Honeyfrost smiled at Owlfoot. He's coming! Her tail flicked from side to side with happiness. "Coppertail!" she called out. Her ginger brother turned his head. He was sitting beneath the rock, watching Rockfang intently. "Honeyfrost," he meowed simply. He recieved a cuff over the ears. "Drop the formality," she teased," Just because we're in different Clans doesn't mean you can't be friendly!" He grimaced and turned back to Rockfang. "Sorry Honeyfrost. I'm really tired and I have alot on my mind." The creamy-gold she-cat pouted. "I brought Owlfoot over here so you two could be friends." He looked at her blankly and smiled mischeivously. He then looked up at the moon, smiling still. "What?! What?!" Honeyfrost cried bouncing around him. "What are you smiling about?!" Coppertail's ears pricked. "Is that Flaxeyes?" he asked, changing the subject. "The prey in FrostClan must be plentiful. She looks rounder." His sister's bright blue eyes widened and she shot off towards the tortoiseshell. Coppertail was left staring blankly after her. "She-cats," he meowed to Owlfoot, rolling his eyes.
Flaxeyes had barely set foot in the clearing before Honeyfrost ran up to her. "Er, yes?" she asked awkwardly. "Kits?!" Honeyfrost asked in a harsh whisper. Flaxeyes whiped her tail over her sister's mouth. "I haven't even told Whitestar yet!" she hissed. Honeyfrost shook her sister's tail off. "Where's Blackpaw?" she demanded. "By the Great Rock. But he's Blackle-" Flaxeyes could barely finish he sentence as he sister had ran off. Again. Shrugging, she decided to go see her brother's. That's if Jaystar had allowed Owlspot to come.
Honeyfrost recognised Blackleaf and Flaxeye's apprentice Skypaw. She didn't recognise the tom they were talking to however, but that didn't matter. She shouldered him out of the way and stood in front of Blackleaf. As a new warrior, he was about the same height as the small she-cat. "Congratulations Blackpaw," she meowed happily. Her eyes danced in the moonlight. She looked as if she was going to turn away but suddenly shoved the young tom onto the ground with a well placed paw. "Do anything to hurt my sister and I will kill you," she hissed, her nose touching his. The words were for his ears only. She smiled cheerfully and bounded away. "Bye Blackpaw!"
"That's great Stormcloud," Desertflower meowed. She meowed a quick greeting to Blackleaf and Skypaw. "Honeyfrost!" she scolded as her neice pushed Stormcloud out of the way. The she-cat paid no attention and ignored her relative's call. "I'm sorry Stormcloud," Desertflower meowed," She can be quite rough at times. Only Wolfheart and Owlfoot appear to be able to put up with her."
Owlspot slunk into the clearing. He glanced around and spotted his siblings, Flaxeyes and Coppertail, chatting with Owlfoot.
Rainlight sat alone and brooding. She watched Blackleaf and Skypaw like a hawk. "Stormcloud, huh?" she murmured to her self. She looked for Quiteshadow but he was away talking to a group of apprentices. I wonder if Quiteshadow knows anything...

Owlfoot blinked before his smile turned awkward. "Y-yeah..." he said, a bit nervous. "I'm Owlfoot," he mewed, eyes glittering slightly. "I...assume your Coppertail." He then turned his attention to the clearing, looking around. The signs of the battle that had occured here had faded, making it appear as if nothing had happened. He sighed and turned his eyes to where Badger had died, wondering if his body was still there.

"Oh!" Sootpaw meowed nervously in response to the AquaClan medicine cat. She wasn't exactly sure what to say. Should I tell them about the badger? It could be a bad idea to share weaknesses with other Clans and such, but will it really hurt if I tell them? "Dawnwhisker has some, erm... business to attend to." She looked down. "Two of our warriors have been injured, but they'll both be alright."
Woodpaw looked around in wonder - he'd never seen so many different cats before. "Wow," he murmured, his fur prickling with excitement. "Hey, Tussockpaw, do you know any of the other apprentices? I wanna meet them!"
"Applesong!" Lightstream scrambled after the RainClan warrior. "Where ya going?" She watched her head toward the group of apprentices, and smiled. She almost wanted to be an apprentice again herself - the responsibility that came with being a warrior often got unnerving.
Duskfur stood at that edge of the clearing, not sure what to do - as usual. He wasn't good with cats from other Clans - he never knew what to say to them. He tried to shrink into the shadows, hoping no cat would approach him.

"Come on, Lightstream," Applesong purred. "I was going to go sit with the apprentices. Aren't they fun to watch?" She turned her head and saw a tortoiseshell tom in the shadows. "Who's he?" she asked. "Do you know him?"
OOC: The tortoiseshell tom is Duskfur.

