Jaystar took his place for the gathering. "Where is Amberstar?" He asked the other leaders, flicking his tail. He was shaking, trying to stop, but he was too nervous, and his voice wouldn't stop shaking. He noticed the rogues watching him carefully especially Burntstar.
Deadwhisker watched the rogues silently. He waited for his leader to give the signal.

The rogues cannot be seen. They've covered their scents and hidden quiet a bit back. Badger is at a loock out point. He's the only one who can actually see the cats. Owlspot will alert Badger who will alert Cactus and thus start the battle. Jaystar will see Owlspot flick his tail and follow his gaze to where Badger is. The running pawsteps will alert everyone.
I need Icestar, Amberstar, Bones, Rockeh {rocky} and Lauri to post.
Can someone ask Amberstar if she will be posting? If she can't be active we might need to kill off another leader. -grimace-
I've emailed Lauri and I'll go email Rockeh now.

Badger narrowed his eyes, getting impatient. They were taking too long to calm themselves down and his muscles were beginning to cramp. It was a good thing Owlspot chose a place to sit where he could actually see the cat. He tried hard not to growl, knowing full well that silence was necessary.

Owlspot squirmed uncomfortably. "I think we should start the Gathering now Jaystar. There's no point waiting. If they come they come," he meowed. Owlspot was pleased that his voice didn't betray him as it remained still and calm. His usual emotionless tone.
Rainlight heard Owlspot's words and nodded. "We've seen nothing to show that they're here," she meowed," Whitefire, since Amberstar didn't join us feel free to speak on FrostClan's behalf."

"Has anyone seen Amberstar?" Jaystar's voice quivered as he asked the crowd. "We must start the gathering" He flicked his tail nervously "Icestar, you may start" He nodded to the Beachclan leader, clearly not wanting to speak.

Whitefire shuddered nervously. "Okay," he meowed. The white tom gave an almightly leap and managed to land his front paws on the rock. He quickly scrambled up with his hind legs, head lifted high as he pretended to have some dignity left. Only the other FrostClan cats would find this funny.
Rockfang looked at Owlfoot and Honeyfrost. "If they try to kill me, I'll kill them back." She glanced up at Whitefire struggling up on the Greatrock with a slight frown on her face. The AquaClan deputy was unaware that Stone was watching from behind a remote gorse bush.

Owlfoot gained a bit of a depressed look at Rockfang's response, personally not wanting to see any cat hurt, rogue or clan. He lifted his head, eyes landing on Whitefire. Odd. He hadn't even noticed Amberstar was missing. Maybe he should pay more attention.

Icestar padded into Fourtrees with most of her warriors. She noticed a lot of cats seemed to be afraid. She scanned the clearing. She noticed her mother. She padded up to her and opened her jaws.
"Sh! We shall be with you till death." she whispered.
Icestar nodded. She looked around and padded up to Jaystar. "Starclan is with us all the way threw. Amberstar is coming and I'm sure of it. I smelled her sent." she meowed. "Burntstar is near." she whispered.
Deadsoul blinked his one eye. I know this isn't the right desision but it's the only way to get respect.
Skypaw sat quietly swinging her tail back and foruth. Blackpaw had herbs in his jaws with cobwebs all around his tail. "Remember, I'm here with you." she whispered. He pushed his nose into her flank. "Thanks" she murmured.
Redwind smelled her brother. "Oh no," she meowed. She closed her eyes then look for Owlspot. She didn't see him.
Shadowpaw rapped herself with all sorts of herbs. She new a lot and she was there to show her loyalty to her clan. She tried to stay hiddedn.
Icestar jumped up onto the Great Rock. "Lets b-begin." she stampered.

"Okay, Icestar!" Whitefire mewed in his normal kitlike tone. "Amberstar hasn't showed up--again--so I'm representing us tonight. We don't know what's--sorry, I'll let you talk." Embarassed, he shuffled farthest back among the row of other leaders.
Tigerstripe sighed and glanced up at Jaystar among the others on the Greatrock. She was bored with the Gathering, but it would be her last one for quite a while.

Owlfoot closed his eyes, awaiting the leaders to begin, he relaxed slightly, a familiar scent wafting on the breeze. It smelt like Robinclaw, but the smell was dampened by mud and trees, almost as if his brother had been rolling around in it before he had died.

