tell if anyone was coming, let alone fight. He calmed, seeing it was only Coppertail. He huffed slightly, his tail drooping and his ears flattening to skull. "I'm sorry...it's just...things have been different since my eye..." he whispered, tip of his tail twitching nervously. He had nearly joined StarClan that day...he had been frightened.

Skylight let out a growl. "You're just selfish! Like every other cat in Rainclan." she retorted. Her hair stood on end along her neck. "Leave me alone," she hissed. Walking away she padded and sat next to Coppertail. "You're Flaxeyes' brother?" she asked. She wanted to get the Rainclan cats off her head. "How is she anyway?" she asked.
Goldenpaw looked at her brother. "I'm just tired of cats looking at me different. You always left me out, and I'm tired of it, I'm leaving." she hissed. She turned around and hid into the shadows, trying to find an easy escape route. She didn't want to see this clan again if it ment going to Starclan.

Lightningpaw looked between the bickering cats, unsure what to say or do. These cats were friends, why were they fighting over his sister. He looked over his shoulder to see Littlepaw talking to Goldenpaw. He really never understood his sister, and he didn't mean to leave her out...it just seemed she never went along with them and such...He glanced to Maplepaw and Tussockwind, frowning. "I'm sorry my sister caused so much trouble." he said, apologizing before slipping between them after Skylight. He caught her talking to Coppertail and he hesitated before speaking. "Skylight..?" He didn't want to appear wanting to a fight, especially after her last comment about Rainclan cats. He hoped she would at least listen to him. "I'm sorry about my sister. Don't blame Tussockwind or Maplepaw, they just don't understand her mood swings...me and my brothers have a hard time with it too."

Coppertail took a step back, slightly startled. No wonder Owlfoot's eyes looked dull, one of them had several cuts across it and now it seemed he was blind. "What happened to you?" he asked, his voice filled with concern. Owlfoot had seemed so happy the last time he had seen him. Coppertail draped his tail over the warriors shoulder and led him back towards the base of the High Rock. "Have you had your medicine cat look at your wounds? Surely it's not so bad....?" Then Skylight suddenly appeared beside and he had to nudge Owlfoot gently so the tom knew she was here. He had learnt quickly and didn't want the RainClan jumping out of his skin again. "Skylight, I'm sorry. I have more important things to deal with at the moment," he meowed, gesturing towards the cat beside him. "Flaxeyes is perfectly fine. You should ask your brother about her. I'm not a medicine cat."
Tussockwind and Maplepaw glanced at each with a look of confusion. Were they selfish? They were trying to make friends with Goldenpaw but she always ran away. That wasn't their fault. "It's okay," Maplepaw murmured to Lightningpaw as he apologised. "I'm getting used to it." "Stuckup furballs the lot of them," Tussockwind grunted.
"I never leave you out," Littlepaw hissed as he rose to his feet. "Did you listen to a single word I said? You have everbody fighting and you enjoy it! Maplepaw looks so unhappy right now. You are the selfish one. Why- Why-AHH!" He whirled around and stormed back over to where the other RainClan apprentices where. He was so sick of his sister complaining. 'I'm left out', 'Everybody hates me', 'They look at me funny'. She needed to just get over herself. Cats didn't like her because she was a miserable looking thing that never talked to anybody and walked off when everybody is talking and having fun. Heronpaw never invited her on their adventures because he knew she would either not be there at the planning (their adventures were purely on impulse) or would stalk off and let her parents blame him if anything went wrong. In this case Maplepaw was getting blamed.

Owlfoot turned so that he could see Skylight, blinking at her with his head down.He then looked back to Coppertail. "Honeyfrost and I were attacked by a pair of rogues...they took me off guard and the hurt Honeyfrost...I'm really ashamed of myself," he said, voice tiny. He really was ashamed of himself. If he ahd been more alert, maybe both of them could've avoided injury. He nodded his head politely to Skylight, apologizing for being Coppertail's main concern.