Stormcloud's eyes filled with a little anger as the she-cat pushed him over. He let out a silent hiss and looked at Blackleaf, his eyes widened. "I'm gonna go talk to Flaxeyes." Blackleaf meowed softly. The large, black tom padded over to his mate. "I'm really sorry, it didn't mean to happen," Blackleaf cried. "Now Starclan is punishing me, but it's a family tradition!" he whispered. His eyes shined in the moonlight. "I'm really sorry." he whispered once more.

Moonstream sighed. More injured warriors...what next? "I'm sorry to hear about that. We have some injured warriors as well. What are their wounds? Maybe I can help." She glanced at Rainlight, who was quiet. "Is everything alright in FrostClan, Rainlight?"

"Your assumption is correct," Coppertail meowed, smiling. "Ah. Here comes my brother and sister. Owlfoot, this is Flaxeyes of FrostClan and Owlspot of AquaClan." "How is all your Clans?" he asked. The cream tom snorted with laughter. "You know fully well how AquaClan is! Quailkit has been accepted and now is Quailpaw. Jaystar will probably announce it." Flaxeyes yawned. "Quailpaw? What about her?" "You will hear soon," Coppertail reassured her. "So what did Honeyfrost want?" he asked, changing the subject. "Oh. Nothing. Just wanted to know if I really was having kits..." Coppertail and Owlspot stared at her in disbelief. "Are you?" the ginger tom demanded. Flaxeyes nodded and smiled. Her siblings congratulated her and covered her cheeks with friendly licks. Honeyfrost suddenly appeared behind Owlfoot. "Isn't it wonderful?" she meowed into his ear. She then followed his gaze across the clearing and frowned. "You're not still worrying about that are you? If you're upset why don't you come with me to the Rogue Nest. I won't go without you."
Flaxeyes turned away from her siblings and Owlfoot as Blackleaf approached. He seemed awfully upset. "What did you do?" she asked, bewildered. "You've done nothing wrong. Why are you sorry?" She nudged him away from the group and moved to the outskirts of the clearing. She just caught Honeyfrost's cold blue eyes.
"Um, there's some new apprentices from BeachClan and AquaClan," he meowed," And there's also Skypaw. Let's go see her!"

"Hello, Moonstream," Quietshadow meowed calmly. "I don't know where she is but we're fine. There were a few minor injuries from it and Icestar got struck by lightning and lost a life right after; apart from that everything is just peachy." He tucked his tail around his paws.
Tigerstripe turned to Doveheart. "Hi, Doveheart. Things are okay, I guess. We had a skirmish with AquaClan after my daughter ran away and then Icestar got struck by lightning. It was awful. The camp smelled like burning flesh for half a day." She grimaced at the memory.
Whitestar anxiously shifted his weight on the Highrock. He was restless and wanted to start so he could return to camp and get some sleep but didn't want to suggest it; Icestar was really intimidating and he was the least senior of the four leaders. The albino tom glanced nervously over at her.

Icestar turned to see Whitestar, "We need to get going!" she meowed into his ear. "How about you go first Whitestar?" she more loudly. She smiled and turned away from him. Blackleaf saw Honeyfrost and rolled his eyes, Can't this she-cat leave us alone for just a minute! he thought. He turned around and smiled and Flaxeyes, Then he looked back at her sister.

The fur on Whitestar's back stood up in shock at her words. "Eheh...okay, Icestar," he replied nervously. He then stepped forward and cleared his throat. Mouse-dung. I'm not really sure how to do this. "Uh, give me your attention, please, everyone. FrostClan is doing well. We had a badger on our territory recently and it attacked a couple of our warriors, but they've recovered. We haven't seen it since. The prey has been running well and the weather has been nice. And...that's it." He stepped back and lowered his voice so that only the other leaders could hear. "Who's going next?"

Moonstream nodded to Quietshadow. "I'm glad their not too bad." She noticed Dawnwhisker's apprentice Sootpaw was rather nervous. "Jaystar refuses to get any better. He won't take any of the herbs I've given him. He's getting worse and worse and he won't slow down. He ignores me. I feel like I'm losing it.. I just hope he listens soon or he might lose another life." She looked back to where the leaders were standing, listening for the news of the other Clans.
Doveheart nodded sympathetically. "I hope it wasn't bad. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter." Her eyes strayed to Applesong, who was looking up at the Great Rock. The FrostClan warrior fell silent as Whitestar announced their news.

Quietshadow frowned. "If he won't get better for himself, maybe he'll get better for his family. Can you make sure he stays for a bit after the Gathering? I'll have Tigerstripe, Thunderpaw, Quailpaw, and Larchpaw stay to talk with him."
Tigerstripe nodded sorrowfully. "Thanks. I'm sure she's alive...just...not in BeachClan. My four other kits have stayed, though. She never really liked it here."

