((More Rainclan cats =D))
Hawktalon was making his way up through the throng of cats to sit close to Great Rock. As he brushed by two cats, he spotted to figures he wanted to talk to. "Hey Orchidtail, Faunus, everything alright so far?" he asked warmly, coming up beside the tom and smiling. He glanced around for a moment, seeing Icestar and Jaystar, but no Oceanstar or Amberwood. Where were they? He thought of his old leader, Blizzardstar, thinking about what he would tell the other clans. He sighed, shaking his head and looking back to Orchidtail and Faunus.
Wolfheart padded into the clearing slowly, taking in all the sights and scents. Some cats tried to hide it, but you could pratically feel how on edge the cats were. And why should they not be? With Burntstar and other rogues around and so much happening within each clan. He spotted his deputy, Hawktalon, talking to Orchidtail and Faunus. And Tawnyfeather was already out socializng with other cats. He padded up to her brother, Adderstrike, sitting down beside him. "I'm the same age as her, and I grew up with her and even still, I feel like an elder when I see how much energy she has." he joked lightly, nodding towards the tom's sister, a warm smile on his face and his eyes friendly. |

Icestar stepped foward. "Hawlaton, where is your leader?" she meowed. "Are you going to be here for her tonight. If so join us up here," she meowed. She nodded to the other clan cats and leaders,
"Anyone know where Burnstar is?" she meowed.

"Let's hope he doesn't show up" Jaystar's voice quivered and he started to shake with fear. "I d-don't like the idea of him comming to our gatherings" He tried to keep his voice steady
"Kill Jaystar?" Silentmask meowed stunned "But...Why?" He asked Tigestripe.

"I don't either," mewed Rockfang to herself dismissively.
Tigerstripe shrugged. "Because they're evil and want power over the forest, I guess. I don't really want to go ask him, you know?" As she replied to Silentmask, she was looking up at the leaders, pretending to pay attention.

Coppertail looked up to face his leader. "Burntstar won't come unless he's invited. He's exiled remember."
Flaxeyes nodded at her brother's words. "Owlspot may know where he is!" she called out.
"Do we even want him here?" Rainlight asked aloud.
Faunus nudged Hawktalon gently. "Go up," he meowed," You're representing the clan from now on."
Orchidtail gave him an encouraging smile. "We'll be fine," she meowed.
Tussockpaw and Maplepaw padded over to where Blackpaw stood. "Hello," Maplepaw meowed shly.
She had seen the medicine cat's at moonpool and had heard their voices. She was cautious around them now. Tussockpaw was more out front however. "My name's Tussocpaw. You're Blackpaw right? Are you really going to be a medicine cat. We don't have a medicine cat. She ran away. But we have a rouge. Do you have a rogue?"
"Shhh!" squealed Maplepaw, leaping on her brother," They don't know about Faunus!"

Scatter walked arogantly through the crowd of cats, identifying scents of cats she had seen before. There was the Frostclan warrior she had followed, there was the elder who had chased her away from the Rainclan camp when she was just a kit. Suddenly, she saw someone she knew quite well. Faunus.
Padding over to him, she pressed her nose against his shoulder.
"Whats going on?"
Fleetclaw watched the crowd nervously. He didnt like that there were rouges at the gathering. They had always made him anxious, and he had a feeling something bad was going to happen.
He caught a glimpse of Flaxeyes, and decided that it would be better to not be alone. He stretched, and followed her through the crowd.
"Flaxeyes, wait up!"

Hawktalon looked once more for Blizzardstar, wishing she was here instead, but he knew that wouldn't happen. It was all him tonight. He nodded to Icestar in aknowledgement, glancing back at Faunus and Orchidtail. He was glad for their encouragement and he let out a low, rusty purr to show his gratefulness before he turned and headed towards the other Leaders. He sat down under Great Rock, next to Jaystar. He tried to keep his expression calm and confident, not wanting to show his nervousness. He was representing his clan now, he didn't want to screw up. 'Stormheart help me.' he whispered quietly to himself, glancing up at the stars. |

Faunus turned as he picked up Scatter's scent. "Scatter!" he purred happily, licking her ear.
Orchidtail looked at Scatter curiousily. So this was the rogue Faunus kept talking about.
"Scatter, may I introduce to you Orchidtail and Hawktalon. My friends," Faunus meowed indicating each cat with his tail. Orchidtail dipped her white head in respect. "Pleased to meet you," she meowed.
"Where is Smokey...Smoketalon?" he asked her as he remembered the grey and white tabby.
"Oh, hello Fleetclaw!" Flaxeyes meowed as the paranoid cat joined her. "Have you seen Owlspot?" she asked him," I fear that Jaystar may of hurt him..."
"Pff," snorted a voice. Flaxeyes turned to face the spotted and striped face of her brother. "Owlspot!" she squealed, licking his head. Owlspot wiggled away and hid behind Fleetclaw. "Who's your friend?" he asked.