ooc: All right.
bic: "Maybe," replied Whitestar, his voice low and clinging to every syllable in a way that could mean only "yes." He was also silently praying to StarClan that Icestar wouldn't hear. Of all the cats who could be his mother-in-law...well, it wasn't that she was a bad leader. She simply scared Whitestar. I don't want to think about what'll happen if she feels the same way back and Icestar knows...oh...!
"Blackleaf, you haven't seen much greencough, have you?" Quietshadow asked in a manner that was not scolding or mocking but serious. "Sometimes the cat will respond really well to the treatment and get better that quickly. Other times...well, Silentstep's has progressed rather quickly--she was fine the day before--but we caught the greencough before it got really bad. She's a strong cat."
Rockfang trudged into the clearing around Fourtrees, the silent march punctuated by an occasional cough. Behind her were Moonstream, Soulstorm, Scarletmoon, Owlspot, Rainfeather, and Browntail. Jaystar was somewhere back there, too (or so she hoped). She walked up to the other leaders and meowed a brief hello before proceeding to explain the reason for their tardiness. "We got lost," she growled in a voice so hoarse and low that Whitestar jumped a mouselength to the side before regaining his composure. Another scary she-cat... "AquaClan isn't used to coming to Fourtrees in the dark from BeachClan. We lost your trail in the dark; remember, most of us are still having trouble breathing from the fire." The deputy coughed once to prove her point. The disdain for staying with the enemy was evident in her tone; clearly, she wanted to get home as soon as possible.

Coppertail felt like his whole world had been tipped upside down as soon as Owlfoot had uttered his sister's name. He quickly searched the crowd of cats at the Gathering but he couldn't spot her amongst them. He turned back to the injured deputy, his amber eyes wide and filled with concern for Honeyfrost's wellbeing. "Is Honeyfrost...she's not...dead, is she?" he asked, choking on each word. Please don't say 'yes'. Please don't say you're ashamed because you let her die. Oh please.
"Maybe as in 'yes'?" Orchidtail asked, giving Whitestar a verbal prod. "There's nothing wrong with that. It's just, well, her mother's the problem."
"Everything looks odd in the dark," Owlspot grumbled, trudging after Rockfang. He was slightly annoyed about having missed alot of the catch-up time that the leaders allowed before they began to share their news. Also, there was a rumour going around about rogues attacking cats in the Clan territories and he wanted to see if it was true.

Skylight smiled at Lightningpaw, "that's sweet." she purred, touching noses to the small apprentice. "Tell your sister, don't be afriad, Starclan be with you!" she purred.
Icestar jumped to her paws. "Thank Starclan!" she meowed. She jumped ontop of the Great Rock and dipped her head. "Anyone care to go first?" she asked. Her breath shot out a cold fog coming from her mouth. "Leaf-bare has brought worse," she murmured to herself.
Skylight jumped to her paws and sat next to Blackleaf. "Well, she's young, she'll be better by the time Flaxeyes' kits open their eyes," he hoped. "Also, do you care to help me check on Flaxeyes, I've never done a kitting yet." he asked. He then turned to his mother. Her black, glossy pelt was hard to see, but he could see her eyes, they reminded him of Skylight, then when he looked at Skylight's eyes, they reminded him of Icestar's. I wonder why cat question her as mean, or bad, she's just trying to do good for the clan. Blackleaf turned to Skylight and smiled. Skylight smiled at him too, then turned and looked at Whitestar. "Skylight," he whispered. Skylight didn't answer. "Skylight?" he meowed more loudly. "Hmm?" she meowed, startled. "Nevermind." Blackleaf started to question why the she-cat was always off track now a days.
Browntail padded up to Tussockwind. "Hello, long time no see," he murmured. "Tussockwind now right?" he meowed. He looked at Maplepaw's irriated face. "What's wrong?" he asked.

At the gesture of the older she-cat, Lightningpaw felt his skin beneath his fur heat up with embarrassment and he smiled slightly. "T-thanks. And I'll tell her. Nice to meet you Skylight." he murmured back warmly before turning and going back to Maplepaw and Tussockwind. "It seems it's about to start." he said, looking up to the leaders.
Hawkstar nudged Orchidtail once more before moving up beside Icestar. He looked around to the cats, seeing their attention turn to the leaders. He glanced up to the sky, seeing the bright moon and no clouds in sight. But the moon was getting lower, they needed to hurry this along.

"Yes, as in yes," Whitestar meowed at Orchidtail. He was relieved that Icestar--or any other cat--had not overheard his conversation. He knew that the two RainClanners would never tell. After all, if they were going to pull a surprise attack on FrostClan, what good would knowing the leader's secret crush do them? None at all, unless they'd team up with BeachClan to do it. It doesn't matter anyways because we're at peace with RainClan. No problems there.
"I'll go first, unless someone else would care to," grunted Rockfang. "It seems that Jaystar isn't here." Well, it wasn't the first time she had had to fill in for her leader. His breathing had been off ever since the battle when he got the deep wound in his side, and the fire only aggravated it.... She, too, had been below par following the huge fight. Nearly dying has highly detrimental effects on one's health.

