Tigerstripe crept toward AquaClan camp, swimming in the river. She was going with the current, so it required little effort. She was not going to become a permanent member of AquaClan just yet, but rather to talk with Jaystar and decide what would be best...especially after Morningstar's warning. She leaped out of the river and shook off. Now was the hard part...waiting. Tigerstripe sat under the tree, hoping that he would come soon.

Morningstar jumped out of the river, "Remember what I said young one," she whispered. "Tell your mate, death shall not come till when he is ready to share tounges with us in the clouds," she purred. Then she dissapeared.

"Oh my." Tigerstripe flicked her ear, confused. So Jaystar wouldn't die until he...wanted to die? StarClan was so confusing sometimes. Actually, all the time. But what was she doing to complain? Hurry up, Jaystar...

"Tigerstripe!" Jaystar meowed with joy. He was on patrol alone and he found her by the willow tree. He rubbed his muzzle against her cheek. "You seem confused" He tilted his head

Tigerstripe purred for a moment before speaking. "Well, Morningstar was with me on the way over. She told me something like 'death won't come for your mate until he is ready to share tongues with the clouds'. Along those lines. And"--she pressed her side against his--"I can't stay in AquaClan without bad stuff happening."

Jaystar kept his head tilted "Does that mean--" He shook his head. "I don't want to die" He meowed "What does it mean?" He wailed quietly.

Tigerstripe shrugged her unusually prominent shoulders. "I think it means that you won't die until you want to. It's nice to know that you don't want to now." She looked at the ground, a little embarrassed.
"I asked Morningstar if anyone else knew about this besides her and the two of us."

Tigerstripe stifled a somewhat strange laugh. "Um...she said 'our future kits,'" she mewed, with a nervous twitch of the whiskers.

"Morningstar told me not to," she mewed. With a joking, sarcastic air, Tigerstripe spoke again. "How about joining BeachClan and leaving your leadership skills behind? Icestar would probably kick you out, though." She flicked her tail lightly across his Jaystar's flank.

She blinked once. "No idea." The she-cat glanced up at the stars of Silverpelt. "See anything? I see stars." Tigerstripe tucked her tail around her paws. This was a somewhat awkward moment.