Icestar nodded to Morningstar. "Starclan are here to protect you all, Stoneclaw, sunpaw, myself and a lot more Starclan members." Morningstar meowed. She new only cats who really believed in Starclan can only see her but it was worth a shot. Icestar looked at Blackpaw and Skypaw. Was this the last this the last time I get to see them

Rockfang licked her paw. She wanted to ask whether they were planning on starting soon, but did not want to provoke the wrath of the other leaders. Even the bellicose AquaClan deputy thought it would be stupid to start a war with the Clans over her being rude at a Gathering.
Quietshadow blinked and looked up at the leader. "Icestar," he mewed in a hushed tone, "the cats are getting restless. Will we start soon?"

Hawkstar nodded in agreement at Jaystar's words. "Yes, Icestar, you start. You're more experienced than me and Jaystar's a little on edge. And it seems Amberstar has yet to arrive." he said, his eyes glancing over to Whitefire questioningly.
Wolfheart padded up beside Owlfoot, smiling comfortingly to the new deputy. It seemed nothing fazed the tom, not even the dark feeling that all the cats were feeling. "Don't look so panicked Owlfoot, you're the new deputy, you need to show courage and pride to other clans and our own." he said quietly, giving a small piece of friendly advice.
Rainfeather glanced at her leader, feeling his anxiety. She gave a small sympathetic smile. He knew he was worried about the threat of Burntstar and such. She glanced around the gathering. It seemed he wasn't the only one.

Icestar nodded. "Well, to start this gathering, I am going to start and we all know what is coming and we know rouges are easedropping." she growled.
She looked at Silverpelt then at the Starclan warriors. She looked down then at the crowd again. "Beachclan has noting else to say, speaking that Starclan is silent." she meowed looking at the Starclan group.

Owlfoot smiled at Wolfheart. He understood what the other tom was saying, but the feeling of dread still weighed heavily on the new deputy's heart. And what was scarier was the fact he'd only been deputy for two days.

"What?!" yelped Tigerstripe angrily. Of course, she wanted to help BeachClan show off the fact that they were going to be the first Clan since leaf-bare to have any new kits.
Whitefire looked at Hawkstar. Since he was a "substitute" for the leader of FrostClan, he thought that he should speak last.
Quietshadow twitched his whiskers in alarm. "Rogues?" he whispered to himself. The black tom looked wildly around for any sign of them.

Hawkstar stepped forward then, looking down at his clanmates and other clan cats. "Rainclan is as strong as ever, probably stronger. I may be new to being a leader, but I will defend my clan with tooth and claw. And I'm sure that is the same for every cat here!" he finished, more yowls echoing after his own. He stepped back, letting Whitefire step forward, looking at the surrounding trees with searching blue eyes.

Jaystar, still shaking padded up to speak on behalf of Aquaclan. He looked around, his nervous blue gaze spread over the clans. His whiskers twitched nervously, knowing something had to happen soon. "There is nothing to report in Aquaclan, Starclan have been silent" He said after long moments of pause.

Whitefire took a deep breath and began to speak. "FrostClan is prospering. We're not the biggest Clan or anything, but we have more than enough prey and we're all friends. So I guess that we're strong with our unity and all." He flicked his tail. "Nothing else that I'm aware of...has StarClan said anything, Rainlight?" FrostClan was far, far behind the times; especially so after Oceanstar's death.

Owlfoot was one of the only cats who didn't yowl, his heart still heavy with the thoughts of death flitting in his mind. Did the other's feel it? Or was it just his imagination messing with his still nervous brain? Probably the latter, but the former seemed obvious with the looks of nervous fear in some of the other cats' eyes.

Owlspot looked around, the tip of his tail twitching to the side as he turned his gaze to where Badger lay hidden. He could almost FEEL the terrible grin that played across the larger tom's face, mentally shuddering.
Badger's tail swished roughly to the side, his eyes wild as he stood slowly. Cactus would have seen his signal and have alerted the others. It would only be a few seconds before he charged in and tasted the sweet, luxorious tast of fresh blood, tasted its tantalizing smell as it stained the air and ground with its scarlet hide. So soon. So soon. He need only wait.