"Thank goodness," Coppertail sighed, relief filling every pore in his body. He looked up and saw that Rockfang was beggining to speak on behalf of Jaystar. To be honest, the AquaClan leader couldn't have very many lives left after the battle with Burntstar and his health had been in decline ever since, it wouldn't be long until Jaystar would be walking with StarClan.
Owlspot quickly moved through the ground until he spotted somebody he knew. "Owlfoot!" he whispered, going to sit beside the RainClan deputy. It wasn't until he got closer did he see the injuries the tom bore. "What happened to you? Looks like somebody tried to kill you!"
Orchidtail smiled at both Hawkstar and Whitestar before going down to sit amongst the other cats. She honestly hoped everything went well for Whitestar. He was still young and he needed somebody who could help him out and comfort him when times were tough. She hoped even more that that cat was Skylight.
"Duh," Heronpaw meowed loudly, rolling his eyes at Lightningpaw. "Be quiet. I want to hear about Jaystar. Do you think he's dead?" "Does anybody look like they're sad? If Jaystar was dead it would be the first thing to be announced," Maplepaw told him. Her irritation with Skylight and Goldenpaw came through in her voice. Heronpaw stared at her angrily and a little confused. Usually she was really gentle when it came to telling him things. Skylight had really upset her.
"Oh. Hello, Browntail," Tussockwind meowed quietly as the leaders were begginning to speak. "I'm a warrior. Soon Hawkstar will announce it along with the new apprentices."

Hawkstar shrugged, nodding to the Beachclan deputy. "I have no problem with her going first. Good to see you Rockfang, sorry to hear about Jaystar." he greeted with a dip of his head. He knew the older leader was having a hard time, he had poor health and only a few lives left since Burntstar and the fire.
Lightningpaw sent Heronpaw a look, nudging him over but looking away to the Leader's as if it was an accident. He also glanced to Maplepaw, raising his eyebrows curiously. She must be really upset. At least Skylight wasn't angry anymore and Maplepaw would get over it.

Another wave of emotion washed over Toadflight. AquaClan had arrived without Jaystar, so Dawnheart was nowhere in sight, probably because of the fire that had happened. From what he had heard, his mate was safe, for now at least. And so, my kits are safe. he reminded himself. They hadn't been mates for long, but eventually Dawnheart would start to begin expecting kits. Cats of AquaClan would be incredibly confused, because Dawnheart apparently didn't have a mate, yet.
The kits… he thought. …They'll be in more danger than we'll be. Imagine what would happen to them. They'd have mixed blood… He tried to shove all of the thoughts of the AquaClan she-cat and watched Icestar go up onto the Great Rock to share the news of what is happening in BeachClan.

Rockfang dropped her weight to her paws and buckled her legs, making a mighty leap that propelled her to the top of the Greatrock. She took a brief moment to steady herself and the clear her throat before speaking in a voice she hoped was less hoarse. "AquaClan is faring...well. We recently suffered a fire, as you've probably heard, and BeachClan has generously allowed us to stay with them thus far. We are greatful. However, we also had a casualty in the fire and it is with great remorse that I inform you that one of our elders, Faintspot, has joined StarClan." All of the words--with the exception of her final sentence--seemed unreal. She was one of those cats who favored going home as soon as possible. She didn't want to be cooped up with the BeachClanners. "In other news, we have an apprentice who I think will soon be made a warrior and an four kits who will soon be apprenticed." Ending the speech on a lighter note, Rockfang leapt down from the rock to rejoin Hawkstar and Whitestar at its base, causing the latter of the two to flinch.

Icestar dipped her head Rockfang. "Go ahead." she offered. She had quite accouple things to say, but she wouldn't like to go first, she never liked to go first. Her gaze looked at Skylight and Blackleaf, her kits growing strong and wonderful, as she planned. She thought that she could maybe see the light in Blackleaf's eyes as well as Skylight's. His eyes were pale and full of misery.
Browntail sat down, along with Skylight, Blackleaf, and Icestar. They all faced Rockfang, who was ready to speak.

"I'll go next." Hawkstar offered, then with ease leapt onto Great Rock. "I am sorry to hear about Faintspot and I hope Jaystar recovers well. Rainclan is doing very well and will offer assistance to either clan if you should need any." he started, dipping his head to both Rockfang and Icestar. Then he turned back to the surrounding cats. "I also have a warning. A few days ago, two rogues ambushed two of our warriors, injuring them greatly. They attacked me as well. These two cats are dangerous, and though we wounded them, they may be back. Keep an eye out for them." he paused with a frown before smiling. "In other news, we have four new apprentices along with one new warrior, Tussockwind." he said proudly as he ended it, jumping down beside the other leaders.