"Alright!" Woodpaw trotted behind Tussockpaw, noticing that his paw still stung every time it hit the ground. It should be better by now, though! What's going on? "So, I guess I'm not the only one at my first gathering, then? I can't wait to meet everyone!" He tried his best to keep the pain from his voice.
Sootpaw was glad that the other medicine cats didn't ask her any more questions. Now I don't need to struggle with what to tell them... She was unsure whether to tell them what the warriors' wounds were like, however - it might cause further inquiries. "Oh, thanks, Moonstream!" She meowed, "But I think Dawnwhisker will be okay with them." She dipped her head quickly.
Lightstream nodded enthusiastically. She loved watching the apprentices - they weren't really all that different from herself when she thought about it. 'Cause they're so grown-up, or 'cause I'm not grown-up enough, I wonder? Heh. When it came to Duskfur, however, she looked at her paws. "He's my brother, actually," she muttered, them looked up more cheerfully. "But the funny thing is, I don't really know him." She laughed a little, and cast a glance in his direction. Seeing his sister's eyes on him, the dark warrior muttered something under his breath and tried to slink off. "His name's Duskfur. He's never talked to me much - I think he's ashamed to be related to me or something." She yawned, and looked back toward the apprentices.

Moonstream shrugged. She turned back to Quietshadow. "Of course. I'm sure Rockfang can lead the Clan back to the camp." The medicine cat sighed, licking her forepaw and bring it over one side of her whiskers. "I hope they can talk some sense into him," she muttered under her breath.
"Well, at least she's happy," Doveheart murmured. I hope... "Everything seems to be fine in FrostClan. Our warriors that were injured are healing well. How's Icestar doing?"

"I hope so," murmured Quietshadow. "He lost six lives at the battle. I treated him. It wasn't pretty and would have been fatal to any other cat. He was bleeding internally so I had to get my paw in there to slow it." He grimaced.
"Pretty well. Quietshadow and Larchpaw--he's the medicine cat apprentice and one of my sons--took care of her. They made a poultice out of this plant with spiky leaves. Her fur was sort of charred but you couldn't tell from very far away because her pelt is black."

Doveheart nodded. The leaders were silent. "That's good. Say congratulations to your kits for me." She glanced back up at the leaders. She lay down, tucking her paws beneath her chest. "There's tension in the air tonight...I expect it's BeachClan and AquaClan, right?"
Moonstream nodded sadly. "Yes, Jaystar's health is failing him." She lowered her voice so the other cats couldn't hear. "I somewhat fear what will happen when he dies. He's a fair leader, and has served the Clan well. Rockfang's a wonderful warrior," she paused, trying to decide what to say next, "but she plunges head first into things. She might-oh how do I say this?-complicate things and jump to conclusions, creating unnecessary battles like Jaystar has done recently..."

Firetail just sat still and waited for the leaders to announce whatever they had to announce. She hadn't really wanted to come to the gathering but she had no choice, considering that she is deputy. She glanced up at the sky. The moon was starting to set. Will the leaders hurry up?! We seriously don't have all night.

Tigerstripe nodded. "I will and it is. Icestar and Jaystar are all for ripping each other's guts out. The rest of us are kind of reluctant to. This is just one big border fight. I personally don't really like unnecessary wars." She gave her paw a lick and glanced up at the Highrock.
Quietshadow sighed. "You could say that. She's very headstrong and reckless. She was always like that, you know. I remember when she was an apprentice--I'd only really see at Gatherings and battles--and she wouldn't hesitate to try and rip off a limb or two. Rockfang never did, but she got pretty close." His meow was barely a whisper as the deputies were sitting right in front of them. "Some things never change."

Owlfoot started and blinked at Honeyfrost. "Yes, it is wonderful," he mewed, smiling. He returned his gaze to the clearing, sighing. "No. I was just wondering if he was still there," he said, his eyes slightly sad. "It won't do much good if there isn't a body to return."

Hawkstar sat on the tree, his tail wrapped around his white paws as he waited for Icestar to go ahead. He glanced to Jaystar, having seen his face when Icestar mentioned he go last. "Jaystar, I shall go last, if that's alright." he said, not sounding like he was being too nice or sympathetic, just that was the way he felt. There need be no unecessary fights at the Gathering. And he didn't mind going last.