Icestar jumed onto the rock. She glance to the leaders to show that she would like to go first.
She stepped forward. "All clan cats!" she started. "I can see that Burnstar hasn't been seen, but we all know that he will show up soon. Starclan has showed us many pictures of dead cats with rouges and Burnstar leaning over them, so, I say we should prepair now!" she meowed. She nodded to the other cats on the rock, "I would like to ask if you would all like to join me and trying to defeat Burnstar and join together?" she asked calmly. "And also, our new deputy is Coppertail," she meowed at last.

"Agreed, Icestar," Rockfang mewed grimly, yet again to herself. Whitefire was pawing at an ant in the dirt. Quietshadow gave a quick nod; Tigerstripe coughed--again--and continued trying to pay attention to the leaders. Get over already! She wanted the Gathering to end quickly so she could talk to Jaystar afterwards.

Hawktalon nodded to Icestar, then took a hesitant step forward. He took a deep breath, the spoke, his voice coming out more confident and sure then he felt himself. "It is true, we have seen no signs of Burntstar in Rainclan. Even so, we have gone through some hard times. You may be wondering why I am up here instead of our leader, Blizzardstar." he took a breath before continuing, his dark blue gaze looking over all the cats. "Blizzardstar is dead. We found her in her den a few days ago, close to Starclan. She died of a mysterious illness, we could do nothing." he lowered his head in respect slightly, and when he raised it again, his eyes were bright with pride and courage. "I am the new leader of Rainclan and tomorrow I will go and recieve my nine lives from Starclan and become Hawkstar." He said, glancing at Orchidtail and Faunus with a nod. "But more important news, Silvercreek has left us, and we have the reason why. At our last Gathering, as you know, Rainclan did not attend. Orchidtail and I were out hunting and we ran across a loner you all know, Faunus. He was badly hurt from being attacked by a cat. This same cat is responsible for Silvercreek leaving." he narrowed his eyes towards Honeyfrost before looking back at Faunus. "Faunus, could you tell us what happened to you?" |

Tigerstripe blinked nervously under Icestar's gaze. Hopefully the leader wasn't on to her. At that moment she coughed loudly again. Quietshadow turned around.
"You okay?" he mewed.
"I'm fine," Tigerstripe meowed, sniffing. "I have a cold, that's all."
The medicine cat raised an eyebrow. "I think whitecough might be setting in. As soon as we get back, I'll give you something for it."
She nodded and resumed her feigned appearance of paying attention.

Icestar nodded. She glared at the cat. "So, what happen?" she declared.
She looked up at Silverpelt. Oh Morningstar, please save us, kill Burnstar and send him to the land of no stars. Please!" Her thought trailed off.
"Here I'll talk after the gathering," Blackpaw whispered to the other apprentices.

Faunus nodded to Hawktalon and padded over to the Great Rock. Orchidtail touched his flank in reassurance with her nose. Silently she pushed her way through the crowd to where Honeyfrost stood. Her head was down and her eyes were closed. "I thought I was helping," she murmured," I really did." Meanwhile, her siblings, Flaxeyes and Owlspot, stood cheering for their brother.
Faunus cleared his throat and began his story. "My name is Faunus as you already know. I'm a loner, kittypet, rogue and clan cat. Yes, all of them. A moon ago I was hunting by the abandoned two-leg place when I was attacked by a RainClan warrior. Yes, I was on clan territory and she had the right to attack me. But it was the middle of the night when most cats should be sleeping and defending the clan wasn't on her mind. A few moons ago Silvercreek told her story about her past. About Mason, Aqua and Risingpaw. The cat who attacked me wanted to know if I knew where Mason was. I did. I refused to tell her so she attacked me again. I fought back. She had me pinned down on the ground by the stream. She would slash my throat and let me drown. So I told her. I told her where they lived now. Pleased, she simply chased me off into the Marsh where I hid in total fear."
"But who was it?" asked Rainlight.
"Honeyfrost," Faunus replied loudly.
"No!" yowled Flaxeyes.
"Why?" Coppertail exclaimed," Why?"
"I thought I was doing the right thing!" Honeyfrost yowled out. Orchidtail silenced her with a flick of her tail. The she-cat shrank back into the shadows.
"When I was taken to RainClan camp I was informed by my rescuers that their medicine cat had left and hadn't returned. Honeyfrost admitted to telling Silvercreek where her family was and she said she had tried to convince her not to leave permently."
"Honeyfrost...why?" Owlspot sighed.
Rainlight nodded,"So that's why no one from RainClan came to the moonpool..."
Faunus looked up at Hawktalon. "What about Smoketalon?" he whispered.

