{{I hope this won't interfere with the med. cat meeting D: Order of ceremony}} Whitefire padded through the fern bushes surrounding the Moonpool. A cool breeze was blowing over the Moonpool, and he was cold. The leader fluffed up his long white pelt. It didn't help much. Was it supposed to be this cold in late new-leaf? Another thing clouding his mind was the idea of leaving behind his life as Whitefire behind forever and beginning a new chapter as Whitestar. He shuddered and continued on. After what seemed like endless seasons (but was really only minute or two), he arrived at the Moonpool's edge. Now what do I do? Whitefire racked his brain for an answer. Then he remembered coming to the Moonpool under another alias: Whitepaw. Drink the water. Duh. He shook his head and trotted up to the pool's edge. Whitefire sat down. He took a deep breath and plunged his muzzle into the liquid. It too was cold. And yet, it felt so good.....He gulped water until he couldn't drink anymore. Whitefire lied down at the bank, stretched out, and was almost instantly asleep.

Morningstar let out a loud purr. Her body was faded. There was mist forming into the pool. The water became warm. She was still purring. She waved her tail to show the Starclan cats to join her in the misty pool. "Whitefire, your leader has died. And you must take her place!" She meowed loudly. Oceanstar and Amberstar walked into the warm water. Their bodies were faded too. The two she-cats let out loud purrs also. "Whitefire, you were a good deputy, now take my place!" Amberstar meowed. "Lead, lead, lead your clan!" Oceanstar yowled.

The white, translucent, starry figures of Snowfur and Icefoot slunk into the pool from rocks nearby. "Hello, Whitefire," Snowfur purred. "I thought that we wouldn't see you again until you died. Guess I was wrong." She smiled, light blue eyes twinkling in the moonlight. Icefoot looked more or less like Whitefire. The only difference is that his pelt was short and well-groomed rather than long and messy. "I've missed you, son. You must not remember me too well." "Sorry to be blunt, but I don't." He smiled nervously.

Rainlight watched as her deputy, soon to be leader, drank from the water. She smiled up at the stars above and lowered her gaze to watch their reflections on the water. Through the mist an apprentice came bounding. Her light gold fur was similiar to that of the RainClan warrior Honeyfrost and the apprentice Tussockpaw. She was was well built and muscular with wide amber eyes. Stars were splattered across her pelt, shimmering as she moved. Even in death, Sunpaw was just as excited as ever. A narrow head broke through the wall of mist, followed by a long slender body. His short fur was a pale grey, white hairs appearing in his pelt here and there. The stars along him were barely visble, just a faint sprakle. With his blue eyes and long whiskers Fogstar was noble and regal as any well-bred kittypet. He carried an air of authority about him and he sat down next to the other cats. He glanced at Whitefire and his serious expression broke as he winked at the white tom. Broad shouldered with a large head, Hayfur resembled her son Burntstar. Her pelt was a chaotic mess of ginger, yellow, brown, black and stars. Her scent was gentle, her gold eyes gleaming pride. The AquaClan took her place beside the other StarClan warriors.

Icefoot nodded respectively as the other StarClan cats trooped in. Snowfur crouched down and tucked her paws under her chest, watching them. "Almost all of them are here," she whispered to Icefoot. "We just need Silverpaw before we can begin." He blinked in a serious manner, one which Whitefire did definitely not have. Whitefire himself flicked his tail in greeting to the strange cats. He did not remember--nor had he ever known--any of the cats sitting in the area in front of him, save for his family and FrostClan's former leaders. "Hello."

Morningstar purred signaling everyone to stay calm. She padded up to Whitefire. The former Beachclan leader licked the top of his white head. "Welcome, Whitestar!" she purred. Amberstar and Oceanstar walked up to the white leader. "Whitestar! Whitestar!" they echoed. Morningstar flung her tail up high. She showed the cats to stay silent. Amberstar nodded. Oceanstar just let out a small, quiet hiss. She didn't like Morningstar.

Icefoot frowned, glancing at the three ex-leaders. "You know, you're not supposed to call him Whitestar yet," he whispered, trying to sound friendly. Snowfur whispered something in her father's ear and he nodded in agreement. "I think we can start," she suggested in a quiet mew.

Silverpaw quickly padded over to Morningstar."Sorry I am late." she whispered. She dipped her head to Whitefire."We can start now." she quietly meowed to Morningstar.

Fogstar looked to Whitefire. "Are you ready to recieve your nine lives?" he asked.
Sunpaw, seeing Whitefire's eagerness, smiled and padded forward regardless. She sat in front of Whitefire and touched noses with him. "With this life I give you words," she meowed," Use it well to soothe ruffled pelts caused by harsh comments." Whitefire received his first life with a deafening roar of meows. It was impossible to make out what they were saying, just the tones they used. There were gentle murmurs of reassurance. Playful cries and words of praise. Authoritive, serious, frightened, sad, mourning. They were all there. All the words Sunpaw had heard over the 7 moons of her short life. She pulled away the voices faded away. She bounded back to the line of cats and took her place beside Silverpaw.

