Heart pounding, as though it would bump right out of her chest; "Starclan guide me!" she thought hard, paws working faster than ever before. Her anticipation was decreasing; as she was eager to return back to camp before dawn. Thornpaw would need training since his Warrior ceremony was only a couple moons away.
The large pond which distinguished the Moonpool was right up ahead and her speed began to fade into a slow rythmatic pattern, nervous yet excited.
Gazing into the calm; clear water, which shone back her beautiful appearance, the stars of Silverpelt shown brightly, and it soothed the tabby cat. Positioning herself into a crouch whilst she pressed her nose softly into the water; she drifted off into a deep slumber, having nobody around to disturb her rest.
She opened her eyes, to reveal two deep, striking silver eyes as she peered around; a unfamiliar scent wafting in the air.
It reminded her of serenity, but she couldn't put her claw on it, Something was off about it, surely, Though she knew it was of FrostClan.
"Secrets, maybe?" Oceanstorm wondered, hoping to be told everything she needed to fulfill FrostClan's destiny.
"Hello?" she meowed, her voice echoing for a second as if the forest trees were metallic bases which could send back the things you said.
A she-cat; who had a pelt the color of midnight; turned to stare into Oceanstorm's eyes; her icy blue ones interlocking with Oceanstorm's glittering silver ones. And that's when she had been told everything.
Not by words, but by the silent tranfer of eye contact?
Suddenly, many cats appeared around her. A loud voice, booming but clear, spoke to her. It sounded like many cats' voices that she had known into one, but it only sounded as though one voice was speaking.
"Welcome, Oceanstorm. Are you ready to recieve
your nine lives as leader of your Clan?"
One by one, nine cats she had known that had passed onto StarClan came forth, and each in turn gave her a life: courage, justice, loyalty to what is right, tireless energy, protection, mentoring, compassion, love, and nobility, certainty, and faith, each telling her to use it powerfully and wisely.
All fear of StarClan's disapproval, unknown until this moment, dissolved quickly until it was not there anymore.
Awakening, Oceanstar looked into the Moonpool once more, before turning to journey back to her own Clan. A new determination, stronger than anythingknown to cat and pulsing in her veins as vividly as blood, she knew this would be a great age for FrostClan.