Tawnyfeather slipped through the crowd until she reached her brother's side. He glanced at her, but it was a guarded look. Tawnyfeather suppresed a sigh, wishing her brother could just get over his reserved timidness. Did he have to be so agitatedly careful around every cat? She flicked her tail tip, but said nothing, and only settled down in the grass beside Adderstrike to once again listen to the Gathering.
Adderstrike felt a familair stab of grief as Hawktalon announced Blizzardstar's death. Next to him, he felt Tawnyfeather's soft pelt shiver, and he glanced at her. He was surprised to see an excited gleam in her eyes-- and something else? Her gaze was fixed intently on Hawktalon, glimmering and hopeful. Adderstrike felt his pelt prickle cautiously. Was Tawnyfeather thinking about becoming deputy herself? He had never known for his sister to long for the position of deputy, only to be a good warrior. Maybe he just hadn't been looking.

Icestar growled at Honeyfrost. "How was it the right thing! Now you don't have a medicine cat! If your going to act like a apprentice, oh, if you were in my clan, you'd be treated like a apprentice." she spat. "But, you are a good warrior, so you shouldn't be punished hardly. So you should be happy that Starclan is with us you should try and find another medicine cat." She meowed. "And what about Rosethorn," she meowed.

Rockfang cleared her throat. "If I may speak, Icestar, Rosethorn was out gathering herbs about a quarter-moon ago. She did not return immediately. A patrol was sent to look for her. Yesterday, we found blood stains in a no-cat's-land; there was a lot of fox scent nearby. We suspect that that's what killed her." The deputy bowed her head briefly in honor of the fallen medicine cat.
ooc: I thought that Blizzardstar fell off a cliff. D=

Jaystar lowered his head in sorrow. He had sent out many patrols to find his medicine cat. "Rosethorn was an honored medicine cat throughout the clans" He added as he surpressed a mrrow of greif. Then Jaystar remembered the prophecy Morningstar had given him. /Watch for Smoke and Sun/ He shivered. He knew he was in danger.

Jaystar meowed in agreement. "I did scent something funny downstream of the river" He meowed "It was the scent of a dead carcass. Just a hint of rogues" Jaystar's voice quivered, and he wondered if the rest of the clans could tell of his anxiety of Burntstar "I think they're might have been a murder" He meowed trying to remain calm.

"Was it a Clan cat's?" asked Quietshadow, with a touch of anxiety in his voice. "If it was a rogue it would be less serious."
"Best if it was one of his cats who got killed," added Rockfang. She unsheathed her claws and quickly sheathed them again.

"I don't know if it was a clan cat or a rogue. I'm not sure" Jaystar shook his head "It might matter if it were a rogue" He mewed sounding a little more terrified "What if the dead rogue knew something about the clan? What if he was going to tell the other rogues a secret that the killer knew about the clans?" Jaystar suddenly felt a little light-headed. "I-I don't feel so great" He murmered to Rockfang.

"If it was a secret the rogue knew about the Clans, it's a good thing that he's dead," Rockfang replied, failing to see Jaystar's logic. "We have plenty of time to worry about it later."
Tigerstripe blinked. A dead cat near AquaClan territory? What did that mean?

Jaystar's shook his head to clear his thoughts. "I'm sorry, forgive me for rambling on" He meowed to the clans. He looked up at the moon. The sky was clear, except for maybe a sliver of a black cloud. His head started to throb with pain, and Jaystar gritted his teeth.

"This gathering is over, May Starclan be with us," she meowed.
She hopped down from the rock.

"We'll need it more than ever, Icestar." Quietshadow stood and stretched. He padded over to Icestar, preparing to leave for BeachClan camp. "Tigerstripe, are you coming?"
"Yeah," she replied. "I just have to talk with...someone."
The medicine cat nodded and did not pursue a further answer.
Rockfang nodded at Jaystar's words and slunk over to the other AquaClan warriors for a quick chat before they departed. Whitefire bounded over to the other FrostClan cats as well. Tigerstripe turned around to face Jaystar.
"H--hi," she mewed. The warrior could feel her pelt growing warm.

"Tigerstripe, I want to ask you something, but not here" He looked around the fourtrees "Meet me in a couple minutes while I take my clan home" He thought "I'll meet you at the herb field" Jaystar finally decided "Rockfang, Let's go!" He called to his deputy "I'll see you later" He waved his tail goodbye

"Let us go home," she meowed. She flicked her tail. Cats started to come to her to go back home. "Beachclan, Lets go!" she meowed.