"Yes, I'm ready," he mewed, voice excited and nervous at the same time. As Sunpaw spoke, a roaring chorous of sound greeted him. There were so many voices...it was as if all StarClan, all infinity, had been unleashed upon him, each speaking in a different way. He was too deafened by this roar that he barely noticed the bolt of pain shooting through his veins. It wasn't very severe, just oh, oh so...strange. His body was flooding with the wisdom and knowledge and the everything that Sunpaw had said. Overwhelmed, Whitefire nearly fell down, only to catch himself by his white paws. The leader was the only cat in StarClan whose pelt wasn't twined with a fabric of stars.

Silverpaw padded over to Whitefire and like Sunpaw, touched noses with him."With this life I give you justice,"she meowed,"Use it well as you judge the actions of your clan." Whitefire received his second life with a bolt of energy and memories flashing before him of battles, blood spilling, and cats yowling. As she pulled away and padded back to the line of cats the memories started to fade away. Silverpaw took her place again next to Sunpaw.

Whitefire stumbled again, this time eyes squeezed shut, he couldn't breathe, he couldn't see but yet he was seeing, oh, how could this be happening...? The bolt of energy invoked a sense of urgency, he knew if he had to rule a Clan there had to be some action taken for disobedience, and it was so confusing... He stumbled. Again, it was not so much the pain that shook him as that the realizations that it brought. He felt more aggressive, stronger, more powerful. He felt like a leader. Shaking, Whitefire managed to steady himself with his furry tail. He stood with legs bent, as if ready to pounce. Yet his stance was open at the same time. His muscles were quivering and he looked skinnier than normal, even with his fluffed-up pelt. Great StarClan!

Fogstar padded forward, his expression serious again. He touched noses with Whitefire in the gesture of giving life. "With this life I give you energy," he meowed," Use it well when serving your duties as Clan leader." Wind ruffled Whitefire's fur as if he was running. The life contained the power of his muscles, the feeling of his body propelling itself forward. The forest blurred past him, it was if he could forever and never get tired. It was exhilarating.

Whitefire could feel his fur blowing with the life. He was running yet standing still. It felt pretty good, to tell the truth. Already being an on-the-go sort of cat, more energy would certainly be something FrostClan needed. His muscles tensed as the life had been poured into him and the feeling left. He felt shaky again. Why couldn't all of his lives be like that?

Fogstar pulled away and padded back to the other cats. The queen resembling Burntstar broke from the circle and stodd in front of Whitefire. She touched noses with him before meowing. "With this life I give you protection. Use it well to care for your Clan as a mother who cares for her kits." A bolt of fury rushed through Whitefire. It was the feeling that he would jump in front of a monster, take on a badger or maybe even a whole Clan aslong his kits were safe. It was Hayfur's desire to protect her kits and love them unconditionally even though they now all lived outside their birthclan. It was furious emotion which didn't fade until Hayfur pulled away and joined the other cats again.

Whitefire staggered once more. This life had the most pain of any so far. There was no distraction. The accompanying thoughts seemed to intensify the bolt. He thought of all the creatures roaming the forest, all the rogues prowling the borders with intent to kill. He realized something that he had never really thought of before: I will die for my Clan.

Icefoot slunk from his place in the circle up to Whitefire. He exhaled, touched Whitefire's nose, and began to speak. "With this life I give you bravery. Use it to help your Clan in facing the impossible." Whitefire nearly fell over with the impact of this life. The pain of all the warriors gone before him seared through his body and the courage that they had embodied before joining the ranks of StarClan. He was sweating under his pelt and the pain only began to fade as Icefoot rejoined the other cats.
Snowfur left the others and took the spot where Icefoot had so recently been standing. She turned to face her brother and touched her pink nose to his. "With this life I give you motivation. Use it to help your Clan get the necessary done...and to keep yourself from sleeping all day," she finished with a wink. With this life Whitefire felt awake. The pain was energizing one. He felt the drive to not only get on with life in general as a leader, as well as an incredibly mundane thought: I should organize a patrol when I get home.

Oceanstar padded up to the new leader and touched noses with him. "With this, I give you honesty," she purred, giving Whitefire a small ball of light. It floated aomg his face. "Eat it!" she purred. Then she padded back to the crowd of Starclan cats, she signaled Morningstar to go. Morningstar stepped forward and let out a strong purr. "You will take the clan far and with amazment. With this, I shall give you flexability, give yourself the strength your fighting skills to a new level." she purred, touching noses with the white tom. She stepped back and brushed her delicate coat against Amberstar. Amberstar padded up to Whitefire with a dead mouse. "With this, I give you leadership," she began, "you can take your leadership and help show Frostclan has regained its strength. Lead!" The sparkling she-cat gave the leader the mouse. "Whitestar! Whitestar! Whitestar!" she meowed softly.

Whitefire blinked. "Uh..." None of the other cats had given him anything. There was definitely something skewed about that life. And since when had Morningstar ever been honest? There was really no bolt of pain with her life because Whitefire didn't really do anything.
He cocked his head. None of the other leaders had given him any physical traits. "Amberstar, weren't you supposed to go last?" he asked incredulously. He felt his hind paw touch his belly as he took a step back--clearly it didn't do that before.
Whitefire looked down at the dead mouse. He wasn't really in any mood to eat. The lives had made him nauseous. "Ugh." He sat down. Something was missing. He felt empty, even as he heard the slightly bewildered yowls of Icefoot and Snowfur: "WHITESTAR! WHITESTAR!"