Tussockpaw lead Woodpaw over to Skypaw. "Skypaw!" he meowed cheerfully," Remember me? Tussockpaw? This is Woodpaw." He nudged the sandy brown apprentice with his shoulder. "Who's the new BeachClan apprentices?" he asked. He made sure to keep his voice down as Whitestar had began speaking.
Owlspot groaned. "Jaystar and Icestar are at it again," he whispered. "This is seriousily mouse-brained," Coppertail hissed.
"Cheer-up Owlfoot!" Honeyfrost meowed softly," It was kill or be killed. I'm very grateful for what you did." She turned away so he wouldn't be able to see her expression. If he hadn't attacked Badger, I would be in StarClan right now. He saved my life.
Rainlight listened to Whitestar's words and added her own silently. We are also expecting kits with our medicine cat being the father. She glared at the tom who was chatting to Flaxeyes in the shadows. "Fool," she hissed under her breath.

Doveheart nodded silently. "Unneccessary wars happen at times. And Jaystar doesn't look well. He might be taking his pain and illness out on BeachClan for minor things." The black and white warrior got up and stretched. "I wonder why the leaders aren't continuing..."
Moonstream nodded, glancing anxiously at Rockfang. "Yes," she murmured. "I trust her but..." The silver medicine cat fell silent when Rockfang stared at them. She raised her voice, covering up their conversation. "So I suggest marigold mixed with chervil juice for the infection."

Tigerstripe shrugged. "Perhaps they have nothing to say. That can't be, though. Icestar has four new apprentices to announce, as well as the fact that Emberlight is expecting kits." She frowned and flicked her tail.
Quietshadow nodded in agreement with a quick sideways glance at the tortoiseshell deputy. "That will be just the thing," he meowed, carrying on with the fake conversation. "I'll need to go fetch the chervil first, though."

Moonstream nodded. "I usually find chervil near the river, mostly in the reeds..." She stopped the charade as Rockfang's gaze moved from them to the Great Rock. "She sure can make a cat think twice, that's for sure..."

Icestar stood up. "I'll go," she meowed. Hopefully this gathering will be a little quicker..... she thought. She opened her jaw and spoke. "Beachclan is well, we are still recovering from the border fight acouple of nights ago," she began, "but Beachclan are strong. But I'm a little mad about someone leaving the clan off gaurd then going to live with her father! And Jaystar never said a word to us!" she hissed. She turned to Jaystar, waiting for a reply.

Quailpaw smirked at Jaystar's words. He was completely right, of course. Perhaps a certain someone should have made her Clan a little more welcoming. I have every right to leave if I hate the place! As an AquaClanner, she was now free to think what she pleased about her birth Clan without feeling guilty.
"Indeed, indeed," replied Quietshadow. "At first I though she was Rockpaw because of her tortoiseshell pelt, but I was confused as to how she got the name Rockfang. That was before I saw a bite wound she inflicted on one of our warriors a while back. There was blood everywhere and he had a two-season layup because of it."

Sootpaw was glad the conversation had turned to murmuring about Jaystar and Rockfang - no more worrying about the badger. If Hawkstar wanted the other clans to know, he'd tell them when he made his announcement. As the discussion continued, however, her mind began to drift. She hoped Wolfheart really would be alright - that scratch had looked awful. And Spottedfrost... she was her sister. She didn't want to see anything bad happen to her. Should she have stayed to help Dawnwhisker instead of coming to the gathering? When Moonstream mentioned the marigold and chervil, however, her ears pricked up a little. "Chervil and... marigold? For infection? I'll try to remember that, too." Could be useful!
"Skypaw! Hillo!" Woodpaw tried to dip his head to the black-and-white cat respectfully, but bonked his chin against the ground, almost tumbling over but catching his balance just in time. He glanced up at her, embarrassed. "Oh, um, sorry." He looked at his paws, then dipped his head again, this time succeeding in the gesture. "So, there are BeachClan apprentices who are new too?" He meowed, trying to change the subject.
Lightstream glanced up sadly at the rock. Quailkit... or Quailpaw now? Is that who they're talking about? So she really did leave... And if it's her, that means she's Jaystar's... She sighed, trying to force away the selfish sense of longing that grasped her. She knew she'd get another apprentice eventually, but remembered how excited she'd been when she first discovered that the young grey she-cat was to be her apprentice. She'd liked her a lot, she realized - she'd wanted to be her friend. But we weren't... I wasn't... enough for her? No... She shook her head and looked back to Applesong and the apprentices they were watching - she knew that wasn't what Jaystar was saying. Why did she even let herself think that way?
Duskfur noticed a few cats glancing toward him - that black-and-white FrostClan she-cat had at least once, anyway. He remembered meeting her at gatherings before, but couldn't remember her name - Dove-something. Looks like the leaders are talking. Better see what they have to say... He slunk forward slowly, looking down and hoping no cat would pay attention to him.
