Faunus snorted, "There's only like a large barn filled with field mice."
Smoketalon relaxed slightly and began to speak to his ex-clan mate. "What happened to your eye and why are you a rogue now?" he asked cautiousily.
Faunus nudged Scatter gently and whispered in her ear. "I scent a fresh-killed mouse. We better just give it to him and send him on his way."

"Okay, i'll go get it," she whispered back, and followed the scent to the dead mouse. She found it quickly, picked it up, and brought it back. She dropped it a Faunus's paws.
"You give it to him. I dont like his scent."

Deadsoul looked at the cats. "Well, I lost it because of what I did, I caused battle," he began, "then cats raked out my eye, it sat on the ground till my sister had buried it," he meowed. "But then when she tried to save me from having my eye taken out, they scared her for life. Now she has a red, bloody, scar on her chest. And then the other cats stopped caring for my mother, as my sister says, she only has three legs." he cried. He tried to stop but just thinking about it made him start to cry. He looked away from the cats. "And now my home is here, I visit my sister every moon." he meowed.

Smoketalon raised an eyebrow. "And Fogstar just let that happen," he asked.
"Jaystar," Faunus corrected absently. He was letting his brain soak in all the details of the story.
"Jaystar? As in Jaypaw?" Smoketalon asked Faunus. He was confused. Had everything changed while he was away?
"Jaypaw became Jayfeather and then Jaystar," Faunus explained.
"But my brother was deputy," Smoketalon meowed. His tone of voice was becoming dark.
"Your brother became leader and Jayfeather was his deputy. Burntstar isn't the leader anymore."
This was alot for Smoketalon to take in. His brother had become leader of AquaClan! This was excellent! But why wasn't Burntstar still leader? Had he died? Faunus saw his face and decided the kittypet deserved to know. "Burntstar was exiled. He tried to kill Jaystar," he meowed carefully.
Smoketalon's heart thundered loudly in his chest and his stomach flipped. He whirled around to face Deadsoul. "Is that true?" he demanded," Did my brother try to kill Jaypaw...Jaystar I mean?"

"Yes, to tell you the truth." he meowed. "Sadly, right after Jaystar became leader, that's when I was exiled." he meowed.
"Then I came looking for him here and now I'm going to fight at his side in battle." Deadsoul meowed.

"No," gasped Smoketalon," No!" His legs fell out under him and he slumped to the ground.
Faunus rushed forward to comfort the tom. "Scatter!" he yelled, with urgency," We need to take him back to AquaClan."
"Home...Burntfur...why?" mumbled Smoketalon. The tom was clearly distressed. His brother, his dearly beloved brother, the one he sacificed himself for, had betrayed his clan and been exiled. Now he was going to have a battle. It was too much. Too much.

Scatter rushed over.
"We have to find some way of carrying him between us." She nudged Smoketalon gently.
"Smokey, you useless lump, get up," she said, almost caringly. "You need to get back to your clan."

Faunus nodded and buried his nose under him. He lifted the tom up a little and helped the shaken tom to his feet. "I told Orchidtail and Owlfoot I'd meet them at the AquaClan border," he informed Scatter," I think we can get him there." Smoketalon simply nodded absently.
"I want to go home," he mumbled.

"Okay." Scatter stood on the other side of the Aquaclan cat, supporting him.

Faunus nodded and led Smoketalon away. The grey tom walked slowly, his head down. "I know it's an awful shock," Faunus began.
"Yep," Smoketalon grunted.
"But you must be strong. You must accept what your brother did. He had his reasons. We're going to take you to AquaClan now. We have a bit of a deadline so could you walk a tad faster?" Faunus continued, her voice gentle and soft. Smoketalon quickened his pace in response.
Faunus looked over Smoketalon's shoulder to look at Scatter. "Thanks," he meowed to her," For looking after Smoketalon when I was RainClan. I know I shouldn't have left but I'll explain later okay? I owe you that. I owe you alot"

Scatter looked at Faunus over the Aquaclan cat.
"Yea, you'll have to tell me that sometime. Soon." She looked up at the sky. "I think we should pick up the pace a bit. Its getting dark, and you clan cats are extra edgy in the dark. I dont fancy being caught by a patrol."

"I will," he promised. "Don't worry about a patrol. We're meeting a RainClan one. Do you remember Orchidtail from the Gathering? Well, she is on it. They will accompany us to AquaClan," he meowed, quickening his pace. Scatter's worries had reminded him that the clan cats weren't the only cats edgy after dark. Any rogues out hunting were bound to find them and rip them to shreds. He pulled his shoulders back in a weak shudder.
((Go to Time for a new Deputy. We will be moving to AquaClan from that.))
